A little trivia for you today on this date in history. The year was 1956. Okay. It was the first time that the wizard of Oz was televised. Oh, on tv. [00:01:40] Speaker A: On tv. It wasn't just the movie theaters because I know it came out theaters in the 30s, like I think 39 or something like that. 1939 is when it was in the theaters. 1956. [00:01:50] Speaker B: I'm talking the first time it was on TV and scared every one of us so bad with the flying monkeys. [00:01:55] Speaker A: That's the thing that was the scariest thing when I was growing up as. [00:01:58] Speaker B: A little kid, flying monkeys. It scares me to this day. [00:02:01] Speaker A: I remember being a little kid with my Care Bear sleeping bag and having to pull it over my head and going, no, turn the channel. I don't want to watch the flying monkeys. [00:02:11] Speaker B: And I think everybody got scared of the Wicked Witch of the west when she would come on tv. I mean, I'm kind of having flashbacks. I feel like I'm in counseling here sharing my feelings. But excuse me, I was always so scared of when the Wicked Witch of the west would come out and she had the green skin and I'll get you, my pretty. [00:02:30] Speaker A: Well, it's so funny you're bringing this up because what's been all the rage in modern times now, of course, remaking Wicked was. Last year was huge. And now the second, the sequel to that is about to come out. [00:02:42] Speaker B: There's a sequel to that one? [00:02:43] Speaker A: Yeah. Honey, where have you been? The commercials are all over tv. [00:02:47] Speaker B: There was even more of a storyline other than it was a tornado. Don't need to ruin it for everybody. [00:02:53] Speaker A: No. Now it's another version. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Apparently, I'm going to have to watch wizard of Oz Part 2.
