[00:00:00] Speaker A: Ram. [00:00:31] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. We're. We are in week nine. Welcome everyone to trim radios off sides. College Football's top 25 +5 with our hosts John and Kalyn. I am just here for comedy relief. That's what I am here for. To add my 2 cents. That's not worth 2 cents and I like that. So. So anyway, why don't we have a little fun here? We're going to talk about what happened this last weekend because there was some embarrassing things that happened this weekend. And let's just start on off first how we always do. John's going to go over the top 25 and I need to get right here. I know that we have in here. There we are. And I forgot to make a copy of this. So now I must make copy. [00:01:39] Speaker A: Now you run out of ink. [00:01:41] Speaker B: Yes, it must happen. So I am making a copy right now. Nice thing about it is. Oh, no. Printer select. What? Oh, there we go. Okay, now we can print. There we go. See, I like printer. Printer work with phone work. Well, so let's, let's get on into it. A lot is was going on. We saw some upsets last week, didn't we? [00:02:12] Speaker A: And some just fired. [00:02:15] Speaker B: Yeah. We have coaches that are no more and they don't have any friends and no one to go to. So we're going to cover that as well. Kelly, would you please hand me a pen over there? So. Oh, actually I got one right here. So we can jot down the crimes of the coaches that got fired. And John, I'll let you start off on the coaches that got fired with was it right, Was it wrong? We will talk about it right here, right now. [00:02:52] Speaker A: I would say it's always comes down to wins and money. [00:02:58] Speaker B: Yes. And what coach got fired so far? Now. [00:03:05] Speaker A: Gundy at Oklahoma State. [00:03:09] Speaker B: Saw it coming. Really? He should have been prosecuted long time ago for his poor performance. And I kind of knew he was going. I don't know where he's going, but he's going somewhere. We just haven't figured it out yet. Right now it's just out the door from Oklahoma State. Justified. Not justified. [00:03:38] Speaker A: Yeah, justified. He's. He was. He was riding the bad pony. [00:03:42] Speaker B: He was. I'm not even sure he was riding the pony more than he was hanging on to the tail. Yeah. So next, Coach Franklin at Penn State. Yeah, I told you guys, I, I said this from the onset of college football. He's 10 and 2 or 9 and 3 guy. And then when you add in Oregon, he could be eight and four guy. Well, he's not their guy anymore. So he's the guy who just went out the door. You know, I, I have mixed feelings on this. Right until they lost to Northwestern, I was like, you don't fire 10 and 2 guy. At least he tries to put you in a spot. But they looked abysmal. And it was, it was really, it was embarrassing. It was like putting on a great play, except it wasn't a good play, you know, it was just a bad play. So he had to go. He'll end up coaching somewhere. But I, I'm not sure. [00:04:47] Speaker C: If I were him, I'd go coach at a high school somewhere, taking about a dollar a year and let a Penn State pay out. What was it, 7 million a year? [00:04:55] Speaker B: It, it's, they're going to owe him 49 million unless he tries to get, he has to try to get a job. From what I understand, he, he has to try to get some kind of employment. Now I'm thinking if it were me, and I mean just me, Walmart greeter is something that I'd be interested in. [00:05:15] Speaker A: What I would do is get on my cell phone that was not charged and sit there and go, oh, it just won't go through. [00:05:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I put resumes out everywhere and I can't get a job. Pay me my seven to eight million dollars, please, and, and go from there. And I think that's a problem. It brings up a good question about the buyouts that these coaches have. So they're astronomical. I mean, if you look at Florida's, I. Billy Napier is. I'm gonna tell you, he's a hot balloon that's floating away and he's hanging on by yarn. Okay. I mean, but his buyout is going to keep him tethered to the hot balloon until it comes back down and lands. [00:06:09] Speaker A: It'll land in South Florida. Yeah. [00:06:15] Speaker B: Go stay in the. [00:06:16] Speaker A: He won't even make it out of state. [00:06:19] Speaker B: Yeah, he'll stay in the state. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Next coach deshawn Foster. Ucla. [00:06:28] Speaker B: But you know what? UCLA is on a roll. [00:06:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Because I got rid of him. [00:06:33] Speaker B: Yeah. I, I mean, they're, they're, they're downright scary now. And obviously they have the capability of beating up a few teams. You know what I'm saying? So they're a little, they're a little scary, you know, the Big Ten. [00:06:54] Speaker A: So Indiana has ucla. [00:07:01] Speaker B: Yep. That's gonna be a good game. [00:07:05] Speaker C: We're gonna see how good UCLA really is. [00:07:07] Speaker B: No, we're going to see how good Indiana is. If Indiana rolls ucla, Ohio State should Be very, very careful, because, I mean, if this is a role and they keep going and they've already taken. They have head to head over Oregon, they're going to the championship because I don't think that they have a schedule that is unfavorable to them at. At any point now. [00:07:36] Speaker C: No, they're. [00:07:37] Speaker B: They're. They've worked through the. I. I don't. I don't see them. Are. Are they as good as they are, John, or do you think Indiana defensively? [00:07:48] Speaker A: Yes, I. You know, once they start getting up against top 10 defenses, we'll see how good that offense is. [00:07:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, we saw this last year, and then Ohio State came in and pretty much gave them a reality check. [00:08:11] Speaker A: Only giving up 25 points this year. [00:08:14] Speaker B: Yeah, that's scary. Yeah, that's scary. [00:08:19] Speaker A: So 25. [00:08:21] Speaker B: Yeah, 25. All right, let's go through our top 25. [00:08:31] Speaker A: John, you want to go through the rest of the coaches that got hacked? [00:08:36] Speaker B: Oh, who did. Who did get. Was it really? How many? [00:08:40] Speaker A: We have at least a half a dozen. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Did we. I thought there were four. [00:08:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Coach. Coach Brent Pry at Virginia Tech. He's gone. [00:08:50] Speaker B: Oh, I knew he'd be gone. Yeah, that was that. He was in a bad card game and, you know, he folded, you know. [00:08:59] Speaker A: And Sam Pittman at Arkansas be gone. [00:09:04] Speaker B: Oh, they did get rid of him. Yeah. And see, I remember we were talking before, and I said, arkansas, you don't know which team's gonna show up sometimes. Yeah, well, you don't know which coach is going to show up now. So that'll take care of that problem. [00:09:27] Speaker A: Next, Trent Bry at Oregon State. You go 06. It's time to do something else, like crochet or pottery. [00:09:42] Speaker B: Putt. Putt Instructions. Job's got the man do it crochet. He's knitting and stuff. He is gone. [00:09:55] Speaker A: Maybe floral arrangements. [00:09:57] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, my goodness. That's classic. [00:10:07] Speaker A: All right, next up, Trent Dillford, uav. [00:10:17] Speaker B: That's kind of a. I mean, I know UAB did fire him. Yeah, they got rid of them. Okay, I did not know that. Yeah, well. Yeah, well, he's another one looking for a birdhouse, you know? So who else? [00:10:39] Speaker A: We got Jay Norhole at Colorado State. [00:10:44] Speaker B: Oh, the Rams. That's. Yeah. Okay, well, that. That's. That's another one. That's. Wow. Who else. [00:10:54] Speaker A: Who else is on the hot seat but our friend Kelly Napier? [00:10:58] Speaker B: Napier's got to be on the hot seat. There is no way that this man is not on the griddle. Okay, look, they be no he's still on the griddle. He's on the griddle, man. He's gonna be. I. I don't understand it. He. And I'm going to tell you who else is on the hot seat. Kelly, I think Kelly's on the hot seat. He's on the griddle. You know, it's. It's a matter of, you know, is he flipping burgers? What's going to happen because. [00:11:32] Speaker A: And who else I. I think is on the hot seat? Shano at Rutgers. [00:11:39] Speaker B: Yes, I would agree. [00:11:41] Speaker A: 28 and 39 in. In six years. [00:11:45] Speaker B: Yep. Six times. You know, six times he's failed. [00:11:54] Speaker A: How. How many