Good day everyone and welcome to your short go daily dose of Ranch it Up. I'm Jeff Tigger Earhart.
[00:01:16] Speaker B: And I'm Rebecca Warner.
[00:01:17] Speaker A: AKA Speaking of spring, today is Arbor Day. So did you get little trees when you were in school?
[00:01:25] Speaker B: I did, I did. Although they were more like a twig with a couple of roots in a bag of a little bit of water.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: So did they ever survive?
[00:01:34] Speaker B: I hate to say this, I don't think any of the trees I brought home as a kid, I planted them. Don't get me wrong, I watered them. But I don't think they survived.
[00:01:42] Speaker A: That happened with us too. We got piles of trees when we were kids and I know we planted every single one. But where we're at our place, the soils was just not good. So our trees just didn't make it. Now there's no reason that a person shouldn't try again. Agree what I'm saying. So we have looked into planting different trees at our place and you've looked at getting like some Ponderosa pines. Excuse me, that are what, like 6, 8ft tall?
[00:02:14] Speaker B: Yes, I love Ponderosa pines.
[00:02:16] Speaker A: They're guaranteed, aren't they?
[00:02:18] Speaker B: Depending on who and where you buy them from? Yes, you can get them with like a two year guarantee or something like that.
[00:02:25] Speaker A: Oh, so it's not. So two years is like the max. Like if you do X, Y and Z, they'll say yes. The tree should last for two years.
[00:02:33] Speaker B: Yes. Which is the time frame for the roots to establish. But again, that's not. You know how everybody sells them. It's just. I know of some places that do that now.
[00:02:42] Speaker A: I like trees. You've been in other parts of the country where there's been way too many trees.
[00:02:46] Speaker B: I do not want leafed trees in my yard.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: So. Evergreens. But regardless, I think. I think we could all use a few more trees in our life. It's Arbor Day. Go plant a tree.
