[00:00:30] Hey guys. Good evening. Hey, welcome to life walk with Christ. God. If you remember, we are on Exodus 14, actually chapter 13. We're on verse 10 and we're going to continue on. What's, what's going on?
[00:00:47] And Moses is still, you know, telling the people everything. And here we go.
[00:00:54] Verse 10, page 84. King James Bible.
[00:00:57] Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year. And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites as he swore unto thy fathers, and shall give it to thee that thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix. And every first, first link that cometh of a breast which thou hath the males shall be the Lord. And if you remember, all the firstborn of, of everything is God's. He has kept it that way. And the reason for it is during the passover, he put a curse and, and said he hardened Pharaoh's heart and it cost him his firstborn's life. And everybody's firstborn, all the servants and everything else, except for the Israelites and those with him as long as that they put the blood on board both the sides of the doors and up over the top. So the firstborns are gods. So let's move on down. Verse 14. And it shall be when thy son asketh in the in time to come, saying, what is this that thou shall say unto him? Be strength of hand. And the Lord brought us out from Egypt from the house of bondage. And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the Lord slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. The first. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all that openeth the matrix, being males. But all the firstborn of my children I redeem. And it shall be for a token upon thy hand and for the frontlets between thy eyes. For the strength of the hand of the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt.
[00:03:03] And as we're, we're talking about this everything. Think, think about this. God sent his one and only son there.
[00:03:14] The first. And, and, and if you look at it, God is included all the way through Genesis and through, you know, Exodus and all the way through the Bible. You're going to see. He always puts the beasts in there, or the animals or the earth and everything. It's all encompassing. God loves all of it. He loved what he did. It was good.
[00:03:39] So don't, don't forget that. That is, that is an important part that it's these aren't just for man, but this contains, encompasses everything.
[00:03:51] So when he says I am the Lord your God, it is referencing to the earth, it is referencing to the beasts, it is referencing to man. It all encompassing.
[00:04:03] So let's move on. And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said least pre adventure. The people repent when they see war and they return to Egypt. But God led the people about through the way of the wilderness and the Red Sea.
[00:04:28] And the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. You could see the choice. God's love, God's mercy, God's grace. You could see how he's still letting people make decisions. So when they rebel and they're stiff necked, okay, yeah, God could say okay, I'm going to make you do this. Or when they're hardened like Pharaoh, they still, he still lets us make decisions. He's not interfering with that. It's always been our choice. But you can see that it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go and God led them not through the way of the Philistines, although that war was near for although that was near for God said least pre adventure. The people repent when they see war and they return to Egypt their choice.
[00:05:26] But God knew this. So we're going to go a different way.
[00:05:31] And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had straightly sworn to the children of Israel, saying God will surely visit you and you shall carry up my bones away from hence, away from hence with you. He pledged, he's keeping the word here. And they took the journey from Sucketh and encamped in Etham in the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by the day in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light and to go by day and night. And he took not away the pillar but of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
[00:06:20] And why is that? During the day there's already light out.
[00:06:25] And therefore the clouds there people know he's with them at night. He's the fire. For the darkness cannot overcome the light as we'll, we'll soon find out going onward. But that is an important thing because as we're going to see, and we're already seeing hints in the Old Testament of Christ, I mean they're parallelisms and we're seeing this stuff, but we're going to see hints of, you know, Christ saying, okay, you know, I am the light, I am the way.
[00:07:01] It's absolutely wonderful. Chapter 14. Here we go. Exodus, and we're on page 85. And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying that they turn and encamp before Philly Hithra, between Migdal and the sea, over against Balziafon, and before he encamped by the sea. For the Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, they are entangled in the land, in the wilderness has shut them in. I will harden Pharaoh's heart that he shall follow after them. And I will be honored upon Pharaoh and upon his host, that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so. And again, here's that I am the Lord. And always starts off, I am why I am who I am.
[00:07:56] So. And that was Moses. So we know that. And it was told of the king of Egypt that the people fled and that the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people. And they said, why have we done this? That we have let Israel go from serving us? And he hath made ready his chariot and took his people with him, prepared for war. He's coming after him.
[00:08:21] And he took 600 chosen chariots and all the chariots of Egypt, and curtains over every one of them. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel. And the children of Israel went out with a high hand. But the Egyptians pursued after them all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and all the horsemen and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea beside Philarf and Philarof and.