years in a row can you go? Five and seven. Six times. [00:11:59] Speaker B: Yeah. That's like the. How many licks to the center of the lollipop? One, two, three. Three. [00:12:12] Speaker A: And Luke fickle. [00:12:15] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Luke's on the. Yeah, Poor Luke is turning gray. It's like he went through a whole. Oh, yeah. I. I mean, it's beyond midlife crisis. The man is. The man is decaying before everyone's eyes. I feel bad for him. [00:12:32] Speaker A: When you're snapping that. Reporters. It's time. [00:12:35] Speaker B: Yeah. And, you know, I feel bad because he's a guy that really. Well, yeah. No, he's on a hot seat. You can only defend him so much, and, yeah, he's in trouble. Shall we get on to it now, fellas, or do we have another. [00:12:56] Speaker A: That's a list of them right there. [00:13:01] Speaker B: Cheers to you all. Will, Luke, Phil, Will, Luke, and. And as a matter of fact, Napier. Last. Nope. Are you sure? Nope. So. All right, so we move on. Top 25. [00:13:24] Speaker A: John, you want to start at 1 or 25? [00:13:30] Speaker B: Well, Kayla, what do you think? [00:13:34] Speaker C: Let's start. [00:13:35] Speaker B: You want to start at one? [00:13:37] Speaker C: Let's go. [00:13:37] Speaker B: He says he wants to start at one. [00:13:39] Speaker A: Number one is Ohio State, of course. And. [00:13:48] Speaker B: Go ahead. [00:13:49] Speaker A: They're seven and all. And guess what they get this week? [00:13:53] Speaker C: A buy. [00:13:54] Speaker A: The second buy. [00:13:58] Speaker B: Yeah. It's time for a nap again. I. I can't. You know, John knows it's coming. [00:14:04] Speaker A: Yeah, I know. [00:14:06] Speaker B: I feel a lecture coming on. Yeah, My thing is this is. You know, what. Play the season. You know, all these. These buys we're not really getting into. Why do you need a nap? Okay. Play the sport. Let's go. Just wind and grind it out, and that's what I say. I. I never like idle weeks. It's. I don't see any advantage to it. I see absolutely no advantage to it. I don't know what you see, John. I don't know what you see. [00:14:44] Speaker A: I gotta tell you, these surgery that week. Yeah. [00:14:48] Speaker C: It's a good time to reflect on how your team's been playing. It's a good time to get down up in fundamental coaching again. Back to square one. Get them back on page. Or it's a time to sit there and reflect and wonder where the hell you up. [00:15:04] Speaker B: Oh, you know, you can't say sorry. Pardon. [00:15:10] Speaker C: A nice reflection on current times. [00:15:15] Speaker B: Much better wording I to me. John, do you get a nap during the year? Do you get a nap from work? No. [00:15:27] Speaker C: You know, if I hide well enough. [00:15:29] Speaker B: No, it's called a vacation. But you have to earn it. And my thing is this. It is. You know, it's not a long season. [00:15:37] Speaker C: No, it's not. [00:15:38] Speaker B: Okay. And you know, I get everyone. Maybe one. I'm not happy with idle weeks. Okay. Maybe one. So. [00:15:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I, I don't, I don't. [00:15:50] Speaker A: And you weren't happy with them at one. [00:15:53] Speaker B: I know. [00:15:56] Speaker A: Idol. Oh, no, Michael. [00:15:58] Speaker C: Two weeks off is. [00:16:01] Speaker B: Do teams deserve two weeks off? [00:16:07] Speaker A: No. [00:16:08] Speaker C: Oh, hopefully, you know, as, as you're sitting there looking at it, you're going into, you know, extended games and everything now, even with a 16 game schedule, have a first string, second string and third string for a reason. You know, these kids are going into school, they're coming here to play. Nobody out wants to sit on a bench all their life, you know, and you should be playing these guys. So. Yeah. In the sense of do I agree that they should have a week off? [00:16:39] Speaker A: No. [00:16:42] Speaker B: Let me tell you how it's working. Okay. [00:16:44] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. It's money. [00:16:47] Speaker B: Everyone's getting cash. You understand? That ain't time to take off. [00:16:51] Speaker A: If I was a parking attendant, I'd be upset because I'm not getting my scratch. [00:16:58] Speaker C: You get it? It's like you're collecting a paycheck, my friend. Get your, get your ass out there and work. [00:17:04] Speaker B: Get to work. That's right. [00:17:07] Speaker A: All right, number two, every school in the group of five. 20.5 million a year. They're guaranteed for school nil. [00:17:19] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. And. And then if, if. Well, when should we have open. Open portal? I mean, to me is this, you know, I, I think at the end of the season is a time you can have an open portal. You could talk about that right before the beginning of the season. You could talk about an open portal. But what do you do, what do you do with these kids that are on Penn State? You know, if they're five stars or four stars, you know, and Franklin's gone now they want date, you know, they're ready to cut bait and go. [00:18:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:02] Speaker B: So what do you do with them? And. And of course, the other schools are licking their chops. No, no. Ready to. [00:18:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:11] Speaker C: I'll put it to you like this. You should have a portal open at the end of the season. If your season is done sucks. You gotta wait for everybody else's to finish too. It's just that simple. Now, you know, should we put stipulations on it, you know, like, oh, could you take visits? Could you do this, that and the other? Yeah, sure, you, you could do this type. You could have communications. But as far as making decisions, actually making transfers, things like that, it should be a window and you know, it should start at the end of the year. [00:18:39] Speaker B: I think if you go past, you go past five games. If you go past five games. Yeah. Okay, then that's the way it should be. You'll have to wait to the next portal window. That's. [00:18:50] Speaker C: Here's the thing about it. It's like, if you go in. And now it's a little bit different with like the, you know, nil and everything else as far as like the transfer portal goes. But here's the point about it is if you're going to go into the transfer portal, finish your damn season. [00:19:05] Speaker B: That's. [00:19:05] Speaker C: It's that simple. Because at the end of the season anyways, if, if you don't get into another team, and a lot of kids need to realize this, if you don't get into another school and pick up on a scholarship or something, your scholarship's done. The minute that you decide that you're going into the transfer portal and you commit to that, your scholarship's done. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Well, that might be, but you're talking about four and five star kids. [00:19:29] Speaker C: It doesn't matter. [00:19:29] Speaker B: Somebody's going to be attracted to them. [00:19:31] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:19:32] Speaker B: They're. They're going to have that opportunity. [00:19:34] Speaker C: But at the same time, why did you go to that institution for in the first place? [00:19:38] Speaker B: Cash. [00:19:42] Speaker C: And now as an institution, you got to go, you know, what are you standing on? Tradition, heritage. That went out the window the minute he started talking about money. [00:19:50] Speaker B: Well, some of the coaches went out the window and that's. It's not the kids fault. They thought they were going to be. [00:19:55] Speaker C: Going, no, but where's your structure? That's the, that's the point. Where's your structure? When are you going to start saying that? Enough with the money. [00:20:02] Speaker B: It. All right, well, what, okay, so you want to, you want to rein in name image and Likeness? No. Okay. Or are. [00:20:09] Speaker A: Are you. [00:20:10] Speaker B: Are you going a different direction and saying, okay, you know, do we need to do this? I think if it's before four games. [00:20:19] Speaker C: Here's the thing about it. If your name, image and likeness has to be put up into a. A contract form anyways, where you have to fulfill your contract in order, you know, to get your buyout, to get your payout, then it should be the same way with your scholarship. If you took a scholarship to that. [00:20:34] Speaker B: School, it should be a contract. At that point, it was with Nico Imalaba, but if you looked at it, he lost money. He's the only one. [00:20:43] Speaker C: That's the point. That's the point exactly. [00:20:46] Speaker B: Okay? [00:20:47] Speaker C: That is how it should be played out. If you decide upon yourself on bad judgment. [00:20:55] Speaker B: No, he's a bad business kid. [00:20:56] Speaker C: That's the point. [00:20:57] Speaker B: Do you understand? I. You know, if he's in the stock market, go to somebody else. He hasn't started. Well. [00:21:08] Speaker C: You know, just think he could have stayed at Tennessee, shut his mouth, taken what they were giving him. And look at. Look at. Look at this year. Look where Tennessee's at. [00:21:18] Speaker B: Look where UCL Aguilar, I think, is better than Im Lava. Yeah. You know, I. I mean, but 10. [00:21:27] Speaker A: Tennessee has two losses already. Yes, they. [00:21:31] Speaker B: Okay, they do. But let's look at those losses. Georgia. Correct. And number two, Bama. Bama. [00:21:43] Speaker A: And. And Bama's number three in our rankings. [00:21:45] Speaker B: So. And. And when you look at that. Okay, Bama. Easy decision. Georgia. No, they had Georgia beat. [00:21:54] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:21:54] Speaker B: Bad kicker. Bad kicker. [00:21:58] Speaker A: He was shaking. He was checking in a parking lot. