Good day everyone and welcome to your short go daily dose of ranch it up. I'm Jeff Tigger Earhart.
[00:01:15] Speaker D: And I'm Rebecca Warner, AKA Back.
[00:01:18] Speaker A: We're talking about rodeo action that's going to be this weekend. A lot of fun. We're in Devil's Lake, North Dakota for the Devil's Lake Shootout Rodeo. The reason they call it a shootout by the way, is is the top four in each event, they come back on Sunday and compete for a winner take all pot.
[00:01:37] Speaker D: So my quick question, when you say the top four, just to clarify because they start Friday and Saturday. So is it the top four of each day or the top four over all of those two days?
[00:01:47] Speaker A: The top four over all of those two days. So they can win. Contestants can win money Friday, they can win money Saturday and then combined the top four in each event come back for the shootout round on Sunday, which is winner take all.
[00:02:02] Speaker D: Ooh. So those are some big checks.
[00:02:03] Speaker A: So there's big checks and couldn't have a rodeo if we didn't have a rodeo clown. We've got Jelly Bean. Adam Carlson is coming in again.
[00:02:11] Speaker D: Yes. Jelly Bean is awesome. He is out of Minnesota by the way, and we've had.
[00:02:16] Speaker A: He's a school teacher.
[00:02:17] Speaker D: I know. That's what I love.
[00:02:18] Speaker A: That's an interesting combination of he is a grade school teacher during the week. On the weekend he's a rodeo clown.
[00:02:27] Speaker D: So how cool do you think it would be if his class got to watch him in action. I wonder if he ever shares, like, any of the footage from the rodeo. That would be awesome, because I think that would be great to be in elementary school and then see my teacher as a clown out there right in.
[00:02:42] Speaker A: The barrel getting mauled.
[00:02:43] Speaker D: And jelly Bean, by the way, is hilarious. He's always coming up with these contraptions, like these cars that he'll drive out in the middle of the arena.
Yeah, it's like dynamite comes out of it.
[00:02:53] Speaker A: And so, obviously, we're very excited for this weekend. It's going to be a big one.