[00:08:54] Boy, these words are tough. I'm sorry, but. Elzia, Elzefon, and here. One second, guys, let me close this door real quick because I can hear them echoing in.
[00:09:13] Sorry about that. I have a pit bull Diesel here.
[00:09:18] And he is always Come here. He is always following me. So I am his buddy, he is my buddy. So he's always following me and always next to me. And he came in the room, left the door open.
[00:09:32] So let's see. Israel.
[00:09:36] Israel rebels against God. And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. And they were sore afraid. And the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord, and they said unto Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore has thou dealt, dealt this way with us to carry us out, forth, out of Egypt. It is not the. It is not this, the word. What we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians, for it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.
[00:10:22] So they're complaining already.
[00:10:25] They've complained pretty much about everything, even after seeing all of God's miracles. And after Moses came to the elders and showed him the miracles that God gave him, sticking his hand in the. You know, the staff and everything that happened. And Pharaoh kicks them out. They give them jewels, they give them gold. They give them. They plunder them. And now all of a sudden, they. They see what's going on, and Pharaoh's coming up, and they think that God has abandoned him. And. And they're ready to turn back around and go right back into bondage, right back into misery. Misery loves company.
[00:11:03] So let's go with God. Opens the Red Sea.
[00:11:09] And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not. Stand, see and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show you today. For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, ye shall see them again. No more, forever.
[00:11:29] I mean, it is just going to be. You're done with them. Don't worry about them. There's nothing to go back to.
[00:11:36] God is going to deal with them. You will not have to worry about them again.
[00:11:43] And.
[00:11:45] And the Lord said unto Moses, wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward. But lift up thy rod, stretch out thy hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
[00:12:03] So not only is he parting the seas, understand, they're going on dry ground. They're not going into the mud. They're not getting hung up on anything. God is showing them exactly how he's going to do things. And if you see an ocean part before your eyes, I would think, I don't care who you are, Israel or anybody. And you know it's God doing it, which you know it's not Moses.
[00:12:34] Then you have to say to yourself, whoa. But they are not doing this. So I. You know, their lack of faith, lack of hope, been beaten down for so long, and selfishness is consuming them.
[00:12:53] So let's see how this turns out.
[00:12:56] And you could see God's upset with them.
[00:12:59] Why are you crying out to me? I told you I would be with you. And. And again, doubt.
[00:13:06] And behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians that they shall follow them. And I will get me honor upon Pharaoh and upon all his host, upon all his chariots and upon his horsemen. And the Egyptian cell shall know that I am Lord. And remember, that was one of the things he's trying. Pharaoh thought he was a God.
[00:13:29] And he had his magicians, sorcerers, and everybody else trying to outdo Moses, threw the snakes down with their staffs. And the staff of Moses turned, when it turned into a snake, ate their snakes. So he's trying to let him know you are not any bit of a God at all because of their doubt and their unbelief. He is showing them through all these things happening. I am the Lord.
[00:14:01] And Moses is going to pay, or Pharaoh's going to pay the part for it. He's going to pay for it.
[00:14:08] And.
[00:14:10] And the angel of God which went before the camp of Israel removed and went behind them. And a pillar of cloud went from before their face and stood behind them. And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. And it was a cloud and darkness to them. But it gave light by night to these, so that the one came not here, not near the other. All might he. He separated them. So on one side they're dark, and on the other side, the. You know, the Israelites are fine, but they cannot see each other, know each other where they're at. Nothing it has separated them. God has made sure that he has kept almost like a wall in between them.
[00:15:05] And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground. And the waters were a wall up unto them on the right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued and went in after them to the mists of the sea. Even Pharaoh, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots and his horsemen. And it came to pass that in the morning the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud and troubled the host of e of the Egyptians and took off their chariot wheels. And they, you know, drove them heavenly. So the Egyptians said, let us flee from the face of Israel.
[00:16:04] That was dry, dry ground for the Israelites, but surely wasn't that way for Pharaoh and them so.
[00:16:16] And the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians. And the Lord said unto Moses, stretch out thy hand over the sea that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea. And the sea turned into Returned to his strength when the morning appeared and the Egyptians fled against it. And in the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned and covered the chariots and horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them, there remained not so much as one of them, but the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea. And the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left. Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians. And Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians. And the people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and his servant Moses.