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Yes, he. He was Ted Knight out there. I. I never sliced. You know, I. I could almost hear him after it. [00:22:13] Speaker A: Oh, you know, the slice was a duck hook. [00:22:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Spalding. But. All right, so I don't know where that's a. Here nor there. [00:22:31] Speaker A: We'll. [00:22:31] Speaker B: We'll get into all that later. Sucks for the kids. I feel bad for them in a lot of ways. But who had the most offensive and defensive team coming back? TCU was one of them. Penn State was another. How do you mess that up? Okay. How do you mess that up? [00:22:50] Speaker A: You let 102 coach. [00:22:53] Speaker B: Well, you let 10 and 2 coach, but you brought in Jim Knowles. Okay. And. And obviously Ohio State let him go. They didn't know. They didn't counter offer. [00:23:04] Speaker C: No. [00:23:04] Speaker B: They were like, here you go, buddy. All right, you know what? That's a great opportunity for you. And look at the defense on Ohio state today. John's right. 25. [00:23:15] Speaker A: 25. [00:23:19] Speaker C: That makes you answer Question now, what was the problem, you know, last year with Ohio State versus Oregon versus Michigan in certain areas, you got to ask the question what, what is, what did the JJ and Jim Knowles fallout consist of? [00:23:37] Speaker B: Well, I thought the answer was clear. They let him go to Penn State. Oh, yeah. [00:23:44] Speaker C: So now you got a guy that's from Pennsylvania, took over as a defensive coordinator. [00:23:52] Speaker B: He's doing phenomenal, there's no question. Oh yeah, he did his part. Can he do good like that against the big time teams, though? About, you know, my, my thing is this command. Patricia's defense, hold up against the Alabamas. Can it hold up against the Georgia's who somehow or another have swallowed a horseshoe and are kicking themselves on down the field? It's amazing. I mean, it's incredible watching Georgia. Lane Kiffin has to be angry as angry can be. It's the same old thing. He just, he's not getting it done. But you know, Georgia looks good. They, they hang in there. They are playing a level above the competition, so. But style points don't matter anymore. You, you do not need to pick the dog's tail up and wail on it with the plank like fog on Leghorn. You don't need to do that anymore. You could just win the games now and it doesn't matter. And then when you look at Louisville taking out Miami, you know, the acc, where do you go with that? I mean, you got Clemson, who's just. Hey, Dabos. Dabo Swinney, hot seat. [00:25:21] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, right. [00:25:22] Speaker B: We forgot about him. Okay. [00:25:25] Speaker C: About him. I was just wondering when everybody's gonna mention him. [00:25:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I, well, I mean, he's. [00:25:30] Speaker A: On a rolling boil. [00:25:32] Speaker B: Oh, he's turning the stove up on himself. It's incredible. So never have I seen somebody getting burned and then reach out over. [00:25:42] Speaker A: Did. [00:25:43] Speaker B: Put it to full heat. Put it to full heat. That'll be interesting. All right, go on, John. [00:25:56] Speaker A: So number two is Georgia. They're idle. [00:26:00] Speaker B: They're sleeping. Ohio State sleeping. Georgia's sleeping. [00:26:04] Speaker A: Number three is Alabama. [00:26:07] Speaker B: Alabama. [00:26:09] Speaker A: And they have Tennessee at Alabama. [00:26:17] Speaker C: Give me 10. [00:26:21] Speaker B: So that's who we got this week, right? No, that was last week. Alabama's at South Carolina this week. Alabama beat Tennessee. [00:26:32] Speaker C: I know, that's what's up, John. [00:26:33] Speaker B: And I told everybody pick against Alabama, and everyone was like, well, maybe you can. Just a minute, man. [00:26:46] Speaker A: No. [00:26:47] Speaker B: Oh, not so fast, my friend. Alabama's good. The defense is coming alive. They're peaking at the right time. Ty Simpson has seemed to take on over the field. His, his looks are better. All Of a sudden. I don't know. Maybe. Is it shock therapy from Deoer? I. I don't know. But no, I think, I think what. [00:27:14] Speaker C: It is is that Saan has threatened to come out of retirement so much that he's now living with Debor and hanging out with him constantly. And Debor is now the chauffeur. [00:27:24] Speaker B: So it could be and it could. [00:27:25] Speaker C: Be, but he's got, he's got the. [00:27:28] Speaker B: Goats behind him and, and it might be, but can they hold against Texas A M? They beat, they, they beat Georgia, so, you know, and they beat out Tennessee, so, you know, Alabama's up there. They. They. We're going to see how they. Right. And it doesn't. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Devour was given the Taj Mahal and he started to make it look like a killer court. [00:27:55] Speaker B: Yes, he's. He is. [00:27:57] Speaker A: Next up, number four, Indiana. [00:28:03] Speaker B: They're very hard to read, but they look like a very legitimate, solid. [00:28:08] Speaker C: They're an elite team. [00:28:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, Signetti has. [00:28:11] Speaker C: It's, it's. Do they have weaknesses? Of course. You know, if you watch their games, you can see it, it's apparent. But the thing about it is, is that the coaching is so subtle, you know, superior to the skill set of the players that he's actually getting these two stars and three stars to compete, like four stars and five stars. Oh, and you see it. You're seeing it. It's evident, you know, when they're playing. [00:28:36] Speaker B: It'S a revival on the football team. I mean, he is, he has brought these kids, you know, that nobody gave them a chance. And he has turned around and, you know, given him CPR and revived him and moving forward. I mean, Indiana was not. Who was this team the last two years? Everyone's amazed. And before that we were like, well, that could be a win check. A win check. Not anymore. Signetti has him going in the right direction. And if they pull off the upset A against Ohio State, their recruiting ability. Oh, yeah, is going to just skyrocket. It's really going to open the door for them. Can they win against Alabama's? Can they win against Ohio States? Don't you know, can they win against Georgia's? I mean, when you start talking about the high echelon teams and they've already knocked Oregon out right now Oregon's got one loss. It's got a sting, it's got to hurt. Dan Lanning left his glasses at home when he made the game, game plan. So now they're going to have to really step up the pace. [00:29:53] Speaker A: He's really scratches when he saw Michigan State have Indiana down in the first half. [00:30:00] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. So we, we shall see. [00:30:05] Speaker A: Number five, Texas A M. [00:30:10] Speaker B: Golly. Very fast. I mean, the quarterback can book. I, you know, he, he must have run cross country somewhere. I, I, I don't know where, but that kid is fast. The running backs, fat, good, speedy team, strong defense. They're winning games. [00:30:29] Speaker A: They have LSU this week at Texas at a L. [00:30:35] Speaker B: I, I Sorry, I'm taking a M. Yep. [00:30:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:40] Speaker B: Kelly is on a downfall. Things aren't looking good and, you know, I don't know. [00:30:47] Speaker C: This might be where A M trips up. [00:30:50] Speaker B: You think it's a trap game? I, I, I, I don't know. I think the only trap's going to be set is for Tigers, and that's what I think. But we shall see. We shall see. All right, so we have Ohio State's idol. Don't have to worry about that. George is idle. Indiana is at ucla. Does everybody like Indiana? What do we have at that? And they're at ucla. Yeah. [00:31:21] Speaker A: I'm still gonna pick Indiana just because of their defense. [00:31:26] Speaker B: What, what does our great swami say on the board? [00:31:32] Speaker A: It said Indiana plus 24. [00:31:41] Speaker B: All right. And I'm sure. Great swami. The Texas a M&LSU game, please. [00:31:50] Speaker A: Texas A&M by eight. [00:31:53] Speaker B: That's what I think too. I, I, I think that's a very fair. You know, I, I think three to seven is real expectation. Could be a close game, but then it could be Brian Kelly's. Give us back the key card. [00:32:10] Speaker A: You know, oneway ticket to Cincinnati. [00:32:15] Speaker B: That's right. You're all right. Oregon and Wisconsin. Wow. [00:32:23] Speaker A: That'll be a, that'll be a wood, Wood chipping. [00:32:26] Speaker B: I think so, too. [00:32:28] Speaker A: That will be fickles. I don't know. [00:32:33] Speaker B: I'm gonna say, swami, that the computer has it. Oregon 21 over Wisconsin. [00:32:40] Speaker A: And the computer has Oregon plus 22. Oh, not 25, but 22. [00:32:56] Speaker B: 22. Okay, now this next one. Oh, yeah. So we're looking at Ole Miss at Oklahoma, right? [00:33:13] Speaker A: Yep. [00:33:13] Speaker B: Okay. I can, I can barely read those. The red and the white. I don't know why it's it. I'm waiting for my new glasses to come in from the va they're not here yet. [00:33:25] Speaker A: The government's down. I mean permanently. [00:33:27] Speaker B: So, yeah, again, they're idle. See, that's why I don't like that. Do you see? It doesn't help anybody. They're napping. All right. Ole Miss at Oklahoma. Oklahoma, I think, has a defense that can match Ole Miss. They do not have the offense. They do not have the offense. I think Ole Miss could, but it's at Oklahoma, so Oklahoma could be surprising. Swami, what do you have? This is going to be a close game. 7 points or less. [00:33:59] Speaker A: Ole miss by 6. [00:34:07] Speaker B: I agree. [00:34:08] Speaker C: I'm saying go miss by 12. [00:34:10] Speaker B: Alabama is at South Carolina. The games have been very close the last couple of years. You know, this year. Not this year. No. I like Alabama over Carolina. And, and I hate to say this, Carolina fans are going to be mad at me, but by 18. Yep. [00:34:32] Speaker C: Y' all are gonna get belt too asked. [00:34:36] Speaker B: Yeah. They're gonna get a woodshed. Yeah. Curbed. [00:34:41] Speaker A: I didn't even look at this. 17. [00:34:46] Speaker B: 17, 17. [00:34:52] Speaker A: Alabama plus 20. [00:34:55] Speaker B: Oh, I said 18. I'm too off. Listen, I'm matching the defense of Ohio State. I'm holding my own. I think I have five points now. Five points from, from being. Yeah, I'm right there. That I agree. I think that's what's going to happen. Notre Dame is sleeping. [00:35:19] Speaker A: Are they? I didn't look. I'm looking. [00:35:21] Speaker B: Yeah, Notre Dame is taking a nap. Okay, next game is going to be Missouri at Vanderbilt. [00:35:35] Speaker C: Oh, give me Vandy. [00:35:37] Speaker B: And, and I gotta tell you, I, I, I said this before. [00:35:42] Speaker C: Hey, hey, how about that pick, Vandy? [00:35:45] Speaker B: Oh, I picked him too. I, I thought Vandy would get it done and they got it done. Will they get it done against Missouri? I like Vandy. And it is. It's at Missouri, correct? Or is it at. It's at Vandy. [00:36:02] Speaker A: It's at Vandy. [00:36:06] Speaker B: Vandy by two. Talk to me, Swami. [00:36:10] Speaker A: Missouri by plus eight. [00:36:13] Speaker B: Missouri by eight. Oh, they think the kid's gonna run it right down their throat. No, John, am I wrong? [00:36:21] Speaker A: Ahmad Harding, number one in rushing for the, for college football, 115 rushes, 840 yards and nine TDS. Still taking, man. [00:36:37] Speaker B: All right, I'm gonna go neutral on this one until we can figure it out. I, I don't know which way I'm going to go on that one. I, I'm, I'm. You're taking Vandy? You're sure? Yep. Kaylin is taking Vandy. Just so that everybody knows, I've taken. [00:36:56] Speaker C: Vandy all year and I've only lost once. [00:37:01] Speaker B: Not so fast, mister. Okay? The running game is something to behold with this kid. He's got 800. He's got 800 yards against Bama. [00:37:15] Speaker C: That's what Missouri said against Georgia. [00:37:17] Speaker B: I told you not to go against Bama. Yeah, Did I not say don't vote. [00:37:22] Speaker C: How many losses Missouri got? [00:37:24] Speaker B: John, do you vote against Bama? [00:37:28] Speaker A: Missouri has one loss. [00:37:30] Speaker C: Against who? [00:37:34] Speaker A: Now I have to look it up. [00:37:36] Speaker C: If I remember correctly, I think it was Bama. [00:37:38] Speaker B: I think it was Georgia. [00:37:39] Speaker C: It's either Bama or Georgia. [00:37:44] Speaker A: But I think now I'm gonna look it up. [00:37:48] Speaker B: I'm gonna say Bama. [00:37:52] Speaker A: They lost Obama. 27. 27 to 24. [00:37:56] Speaker B: I told you. [00:37:57] Speaker C: Dang it. 27 to what? [00:37:59] Speaker A: 24. [00:38:00] Speaker C: And what was the score between Bama and Vandy? [00:38:05] Speaker A: Bama and Vandy. Come on. That was 30 to 14. [00:38:21] Speaker B: Bam. Bama, don't go against Bama, okay? I just. There. You could almost count on him. It's like a good card in a card game. Somewhere along the line the ace is going to pop out. [00:38:39] Speaker C: So who do you want to take in that then? As far as Vandy versus Missouri. [00:38:44] Speaker A: Missouri. [00:38:46] Speaker C: You think Missouri is going to score more points? [00:38:48] Speaker B: I think they could run it down their throat. [00:38:51] Speaker C: That's possible. [00:38:52] Speaker B: I mean the kid is a runner, okay. And he's a bulldog to boot. He's almost got 900 yards already and we're only in the ninth game. He's going to be a 1500 yard tailback. [00:39:04] Speaker C: I, I get that. What I'm getting at though is they'd. [00:39:07] Speaker B: Have to shut him down. [00:39:08] Speaker C: Vandy sells out on the run. Does Missouri have the weapon power to go through that? [00:39:14] Speaker A: Backup QB though was on the bench from week one on or week two on. The starter is still hurting. His name is P R I B U L A Prula. [00:39:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:44] Speaker B: Whatever. Whatever. [00:39:46] Speaker C: Sounds a lot like puberty. Give me Missouri. [00:39:51] Speaker B: I don't know. I. You know, it's at Vanderbilt they're saying Missouri by eight. I think it's going to be a lot closer than that. If they can sell out, they can stop the run. [00:40:07] Speaker A: So the backup quarterback for, for Missouri. 1600 yards in seven games. [00:40:16] Speaker B: That's pretty good. All right, I'm taking Missouri. I've made my decision. [00:40:22] Speaker C: Is the defense capable of stop and land? [00:40:28] Speaker B: Yes. Pavia, you got. All you have to do is spy the kid. Okay. Because he likes to try to take the game into his hands. I think this is where Vanderbilt gets their second loss. I like what John says. I think they're going to run it right down their throat and I don't think there's a thing they're going to be able to do to stop it. [00:40:47] Speaker A: They're going to take the air out. [00:40:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I am, I'm, I'm taking Missouri on this one. I just, I just don't think after what Alabama did And, you know, I, I like. I like Missouri. All right, next one. BYU and Iowa State. [00:41:08] Speaker C: Cougars. [00:41:12] Speaker B: I do like the Cougars. The Cougars are undefeated, are they not? [00:41:17] Speaker A: They are. [00:41:19] Speaker B: You know, I, I like them. I. I think Swami, what Has it got? [00:41:26] Speaker A: BYU by 10. [00:41:28] Speaker B: Like it? I like BYU by 10. All right, the next one. Here we go. This will be very interesting. This is Texas against Mississippi State, who, believe it or not, has given some people some fits. They haven't won 3, 4, but they're going to get a win here against Texas. You think they're going to get a win? I don't think so. I'll take