[00:17:27] So they're getting a little bit of retrospective everything that has just happened. And now they're like, whoa, okay, God is with us.
[00:17:39] Then sang Moses and the children of.
[00:17:42] Of Israel this song unto the Lord and spoke, saying, I, I will sing unto the Lord. For he had triumphed gloriously the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
[00:17:55] And wait till we read about this later in Jeremiah.
[00:18:00] And it's really Great. It's chapter 51:21. The Lord is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation. And he is my God. And I will prepare him a habitation. My Father's God, I will exalt him.
[00:18:18] The Lord is a man of. Is a man of war. The Lord is his name Pharaoh's charity. And what does that mean, looking at this, when he says, you know, the Lord is a man of war.
[00:18:31] It makes him sound, when you read the Bible, that, you know, ruthless or, you know. But that's not true.
[00:18:43] God is slow to anger, and we know that. And full of mercy and full of grace. And we're going to see that as we go all the way through. So why they sing this hymn, understanding they were being chased and going to be slaughtered? At least they thought they were. So God intervened. And when he intervened and took care of them and slaughtered them. And you have to understand, the reason he did it was the Egyptians did not worship God. They did not believe in God, so they were worshiping other idols.
[00:19:20] They thought Pharaoh was a God.
[00:19:23] So of course, God is a jealous God.
[00:19:27] Anger is a God given emotion. So a lot of this plays into this.
[00:19:37] And the right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power. Thy right hand, O Lord, have dashed into the pieces the enemy.
[00:19:47] And in the greatness of thy excellency has thou overthrown them. That rose up against thee. Thou senneth forth thy wrath which consumed them as stubble.
[00:19:59] And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together. The flood. The flood.
[00:20:08] The flood waters were gathered together. The flood stood up upright as a heap. And the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake. I will divide the spoil. My lust shall be satisfied upon them. I will draw my sword. My hand shall destroy them.
[00:20:30] Thou didst blow with thy wind. The sea covered them. They sank as lead in the mighty waters. Who is like Thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in the holiness, Fearful in praises and doing wonders? Thou stressed out thy right hand, and the earth swallowed them up. Thou in Thy mercy has led forth the people which Thou has redeemed. Thou has guided them in Thy strength unto thy holy habitation. And the people shall hear and be afraid. Sorrow should take hold on the inhabitants of Palestine.
[00:21:12] And the thing is, is as we're also talking to this, they're realizing no one's like God. And the land that he's going to give them is, you know, he's redeemed the people.
[00:21:27] And all of a sudden he's going to take hold and. And bring these people into this. This. This holy land. And why is it my strength unto my holy habitation.
[00:21:42] And guided them in my strength to. Unto thy holy habitation. Because that land is. Is inhabited by the people that don't believe in God, worship idols, stone, wood, whatever.
[00:21:58] So when God comes in there and cleans it out, yes, it is holy. And how many times have you seen people that come up to God and he's like, take your sandals off. The ground on which you're standing is holy. Holy.
[00:22:14] So understand, anywhere in the presence of the Lord and the Earth is the presence of the Lord. Understand? It is here, everywhere.
[00:22:24] The earth is a living thing.
[00:22:28] So that's why this is all encompassing. It's everything.
[00:22:37] Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed. The mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them. And the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. Fear and dread shall fall upon them. By the greatness of thy arm, they shall be as still as a stone to thy people. Pass over, O Lord, Till the people pass over which thou has purchased.
[00:23:03] What is. What does that exactly mean? That he's purchased them, he's redeemed them.
[00:23:09] But they are, understand, they are to serve God. They are to honor God. They give praise to God. So, yeah, they're his people, his chosen people. He Owns them, purchased them. He's bought them. He has brought them out of their cries, out of bondage, out of, you know, being abused and everything else. They're his people, so he's going to protect just the same as anybody else would.
[00:23:46] Of course, we're not God. But the assets, the different things that you have, that's what God's interested in, is those people, their hearts. He's interested in them. They're his holy people.
[00:24:00] Fear and dread shall fall upon them by the greatness of thy arm, and they shall be as still as a stone. Now we'll move on to verse 17. Thou shalt bring them in and plant them in the mountain of thy inheritance. In the place, O Lord, which has made for thee to dwell in the sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
[00:24:22] The Lord shall reign forever and ever.