Florida. Got a win against Texas by 10, swami. [00:42:00] Speaker A: Texas by 12. [00:42:04] Speaker B: Look, come on, come on, give it to me. Ah. Well, Texas. Texas got beat. Yes, they did. And they did. They got. But Napier was on. I told you he was on that yarn. And he's probably told the team. Listen, guys, I. I'll give cash play, you know, do something. They're gonna fire me. [00:42:35] Speaker C: No, Texas is finally falling apart because Arch Manning ain't crap. [00:42:43] Speaker B: He's a tomato thrower. We all know this. We all acknowledge it. He can. He can sidearm a tomato into a vw. Okay? Right through the window. There's no question they struggle with Kentucky, huh? [00:43:00] Speaker A: They struggled with Kentucky. [00:43:02] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm taking Mississippi State. [00:43:06] Speaker B: Who do you have on that one again, Swami? [00:43:09] Speaker A: Texas by 12. [00:43:12] Speaker C: Ultimately, I'd see Texas winning, but I would not be surprised. Surprised at all. Mississippi State pulls out an upset. [00:43:18] Speaker B: Okay, but that's not a pick you, you can't. I see Texas winning, but don't be surprised. Wait a minute here, mister. You know, all right, I like Texas on that one. I do. I think they can get it done. Mississippi State is not. [00:43:34] Speaker C: I mean, that's where they're gonna get their first. [00:43:36] Speaker B: Kentucky likes to pay people. Close. All right, and that's Tennessee at Kentucky, as we're speaking of. [00:43:46] Speaker A: Give me 10. [00:43:47] Speaker B: Oh, I think Tennessee by 20, swami. [00:43:52] Speaker A: Tennessee by plus 18. [00:43:56] Speaker B: Look, I'm on a roll, baby. [00:43:59] Speaker A: I'm. [00:44:00] Speaker B: I'm on a roll. [00:44:01] Speaker A: They're gonna walk from Knoxville to Lexington because it's only a three hour road trip. And then they're going to walk back home. [00:44:15] Speaker B: This, folks, is where I told you Foghorn Leghorn grabs the dog by the tail, okay? And then the dog chases them and then gets hit in the face with the pie, okay? That's just how it's gonna go. I think Tennessee's got a great defense. They've showed it. They definitely showed it with Georgia. They Have. They're tenacious, you know, when it comes to defense. And their offense is not that bad. Angular seems to throw things high, but he's got very tall receivers, so he could kind of make up for that. They don't have the greatest run game they did, but he's gone now, so. But I still think Tennessee gets it done. I like Tennessee. Very interesting on the next one. Georgia Tech is one of these teams again, that has swallowed a four leaf clover or a horseshoe. Okay, I haven't figured out which one yet, but they have done it. I, I Right now they're running off of adrenaline. That's what it is. The old dopamine's going, you know what I'm saying? They're undefeated. And Syracuse. [00:45:48] Speaker A: I. [00:45:50] Speaker B: I like Georgia Tech. Bites three. Nope. [00:45:54] Speaker C: I'll take Georgia Tech by 15. [00:45:58] Speaker A: Swami, I got my stuff all out of order. My fingers are numb. Where'd you go? [00:46:17] Speaker B: Syracuse. Sauce. Didn't they, didn't they take out pit, though? [00:46:37] Speaker A: What? I think I did. I think I printed the wrong way. [00:46:47] Speaker B: Let me see what I got. Let me see, let me see. Hang on. [00:46:52] Speaker C: All right, all right, all right, all. [00:46:53] Speaker A: Right, all right, all right, all right. Georgia Tech is playing Syracuse. [00:47:13] Speaker B: Yes. [00:47:17] Speaker A: I just don't know where the page is. Georgia Tech, Syracuse. I thought I had my stuff together. Georgia Tech by 16. [00:47:41] Speaker B: Okay, all right. I blew that one. I said three. It's 13 off. All right? Everybody has a bad pick. Okay. All right. I like Georgia Tech. LSU is idle, correct. Who they got? Oh, that's right. [00:48:01] Speaker C: They do, don't they? [00:48:02] Speaker B: No. Yes. [00:48:04] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:04] Speaker B: Okay, where is it on the sheet? [00:48:08] Speaker A: Something's wrong here in the top. Top four. [00:48:12] Speaker B: Oh, there it is. Okay, okay. All right. All right, next one down, Memphis. [00:48:23] Speaker A: Memphis at South. [00:48:28] Speaker B: You know, the Bulls have not looked bad. What do they have? Two losses, one One loss. And Memphis has one loss, one loss also, Swami, what's the pick on this one? I'm gonna say it's very close, seven points or less. [00:48:52] Speaker A: Memphis by six. [00:48:54] Speaker B: Look at that, huh? All right, I'm back on track. You like the Bulls? I kind of like the Bulls, too. Where's it at, John? [00:49:09] Speaker A: It's at my finger said it's just not working. It's at Memphis. [00:49:22] Speaker B: Give me the Tigers. Yeah, I mean, the Bulls are good, though. They are. They're good, they're tough, and they're a tenacious team. Physical, very physical team. I'm gonna have to go against the odds here, and I'm gonna have to take South Florida. Florida. John, I don't Blame you South Florida on that one. I mean, that looks. That looks to me like a pretty solid pick. Of course, I'll be dreading it all day, but. Oh, well, now, next one on down, we have Miami versus Stanford. Miami is angry. They're coming off of a loss. They're not happy. They feel wronged. They got Carson. Becked it. It had to come out sooner or later. It was bound to show up. [00:50:36] Speaker A: Yeah, it's fine. Sign of Glick followed by a dose of the lightest. [00:50:49] Speaker B: Folks, that's an inside one. We know what it is, John. I can laugh about that. [00:50:55] Speaker A: Me, too. [00:51:00] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. That's a pretty accurate description, to tell you the truth. All right. [00:51:05] Speaker A: Especially. [00:51:09] Speaker B: He. What? [00:51:10] Speaker A: He died. [00:51:11] Speaker B: He did? [00:51:12] Speaker A: Yep. [00:51:13] Speaker B: Well, you know what? The man had his blood pressure always up. He's the only guy I know that could make a call to John. John's face to turn all red, and he'd come out, he'd say, that man's not happy. And we always knew it was him that called because we'd all laughed, thanking the Lord that we didn't answer the phone. Because the abuse you were going to take for the next 30 seconds was. [00:51:42] Speaker A: My ears are still shaking from it. [00:51:47] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Those were good times, sir. [00:51:51] Speaker A: They were, but they're full of remakes we shouldn't have to have done. [00:51:56] Speaker B: Yeah, not so fast, my friend. All right, so I like my Hemi in this one. Beck has to redeem himself. And, you know, we talked about him early. He was looking good. Heisman, everything in there. [00:52:14] Speaker A: You throw four interceptions in one game. That'll do it in. [00:52:17] Speaker B: Yeah, that'll. Yeah. I mean, four. [00:52:24] Speaker C: You know who else did that calm cord? [00:52:28] Speaker A: Four. [00:52:29] Speaker B: Four. Four. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Klubnick was another one, too. [00:52:39] Speaker C: Drew Aller. [00:52:41] Speaker B: Yes. Drew Aller. Yeah. They're very close. I like Miami in this one. I like Miami by at least. Least. At least 18. [00:52:53] Speaker A: The MA says Miami by plus 14. [00:52:58] Speaker B: Okay, not bad. Not bad. [00:53:00] Speaker A: Four. [00:53:01] Speaker B: Four. Okay, there's the four. [00:53:04] Speaker C: You're almost 20s. [00:53:06] Speaker B: Okay, I. I'm there. I'm already there. I was 13 off on the one. I'm. I'm at least at 22 to 24 right now. Okay. This one cost me four. All right, so Louisville versus Boston College. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. [00:53:32] Speaker A: If it gets snow, watch out, it's at Boston College. [00:53:39] Speaker B: I'm gonna say no snow. Louisville by at least. Least 24. [00:53:44] Speaker A: I say a Louisville by plus 20. [00:53:49] Speaker B: What do you got? What's swami. What's it say? [00:53:51] Speaker A: Plus 20. [00:53:52] Speaker B: Okay, four. I'm off again by four. I, I, I like Louisville, too. [00:54:00] Speaker A: Mikey was 51 today. It could snow on Saturday. [00:54:05] Speaker B: Yes. Okay, so we have Texas Tech versus Oklahoma State. I like, yeah, Texas Tech on this one. Oklahoma State has folded up the tents. Okay. They've become nomads. I don't know where they're going. You know, the coach is gone. The, it's not looking good. Texas Tech by 14. Sixteen right there. I'll say 16. [00:54:41] Speaker A: The mass says plus 24, but Oklahoma is 0 and 6. They'll be 0 and 7. [00:54:52] Speaker B: Yes. Four again. [00:54:55] Speaker A: Four. All right, so Oklahoma State is ranked 102. Not too. [00:55:06] Speaker B: Out of about what? One hundred and twenty. What, what is it out of? [00:55:11] Speaker A: One hundred and eleven? [00:55:14] Speaker B: One hundred and eleven. Next one on down, Illinois at Washington. That's what you got, Swami. Illinois by 10. [00:55:52] Speaker A: I have Illinois. I don't know. I kept updating during the week, so it's not accurate right now. Illinois 12. Illinois by 2 or 4. 