[00:24:25] For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen unto the sea.
[00:24:32] And the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. And Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a thimble in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbals and with dances. And Miriam answered them, sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed, triumphed gloriously. And the horse and his rider hath.
[00:25:00] He hath thrown into the sea. And of course, we're seeing things where Pharaoh's on the other side. But no Pharaoh followed his men.
[00:25:11] For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his Chariots, verse 19, chapter 15, Exodus.
[00:25:18] And with his horsemen into the sea. And the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel were on dry land in the midst of the sea. So understand, all of them gone.
[00:25:34] So.
[00:25:36] And you know this is going to get told throughout the land. And you're wondering, well, if the Israelites are there, who's going to tell it to other peoples and stuff? And how would it get spread that fast throughout the land where other people are going to tremble about what happened, I'm sure, back then. And we can only assume, and we should never assume, but there were people all around that heard the different rumors and the things that went on. Remember Christ tells us in, in the New Testament, you're going to hear rumors of wars, wars, rumors of wars. And people are going to say, there he is over here, or, there he is over there. Don't listen to them.
[00:26:19] All this happens, too.
[00:26:21] This is where the Bible kind of reproves itself, because I'm sure. The story was told and told again and again and again and again. So did it make the kings of other lands fear God? You bet.
[00:26:36] Because who wouldn't at that point? I think that's a problem that we have today is people don't fear God the. The way that we should. We always figure we have time. We always figure that, you know, this is a different time and everything like that. God's not coming anytime soon. How do we know he can come tomorrow? We don't know. Or if your life ends, are you right?
[00:27:08] Can you be blameless before God? Yeah. You commit sin, but are you following Christ?
[00:27:14] Are you following God?
[00:27:17] So I think it's important that we. We take kind of take a deep look at that. So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea. And they went out into the wilderness of sure. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. And when they came to.
[00:27:35] To Mara, they could not drink the waters of Mara, for they were bitter. And therefore the name of it was called Mara.
[00:27:46] And the people murmured against Moses, saying, what shall we drink?
[00:27:52] And he cried unto the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree which when he had cast into the waters the waters that were, were made sweet. And he had made them for a statue and an ordinance. And there he proved them and said, if thou will diligently hearken unto the voice of. Of the Lord thy God, and will do which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments and keep all his statues, I will put none of these diseases upon thee which I have brought upon the Egyptians. For I am the Lord again, I am that that healeth thee. And they came unto elam, or 12 wells of water, and three score and 10 palm trees. And they encamped there, near there by the waters. Now think about this. These people are murmuring against God or whatever, hey, what are we going to drink now? What are we going to do? It's like they're.
[00:28:59] What are you gonna do there? Just sit there, weep and sob? Or are you going to trust in God that he is going to take care of you? I mean, they're. They're not getting it. But.
[00:29:12] And as we. We go here, chapter 16. And I love this part, preserved from hunger.
[00:29:21] We're on page 88.
[00:29:23] And they took their journey from Elam. And all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of sin, which is between Elam and Sinai, on the 15th day of the second month after the departing out of the land of Egypt. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness again they're complaining. Here we go. And this is why God says they are stiff necked people.
[00:29:53] They have no faith. They, they, they are not having faith. They're not having, they're, they're always in I, I, they're just unbelievably selfish. And aren't we all today, Aren't we all. And, and that's one of the things but, and the children of Israel said unto them would to God had we died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt when we sat by the fresh pots and Eve and when we did eat bread to the full, ye have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with, with hunger.
[00:30:38] You know, they think because they were eating there and they were being beaten and slaves and everything again. Misery loves company. But the truth of it is God has promised them lands unto their ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, flowing with milk and honey. He's, he's told them he has started this. He is taking them out, heard their cries, getting them out and all of a sudden they think that he's going to forget them. And they have no patience. It's unbelievable. Then the Lord said unto Moses, behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day that I may prove them whether they will walk in my law or no.
[00:31:26] God is a little bit you I, I sense doesn't mean I'm right. But he is.
[00:31:33] This people, are they going to sit here and walk in my law, Obey my statues, be obedient because they're not doing it now.
[00:31:42] And it shall come to pass on that sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel at even then you shall know that the Lord hath brought you out of the land of Egypt again.
[00:32:05] Are they not believing they have seen all these things happen and they're going to Moses and Aaron as if they're the ones doing this.
[00:32:17] And it's only through God it's going through them that it's being done so. Just a very stiff necked people they are. And God is going to say I'm going to rain down bread, food for you from heaven.
[00:32:33] How glorious would that be.
[00:32:37] And in the morning then you shall see the glory of the Lord.
[00:32:46] For he heareth your murmurings against the Lord and what he and what we that you murmur against us. And Moses said this shall be when the Lord shall give you in the evening fresh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full, for that the Lord heareth your murmurings, which you murmur against him. And what. And what are we. Your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord. So he's. He's making a very wonderful statement here that Moses and Aaron have told them. You're. It's not us. You're not murmuring against us. God is hearing what you're doing against him.
[00:33:32] And you've seen everything that he's done, and you're doing this against him. You're speaking against him, not against Aaron and I.
[00:33:42] And it's important to understand that. And Moses spoke unto Aaron, say into all the congregation of the children of Israel, come near before the Lord, for he hath heard your murmurings. And it came to pass as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness and behold the glory of the Lord in the appeared in the cloud.
[00:34:05] And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak unto them, saying, at even shall you eat flesh. And in the morning shall ye be filled with bread, and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God. And it came to pass at even the quails came up and covered the camp. And in the morning, the dew lay around about the host. And when the dew that day was gone up, behold, upon the face of the new wilderness, there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, it is manna for they waste. They wish not what it was. And Moses said unto them, this is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. They don't know what it is. They don't know. God has already told them it's coming from heaven.
[00:35:04] This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded. Gather every man according to his eating, an omer for every man according to the number of persons. Take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some more and some less. And when they didn't, they did meet it with an omer. He gathered, gathered much, and had nothing over. And when he gathered little had no lack. They gathered every man according to his eating. And Moses said, let no man leave of it till morning notwithstanding, they hearkened not unto Moses, but some of them left it until morning. And it bred worms and stank. And Moses was wroth with them. So they're not listening to the commands again.
[00:35:56] And when you're saying God is slow to anger, understand, they're not listening, they're not understanding, they're not perceiving, they're not hearing, they're not singing.
[00:36:09] And you're going to see this in the New Testament Cross reference again. Why is everything in parables? Well, because they can see, but they can't perceive.
[00:36:22] They can hear, but they cannot understand.
[00:36:25] So at least they. They do and they repent. Here we go. And they gathered it every morning.
[00:36:34] So it came to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man. And the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. And he said unto them, this is what that which the Lord hath said, tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord.
[00:36:58] Bake that which ye shall will bake today. And seeth that ye will seeth. And that which will remain remaineth over lay up for you. And kept into the morning. And they laid it up till morning as Moses paid. And it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. And Moses said, eat that today, for today is the Sabbath unto the Lord.
[00:37:26] Today ye shall not find it in the field.
[00:37:31] Six days shall you gather it. But on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, in it there shall be none. And it came to pass that there went out of some of the people on the seventh day to go gather, and they found none. And again they're going out there, they're not believing, there's no faith, and they're trying to go on out and gather more. And he was very strict about. He said, listen, it's the Sabbath, it is holy. You will do no work. You will not do that. So gathering, doing stuff like that, working to try to get it, that is not honoring the Sabbath.
[00:38:10] And the Lord said unto Moses, how long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
[00:38:18] And he's asking, how long are you going to disobey me? See that the Lord hath given you the Sabbath, therefore he giveth you on every man in his place. Let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
[00:38:32] So the people rested on the seventh day. And the house of Israel called the name, therefore Manna. And it was like coriander seed, white. And taste of it was like wafers made with honey. And Moses said, this is the thing which the Lord commandeth fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness. When I brought you forth from the land of Egypt, an artifact.
[00:39:08] And, and we, we've said this. How does the Bible help reprove itself? There's artifacts we can follow, timelines, genealogies, the stars. We. There's so many different things. Science.
[00:39:22] Here it is.
[00:39:26] And Moses said unto Aaron, take a pot and put an omer full of the man of therein and lay it upon. Lay it up before. Lay it up before the Lord to keep. To keep for generations, as the Lord commanded Moses. So Aaron laid it up before the testimony to be kept. And the children of Israel did eat manna 40 years until they came to a land inhabited. And they did eat manna until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Now, an owner, an omer is the tenth part of an ifa.