4 points. Illinois plus 4. [00:56:15] Speaker B: I, I like Illinois by by 12. I do. [00:56:20] Speaker A: So guess who has the best coaching record after a bye week? [00:56:26] Speaker B: Illinois. Yep. [00:56:31] Speaker C: Bill. [00:56:31] Speaker B: He's, He's. Yeah, yeah. [00:56:33] Speaker A: He's lost one game after, After a buy. [00:56:38] Speaker B: Don't let me down, Brett. Don't let me down. And then we have SMU at Wake Forest. Yeah, smu. But the score at Wake Forest. Wake Forest has put on. They put on kind of some good shows here. [00:57:03] Speaker C: Not so fast, my friend. No, that's a musical blow out of water. [00:57:11] Speaker B: Give me a score. 14 by 14. I like it. I, I like SMU by by 14 to 16. [00:57:24] Speaker C: What's the computer get? [00:57:26] Speaker B: Swami. [00:57:27] Speaker A: Swami has SMU by PL. [00:57:37] Speaker B: I like it. [00:57:37] Speaker A: It's the ACC. [00:57:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I mean, yeah, you know, come on, you know, let's call it cupcake conference. Well, it's embarrassing a little bit, but. All right, next game up, John has to throw one of these in there, and he always does. Boise State at Nevada. Boise State upset unlv. Shocker. I was shocked. [00:58:08] Speaker A: And, and they beat him by a lot. [00:58:10] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm still shocked. Look at me. Am I shocked? I'm, I'm shocked. Okay. The Bluefield people won't be on the blue field. They'll be at Nevada. I, I just don't see Nevada getting out of there and going home to their, to their house in the backyard without getting charcoaled. I mean, I like the blue people by 8. [00:58:47] Speaker A: And the amount the computer says 6. 6 plus 12. [00:58:58] Speaker B: 4. 4 again. [00:59:02] Speaker A: 4. [00:59:06] Speaker B: All right, next one. Virginia. The last one on the main Games, folks. Virginia at North Carolina. Yeah. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Virginia. Virginia's only got one loss, North Carolina's got six. Yeah, North. North. North Carolina again, folded their tents and they're on the Oklahoma State, you know, trail. Okay. It's kind of like the Oregon Trail, but it involves Oklahoma State and North Carolina. They're the nomads. They're in the wagon. They're going somewhere, but they don't know where. I like Virginia. [00:59:47] Speaker A: Me, too. [00:59:51] Speaker B: Take Virginia by 10, Virginia by 12. 2. All right, next one up in the bonus round, folks, is worth talking. Where are you going? No, you can't. [01:00:09] Speaker C: There's. There's. [01:00:09] Speaker B: There's no there's. You're bailing. Why don't you do something? Give me a cup of coffee. Kids don't listen. Yeah. [01:00:22] Speaker A: Colorado at Utah. [01:00:24] Speaker B: I like Utah on this one. [01:00:27] Speaker A: Yeah. I think prime is primed to lose another game. [01:00:32] Speaker B: Yeah, he's. I. I just don't like it. Could it be close? I. I don't know, but I think it's at Utah. [01:00:40] Speaker A: Colorado, 3 and 4. Sanders is 15 and 15 after three years. [01:00:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I'm. I like Utah. I. I like Utah. By 10. [01:00:58] Speaker A: Utah. Utah. 10 by 10. [01:01:07] Speaker B: It's in the hole. Okay, I got a hold of that one. It's in the hole. North Carolina State at Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh can be a dangerous team. You don't know which Pittsburgh's gonna show up. They could be a dangerous team. North Carolina State has, what, three losses? [01:01:34] Speaker A: North Carolina State, they are four and three. [01:01:40] Speaker B: Four and three. All right, and let's go to. I'm sorry, I'm putting off my camera. Pittsburgh has three losses, right? [01:01:50] Speaker A: They're five and two. [01:01:52] Speaker B: Five and two. I like. It's at Pitts, you know, I. No, it's at North Carolina State, I believe. [01:02:04] Speaker A: That's right. [01:02:09] Speaker B: I like pit. Pittsburgh by 3. [01:02:14] Speaker A: The computer has Pittsburgh by 4. [01:02:19] Speaker B: Just on a roll. Roll, folks. Just a roll. All right. Minnesota at Iowa. [01:02:32] Speaker A: Minnesota. [01:02:40] Speaker B: Minnesota at Iowa. I gotta tell you, Iowa's got. Sometimes this offense shows up and sometimes it does not. The defense is there. The defense is nasty. The defense is good. But are they good enough to hold Minnesota? Nope. See that, John? No. I like Minnesota in this one again. [01:03:20] Speaker A: Plus four. [01:03:24] Speaker B: It's at Iowa. Huh? [01:03:27] Speaker A: It's a one possession game. [01:03:32] Speaker B: Yeah, it is. It's a one possession game. There's no question. I like the Golden Gophers. I'll take the Golden Gophers. Yeah. Yes. Golden Gophers. All right, Auburn at Arkansas. [01:03:52] Speaker A: Arkansas just lost a coach. [01:03:55] Speaker B: They're about to lose a game. They're, they're, they're definitely going to get another L. And I like, I like Auburn. I think Auburn takes care of business by 10, swami. What do you got? [01:04:21] Speaker A: You can send me to my corner because I did not do these all the games this week for the points. [01:04:30] Speaker B: What? What? [01:04:33] Speaker A: I, I didn't solve all the games. [01:04:37] Speaker B: I, I like, I like Auburn by 10 over Arkansas in this game. It could be even more. It could be 12. You know, I'm gonna say, the computer is going to say 12, but it's probably going to be 10. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Where are you? Arkansas? [01:04:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I got Auburn too. [01:05:00] Speaker C: Auburn got robbed. [01:05:06] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you gotta, you gotta factor in a couple of bad calls by the refs and unfortunately this is, this has been happening a lot. And I, I like Auburn in this one. [01:05:23] Speaker A: And you would think I would be able to find Arkansas in the list of teams. Send me to my corner. Okay, they're red. There they are, the red one. I said they're red and white and it showed up. It has Auburn by plus two. [01:05:52] Speaker B: Plus two. [01:05:53] Speaker A: Plus two. [01:05:54] Speaker B: Close game. [01:05:55] Speaker C: Okay. [01:05:55] Speaker B: All right, well, you're talking one possession. You're not. That's a field goal shank. I mean, yeah, I, I don't think so. I think that Auburn wins this game by at least 10. But. All right, so that's a point. I was almost nine. [01:06:16] Speaker A: Nine, nine. [01:06:20] Speaker B: All right, but. All right, last game, Toledo at Washington State. I like the Cougars. It's at Washington State. It could be cold. For some reason, I'm feeling the Cougars. [01:06:41] Speaker A: Believe it or not, the numbers say Toledo by +3. [01:06:45] Speaker B: Yep. I'll go to. You think the Rockets are going to prevail. And at home, at home at Washington State. [01:06:59] Speaker A: It'S three and four. [01:07:02] Speaker B: And that's why I'm taking the Rockets by three. All right, I'm glad that we discussed this. Oh, see, I told you I'm not here to do anything. There's no judgment here. Oh, oh. John expects this out of me. This is nothing new. Taylor expects us out of me. There's nothing new here. Nothing at all. All right, we're kind of get into our Heisman hopefuls. I will just give everyone a hint. Carson Beck is not in there. [01:07:54] Speaker A: He's in there, but he's way down list. [01:07:56] Speaker C: Now who's number one? [01:07:58] Speaker B: Well, it's not him. All right, here's where I get off the camera again. Now, Kaylin and John, you guys are going to decide. [01:08:13] Speaker C: Hello. [01:08:16] Speaker B: All right, so here we go. I'm adjusting the camera. You Just, just leave. Don't tell me what to do. [01:08:26] Speaker A: So you think the Heisman candidate is going to be a, a quarterback, a running back, a receiver, or someone on defense? [01:08:36] Speaker C: Is it all from one