[00:40:04] And the wonderful, wonderful thing about this, back then, they had different names for everything. Shekels.
[00:40:11] How many ounces of gold is that? You know, and the one thing I love about a King James study, Study Bible is we can, we can go in there and see.
[00:40:25] And I'm going to skip over here to see what an omer is here.
[00:40:33] And I love this because it will, let's see, strong on wearing. I'm looking for it. Omnipresence science, Omnipotence, Omen, anomaly equivalent.
[00:41:11] Grandson of Esau. And you can go back and look at it in Genesis 36, 11 and 15. But the, the wonderful thing about it is the study Bible can show you exactly what it equals to. You can also go on Google and you can say what is an omer? And it will give you all the information.
[00:41:33] Okay, so now let's move on again.
[00:41:42] Chapter 17, Preserve from Thirst again.
[00:41:48] Now at one of these times, we're going to see where Moses kind of makes God angry again.
[00:41:56] And it is just.
[00:42:01] I'm sure he's frustrated, but I mean, these people just keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. And it's got him in so much trouble that God has. He is wearing out the generation, you know, because he's not going to let them see the new land. Their offspring will, but they will not. So before we get into chapter 17, preserved from thirst again.
[00:42:35] Everything that is going on, it's. Who is rebelling against God. It is the Israelites. It's been everybody so far, but he has chosen this people.
[00:42:51] And they just keep doing it, and they're just so stubborn. And every time that I see this in the Bible, looking at it going through there, I'm like, oh, my goodness. And you just want to face, palm your hand because you're just like, how long will they keep doing this? And it's like, oh, my gosh. You know, most of us today would love to be in the presence of God, actually talking with him, seeing the miracles firsthand.
[00:43:20] Here's the key. We do and that, that's one of the wonderful things about God. He does hear our moans, he hears our cries and he answers us and he shows us miracles every day. We just have to perceive them, have to see them and take the time and, and appreciate it and understand his mercy and his love. And reading the Bible is a very complicated thing. And I say this, I'm, I don't. I'm still learning so much from it. And of course, I'm not a deacon, a pastor, rabbi, priest.
[00:43:59] I'm nobody. I'm just a guy that loves to read the Bible and loves to share it. But I can just tell you, and it's open to so many different interpretations and I have to remind people of that all the time.
[00:44:15] It's a great, wonderful love story.
[00:44:18] A lot of ways it's poetically written. There's a lot of theology to it. The parallelisms are just unbelievable.
[00:44:26] But it always comes down to the same thing.
[00:44:32] God's mercy, God's grace, God's love.
[00:44:35] And it's never ending, never ending. And he never breaks a promise. He never does anything like that at all. So I think we're going to stop there tonight. I have a lot going on today, but we're going to stop at chapter 17 and I'm going to put 113 on here.
[00:45:00] I am going to try to catch you guys next Monday, but I'm going to ask you a favor.
[00:45:06] Sherry is having surgery and it's kind of a major surgery on her back.
[00:45:13] So if you can send her a prayer, I would be grateful.
[00:45:20] I love prayers. And keep her safe. And God will do that, but we'd appreciate it. Be good to one another, love one another.
[00:45:31] Even when you're at that, you know, make sure that you're doing your best to try to calm down, handle it a different way.
[00:45:45] Be loving, be caring, but always be with God. Always be with Christ.
[00:45:54] With that, I am going to go. Guys, I wanted to say thank you so much and we will catch you next time on Life Walk with Christ. God, thank you for joining me. And anytime that you want to chime in or comment, the invite should always be on the thing, unless I forget it. But you're more than welcome to, to comment and, and if you see something that I'm not seeing or maybe I'm misunderstanding or you are interpreting it a different way than I am. Hey feel free comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and what you're seeing on it because sometimes different perspectives are just even that much more better. And I, I just love that it's more education in God, in Christ God. So I always enjoy that. I love talking. I could talk for hours and hours but not tonight. We're. I'm going get ready to eat dinner. We're eating late but thank you. Please pray for Sherry.
[00:46:52] Speedy and just a safe surgery. May that God guide the surgeon's hands in this and thank you Lord. We love you and thank you for all that you do for us. Every day is a miracle. So thank you God and we are out of here.
[00:47:18] If it lets me.
[00:47:22] Come on.
[00:47:23] It's not letting me sa.