team? [01:08:39] Speaker B: I think in, in, in this time, as I'm adjusting this camera is like trying to lock the camera in. At this point in time, I believe it's going to be a running back. [01:08:58] Speaker A: So there's two running backs in the, in the mix. Ahmad Hardy from Missouri, 115 rushes 840 yards, or Jeremy Love from Notre Dame, 100 rushes for 758 yards. But he rushed forth 250 yards last week. [01:09:22] Speaker B: Well, the sun shines on the squirrel's butt every once in a while and he gets the acorn. [01:09:28] Speaker C: Okay, well, I said this last week, though, and I said, look, I said, outside of, outside of love, who would, you know who was going to prevail for Notre Dame? You got to hand it to the kid, though. He is Notre Dame's offense. [01:09:43] Speaker B: No. [01:09:46] Speaker C: Yes. [01:09:51] Speaker B: I think it's going to be a running back. I think these guys are really working hard. And you know, the quarterbacks, it's, it's more dependent on how the team does. And you have a lot of young quarterbacks. Drew Aller's gone. Beck is down there. He's taking a nap. You know, Let me ask you. Yeah, he's another one. That's, you know. [01:10:16] Speaker C: Let me ask you a question then. Is, is it wrong to state that a freshman should possibly be up for the reward? [01:10:22] Speaker B: Why not? [01:10:24] Speaker C: And Julian saying, well, no, no, not yet. [01:10:29] Speaker B: I, I don't, I think he's up there. But do I think he is a Heisman? [01:10:34] Speaker C: Hang on now. Because if you go and look at his stats right now, compared, compared to Will Howard of last year on the national championship team, he's got an 82. [01:10:43] Speaker B: He's better 0.2%. He's better QB rating. [01:10:46] Speaker C: He's. [01:10:47] Speaker B: Am I wrong, John? What is he, he might even be. [01:10:49] Speaker A: Higher than that, saying, yeah, let me look, let me look. Holy cow. He isn't 86.9. [01:11:07] Speaker C: That's insane. [01:11:09] Speaker A: But what he lacks in stats is touchdown thrown to the number one quarterback in ncaa, which is a wide receiver. [01:11:21] Speaker B: Yes, but you have to understand, they do use, you know, Jeremiah Smith as a decoy boy. I, I mean, he's taken two, three guys with him. Then you got Tate open, you got Ennis open, you've got, you know, Claire open, you've got. Jackson can run out to the flat. You, you know what I'm saying? And now you've got Isaiah west, who all of a sudden decided to come out and run like a gazelle. You know, I mean, you know, they're, they're loaded. C.J. donaldson is their mule. He can just bull you over and wear you down. And then all of a sudden you've got people see he likes to dance back there. They're loaded. I mean, it's very hard to prepare for that team. But Jeremiah Smith takes a lot of pressure off because he distracts and then everyone else gets open. So who's your number one Heisman hopeful, John? [01:12:35] Speaker A: Right now it would have to be Sawyer Robertson from Baylor. Yeah. 183 completions, 300 attempts, 2300 yards, 21 touchdowns. [01:12:54] Speaker B: Yeah, he's balling all right. I like it. [01:12:57] Speaker A: But the only, the only thing they are talking about with him is Baylor schedule. [01:13:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I was gonna say what's, what's Baylor's win, loss. [01:13:15] Speaker B: Hang on. [01:13:20] Speaker A: Baylor is 4 and 3. They lost to Auburn, Arizona State and TCU. And they played Cincinnati this week, so. [01:13:34] Speaker C: They lost to the nobodies. [01:13:36] Speaker B: And they're probably going to lose to Cincinnati. [01:13:38] Speaker C: And we want to give this kid the Heisman for what? [01:13:40] Speaker A: What again? [01:13:41] Speaker B: Bur. Trophy. [01:13:47] Speaker A: Their big win. [01:13:48] Speaker C: At least like, you could go to Jordan Love at that point and be like, look, you shut down Jordan Love, you shut down Jeremy. [01:13:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. [01:13:54] Speaker C: Or Jeremiah Love. Yeah. So it's like, you know, Jeremy, what are you, what are you holding the standard Toman here? Is it the best player in all of college sports, which is what it should be, or is this the participation trophy where stats against whoever. It doesn't matter. You know, you could be on the 0 and 16 team and. [01:14:15] Speaker B: No, I think that you have to have success along with it. That's the whole point of it. Exactly. [01:14:20] Speaker A: So this year they don't have a two way player. [01:14:24] Speaker B: Yeah. So. All right, the next one down is Clay Cade Clubnik, Clemson. I mean, he's sold for 15, 30 yards, 11 TDs, five interception, five. [01:14:41] Speaker A: I don't know why he didn't play last week. [01:14:45] Speaker B: I know why he's 62 QB rating. I mean, they're, they're, they're pressuring Dabo. Okay. They're telling them all in. Here you go all in. Try the other kid. [01:15:04] Speaker A: And he was out. And, and their wide receiver Westo is out for the year. So I don't know. You know, you got, you got the quarterback out, you got the wide receiver out and the, the player that they count for defense, TJ Parker. He's. He's on vacation. 24 tackles for the year. [01:15:31] Speaker B: Well, I gotta tell you. And they're out of the playoffs. Let's just round it out. That's four things. Four. Okay. [01:15:42] Speaker A: You know anyone who doesn't play, you know, well, I'll lead a team to a winning record. Club didn't play last week for I don't know what reason. It wasn't. He's not on IR or anything. [01:16:05] Speaker B: They aren't winning. That's why he didn't play. That's why they got a bench. Next down is Garrett Nussmeier, quarterback, lsu. [01:16:21] Speaker A: No. And he. He lost again last week. [01:16:28] Speaker B: Yes, he did. [01:16:30] Speaker A: No. As soon as he's put it into a. A shiny moment, he finds some way to doll up. [01:16:38] Speaker B: Yes. And he's got a 75.9 q quarterback rating, 5 intercept 5. 5 interceptions. Do I think he'll be winning the trophy? [01:16:52] Speaker A: He'll be. He'll be in the parking garage. [01:16:57] Speaker B: He'll be the attendant. Yeah, I think he's gonna win. Nope. Nope. All right. After that is Tommy Castellanos, quarterback, fsu. [01:17:11] Speaker A: And after week one, Florida State just keeps. Keeps on backing up, backing up. [01:17:18] Speaker B: Didn't coach Hot seat. Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah, he's. He's sitting on a bra. [01:17:28] Speaker C: The guy forgot which gear he's in and decided to pop it in reverse and just not let off the gas yet. [01:17:34] Speaker B: Yeah, he's. He's going down the highway. [01:17:38] Speaker A: FSUB Bama, week one. [01:17:42] Speaker B: And that was it. [01:17:43] Speaker A: That was it. [01:17:44] Speaker C: That was their season. [01:17:47] Speaker B: That. That was it. Of course, Bama is going to be scarred for life for that. Okay. [01:17:54] Speaker C: That's what Florida State's plan was this entire year. [01:17:57] Speaker B: We're gonna go out there, we're gonna. [01:17:59] Speaker C: Beat Bama's ass, and then we're just gonna tank the rest of the seeds. [01:18:03] Speaker B: And so we look like crap. [01:18:04] Speaker C: And then everybody's gonna wonder how good is Bam. [01:18:08] Speaker B: Bama's got PTSD from it right now. There's no question. So they're. They're. They're. They're suffering. After 10, Tommy Castellanos. Let's go to Arch Manning. Tomato thrower. Here he goes. [01:18:26] Speaker A: A lot of tomatoes at Kentucky. [01:18:28] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, yeah. He did the other fruit. Here we go. [01:18:33] Speaker A: I think you threw a shoe, too. [01:18:35] Speaker B: Yeah, he's got a good. Well, no, not really. A 67.9 QB rating. Oh. He's 81 for 135. As you know, he's got 1,449 yards, 12 TDs. [01:18:52] Speaker A: Five. Five. [01:18:59] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [01:19:00] Speaker B: And he's got 28 rushes for 121 yards, which is telling me the offensive line is not protecting them. And they're having to run. He's having to run. Nothing like running away. [01:19:14] Speaker C: Well, it's not from that either. The kid takes forever to see if something's open downfield. I'm starting to wonder if he's drugged out of his mind when he's playing. [01:19:23] Speaker B: No, I, I stands there and he. [01:19:25] Speaker C: Starts looking in the backfield like, where's the butterfly? Yeah, I don't see the butterfly. [01:19:30] Speaker B: No, I go back, I go. I go back to Eli Manning. There's no way this kid's our relative. He had to be after that. Well, this has been a debacle. Carson back, 84.4 QB rating, 10 rushes, 19 yards. That's not good. He was the Heisman leader after week seven, and I gotta tell you, he's had 11 TDs, seven interception, seven, four last week. [01:20:12] Speaker A: So. [01:20:15] Speaker B: Yeah, Drew Aller, who didn't even play, he's got a good QB rating of 55.7. [01:20:25] Speaker C: That's why you got three losses. [01:20:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not good. It's. It's. It's not. Yeah, it's just not good After Drew Aller. Lenore Sellers Quarterback, S.C. 73 for 114 for 1156 yards, five TDs, two interceptions, 48 rushes for 98 yards. He's running for his life. And it is not going to be pretty this week either. [01:20:56] Speaker A: Coach Beamer has to come up with a new plan. [01:20:59] Speaker B: Yes. And, and it's not solid right now. It has the potential, but it's not good. Yeah, it won't be good this week. [01:21:11] Speaker A: It started out well, and now the Gamecocks are three and four. [01:21:18] Speaker B: Yeah, they've got to write the ship, at least get to 4 and 4. But this week it's not going to happen. So you're gonna have to go the, the week after that to get to 6 and 5, maybe, you know, 7 and 5, but I don't think so. Well, they'll be Clemson. I'll give them credit. They should be Clemson. [01:21:38] Speaker A: Sure. [01:21:39] Speaker B: So we'll just say that they got one more win in there, but very disappointing season so far. Very disappointing. Now we're on to the receivers. Maki Lemon, USC. 48 receptions, 758 yards. And they just came alive. I mean, it's. I don't know what's going on over there, but it's like that kid's running from an earthquake. I I haven't figured it out yet, so. He's great. [01:22:19] Speaker A: Who did you ask to this week? [01:22:23] Speaker B: I'm sorry? [01:22:23] Speaker A: Who did USC lose to this week? [01:22:26] Speaker B: Notre Dame. [01:22:27] Speaker A: Oh, Notre Dame. Our friend Doug. [01:22:33] Speaker B: Doug. [01:22:35] Speaker A: Doug was there. [01:22:37] Speaker B: Congratulations, Doug. Doug, you got it. He picked it. I know he was happy. He was on that couch. He was cheering there. I got a little leprechaun guy running around the whole time. He's happy. Congratulations, Doug. You deserve it. We're glad you won. Kudos to Notre Dame. Next up, Mario Kramer. 36 yards, 674 yards receiving, four tds. Yeah, he's. He's not doing bad. He's not doing bad. He's not doing too bad. Right behind him, Jeremiah Smith, wide receiver, Ohio State. 40 receptions for 530 yards, 7 TDs, 13.2 average per reception. Again, very. One of the. The best. Probably the best football player in college football. Him or downs. And. And I will say he's the best decoy there is. Unselfish play. You know, he does. He says, fine, cover me. We're gonna beat you with Tate. We're gonna beat you with Dinis. We're gonna beat you with Claire. We're gonna beat you with Kaz, we're gonna go ahead. We'll beat you with Jack, we'll beat with Peoples, we'll beat you with cj. We'll beat you with Isaiah West. And it. It doesn't matter, but he's doing his job. Pull three here, pull two there. [01:24:14] Speaker C: Minnesota. [01:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And. And they still got beat. And a couple of catches he still made with three guys on them. [01:24:21] Speaker C: Yep. [01:24:21] Speaker B: Is embarrassing. I might change vote on Minnesota. [01:24:25] Speaker A: Ohio State played Wisconsin. The. The touchdown to tape. Everyone on Wisconsin secondary was focused on Smith. [01:24:39] Speaker B: Yeah. Yep. That's what he does. Who's that guy? Where's he going? It's her throwing the ball to him. [01:24:51] Speaker A: He ran right down the middle of the field. [01:24:54] Speaker B: Yeah. That's what he does. Made one little head bob and boom. Yeah. Wide open. That was it. And not by a small amount either is by a good eight yards. Was it five. Five steps? Six steps. Oh, easy. And the guy was like, oh, my God, he passed me. Yeah. What am I gonna do here? [01:25:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Slow down because he ran out of field. [01:25:14] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. He couldn't even grab the jersey or. Or get some kind of pass interference. He was already beyond that. Next one up, Aaron Anderson, wide receiver, LSU. 24 receptions for 324 yards. [01:25:32] Speaker A: He just fall apart. [01:25:36] Speaker B: Congratulations. One game like that, one more time. Kelly ought to be out the Door. He is on the hot seat. Running backs, here we go. Ahmad party. Missouri, 115 rushes, 840 yards, nine TDs. That's got animal written all. He's a pirate with the bottle. Next one down, Jeremy Love. Run. And this is why I said right now the running backs are looking the best. You know, I, I mean, I think it's a challenge in between the running backs right now, and I think they're the. The. The top echelon of getting the Heisman Trophy. Next down is Jeremy Love. Running back, Notre Dame. 100 rushes for 758 yards, eight TDs. These two are working. You know what? They're earning their scholarships. They're earning the cash. [01:26:45] Speaker A: Love, he's. He's better than seven yards of carry, five or more. [01:26:54] Speaker B: He's carrying the team. His back hurts. Yeah, he's carrying the team. He should be yelling at him, my back hurts. Please do something. And, and, you know, he's working hard. Defense, here we go. Yeah, talk to me. [01:27:17] Speaker A: 93 tackles. He's an animal. 93. [01:27:24] Speaker C: Flying on the field when you're. [01:27:27] Speaker B: Making 93 tackles for the year. I'm mad at everybody. I'm mad at everybody else. What are you doing? You're not contributing. Get off the field. Go sit down and. And, and think about what you've not done. [01:27:44] Speaker A: You need to find the hair. Boo Bears. [01:27:47] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a working man right there. Okay, now we get down to Anthony Hill, Texas. 50 tackles, two force fumbles. He's working a little bit. Yeah. Yeah, they should have a good defense. I. You know, 50 tackles, that's a lot, but it's not. 93. 93. Yeah. So Caleb Downs, safety, Ohio State, 37 tackles, four solo, one tackle for loss, one interception with for Reese, leads Ohio State with 29 tackles. Yeah, he. You can't plan for him. And, and the defense is such a great core. He's not going to stick out any farther than that because the rest of them are working. So. Next one on down the line. [01:28:49] Speaker A: Parker, he's 770th in tackling sh. [01:28:57] Speaker B: 24 tackles, seven solo, two sacks, one tackle for lost, one interception. Somebody's got to do something on that team. I mean, Gabo needs a. She needs to praise him. You know, all the other players are probably let him quarterback. Let's use him. And honorable mention, Bishop Fitzgerald, USC, five interceptions, 20 tackles. Yeah, he's busy. He's. He's definitely busy. He's pulling some jerseys. [01:29:33] Speaker A: He's doing something every four plays. He's involved with. He gets an interception. [01:29:38] Speaker B: Isn't that crazy? That's crazy, but it's still not 93. [01:29:44] Speaker A: 93. [01:29:46] Speaker B: 93. All right. [01:29:52] Speaker A: So I think it comes down to Love or Sawyer Robinson right now with the lead for the heism. [01:30:03] Speaker B: I don't think Sawyer Robinson will be there. I think it's going to come down to, you know, when it comes down, Armad Hardy from Missouri, Jeremy Love, Notre Dame. And let's see how the quarterbacks do. But, but I think right now it's coming down to the running backs. I do. But you can't count out the K.93 tackles. So we'll see how that goes. This ought to be a good, good week. Got some great games up there. We hope you guys enjoyed this. John, thank you very much as always. Kaylin, thank you very much. I. There's really not much more I could say. [01:30:49] Speaker A: You can say 25. [01:30:53] Speaker B: 25. We will see you guys next week at the same time right here on the TRIM Radio Network. Offsides college football's top 25 plus 5 with your host, John and Kalyn. And like I said, I'm. What do I know? I'm not. But you know what? I was close on most of the picks. Was I Perfect. [01:31:21] Speaker A: You will be on Saturday. [01:31:23] Speaker B: I, I, I think I'll be pretty close. I need a perfect week. [01:31:29] Speaker A: It's been a while. [01:31:30] Speaker B: Yeah, it's, it's been a while. I, I've, I've, I haven't done too bad. I'm, I'm, I'm not sorry. [01:31:39] Speaker A: Who's done really bad is Kent.
