[00:00:25] Speaker A: Good evening, folks, and welcome to another episode of the Positude Podcast. I am your host, Maggie Hart, and I'm thrilled to be here with all of my little cannolis tonight on my comfy couch with my hot cup of coffee, spending time talking just like we would in our living room, about current events, politics, some comedy, some music, whatever suits my fancy. And I hope it does yours as well. We are still in the midst of up and down temperatures here. It's cold, it's colder, it's icy, it's freezing cold, the wind is blowing strong. And then we get a moderate day and then it all goes back to what seems like sub arctic temperatures. And while I lament the cold, I'm just as happy this time of year because it's quieter, people aren't moving about as much. There's not a lot of outside noise. It's more peaceful, it's more enjoyable. And just like when my friends come over to visit on a snowy cold day such as this, come on inside, stamp off the snow, take your boots off and relax here with me for an hour while we talk about to start off, what's Everybody doing for St. Patrick's Day? My first clip of the evening is going to be from Garren Music where he is expressing his displeasure at the fact that President Trump declared March national Irish American Month. [00:01:57] Speaker B: Donald Trump the is this. He has proclaimed March Irish American Heritage Month. I live in Ireland and we only get one fin day, St. Patrick's Day. Why do Irish Americans need an entire month? What are you gonna do? Sit around and think about the famine? That's not Irish at all. Taken over a whole month. Sounds like fin English behavior to me. And look, Irish Americans, I mean this in the best possible way, but you are already insufferable. I'm just joking. It's only about 85% of you. You shut up about your Irish heritage. I actually don't think you can come up with a way to be more violently of Irish descent for March. You're gonna spend the entire month telling everybody you see how your great great grandfather, who you never met, got on a boat because he was hungry. Anyway, I'll be looking forward to St. Patrick's Day, the only day where we get a bit of finitention. Follow me. [00:02:59] Speaker A: So is this Trump's way of paying back the liberals for all of the silly holidays that they created when they were in power? And he decided to name it Irish American Heritage Month in honor of the immigrants that came here legally and worked very hard, just like the Italians and all of the other immigrants that came through legally and made a living here and a culture here of their own, like to people that actually contributed to our society, like the other immigrants that came here legally and worked their butts off to develop their own businesses and build up the country. Quite possibly speaking of heritage and genealogy, for all of those people, and I have been saying this for years, who spent some bucks to get their genealogy reports from Ancestry.com and companies like that, I've been warning you and telling you not to do this. Don't give out your DNA. And guess what happened? Blackstone acquired Ancestry.com for something like $4.7 billion. They are tied to Big Pharma. They're very closely tied to the World Economic Forum. So now all of you people that chose to get your DNA tested rather than do it old school, like going through your family tree or more traditional method, have given this company that is distinctly nefarious in nature your DNA and they can do whatever they want with it. They have your genetic blueprint. Furthermore, if any of your family members have given out their DNA, that could be linked to your DNA. So it wasn't a smart move when these companies first started to become popular. I talked about it on my shows and just very strongly caution people against that. They could take that info and use it in a number of ways against you. They can develop diseases and pandemics and target certain groups. They can look at your genealogy to see if you fall in what they consider a bloodline that would be acceptable to survive. They can clone you. They can do all kinds of really bad stuff with your DNA. And think about this, they could even scientifically make offspring of yours. Scary, scary stuff. And the way that they promoted it and other sites like it were targeting the younger people, the Gen Zs and the millennials who fell for it hook, line and sinker. They made it seem cool to find out what your genealogy was. And you know what? There's no guarantee that the report that they sent you back that they gave you is accurate at all. And these people that have even had their dogs done, people are having their animals done. It's insane to me. I really, I pray for all of you all who went ahead and did that, because there's nothing good that can come of them having your information. It's the ultimate means of privacy violation. What could be more private to you than somebody having your DNA? I wish you well with that. And turning back to Trump, he's doing what he always does and he is stirring the pot and Making liberals absolutely crazy. And they are just like we saw with Elon last week, openly threatening him, now recruiting people to try or attempting to recruit people to try and kill him off. If this were a liberal president, the liberals would be losing their minds even more over this. They would be so off the hook about their beloved president being threatened. I sincerely hope that the new regime takes this very seriously and locks all of these people up, because that's where they deserve to be. I can't even fathom being in their position, but just the fact that they're posting videos online openly inciting this and like last week, saying they want to kill somebody on tape that anybody in the world could see for what, a couple of likes popular opinion, or are they really just that crazy? And these are just more examples of what we've been talking about regarding the toxicity that has affected and diseased our planet, especially with this whole Trump derangement syndrome thing that we have going on. It absolutely isn't doing anything beneficial for any of us to promote this kind of hate and this agenda of killing off people whose opinions we don't believe in. What's to stop that from spreading to you or I? What's to stop them from making a video about a person that they had an encounter with, let's say at a supermarket and taking a video of that person and maybe putting their name out there and inciting other people to do something horrible to that person. We are truly a ripple in a pond. I've been saying this on my shows for years. That's been one of my catchphrases, my main catchphrase. And this is what's happening here. It's snowballing and it needs to stop. They need to know the repercussions of their actions. Absolutely. But we need to come around to a more positive way of thinking. And in my clips tonight, some of my comedic things are a little bit sardonic and some of my sound clips are a little bit sarcastic in nature. It's all in good fun. I'm not threatening anybody or wishing anybody harm. What I'd like for us to see is to see things in a more lighter perspective, get our balance and also be able to laugh at these things. Because some of the situations that we have going on in our country and the people that are helping to run our country. We'll play those clips later. Are totally ludicrous. And they're just more examples of not only the lack of intelligence and morals in our country, but it's more evidence to me that the People that have taken the jab and have followed these brainwashing techniques with social media that's been mounting across the years of it's okay to speak your mind and be hateful and spew hatred, and it's really not a good thing. So here's an example of that. [00:10:07] Speaker B: I have a message for all of you. My fellow Americans, this is very important, so please consider it and discuss. I'm out here wearing a sign that says, once the military takes out Trump, we must honor them. No veteran left behind. Best benefits front and back. That's what my sign says. And I really implore you all, please, if you have friends and family in the military, we must plead with them to do what must be done. They do not serve a king. They must remember their oath. And we will build statues in their names. We will name our children after them, and we will help them like we've never helped veterans before. Who's with me? Deported. [00:11:18] Speaker A: So, obviously this isn't as outright threatening and mean as the girl last week about Elon, but there's a lot to unpack here because he's not making a lot of sense intellectually. I would think this guy has some kind of mental problems going on or he's just a millennial generation Z and just he's not thinking, but. The oath of enlistment for the army is I so and so do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That I will bear true faith and allegiance to do the same. And that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me according to regulations and the Uniform Code military justice, so help me God. The soldiers creed for the Army. I'm an American soldier. I'm a warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the army values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade. I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself. I am an expert and I am a professional. I stand ready to deploy, engage and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat. I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life. I am an American soldier. So recognizing and holding up the Constitution, obeying the orders of the President. You know, all of that totally discounts his entire statement aside which the previous administration and what they've done to our armed forces in general with the pussifying of the armed forces in general with all of this LBGTQ stuff and the pink tanks and all of that totally goes against their oath of enlistment as well as their creed. And we had two sides of the military that were warring against each other. We had the good side that wanted to respect and uphold the Constitution and the rights of the American people, and the other side who wanted to be with Biden's team and Kamala's team and totally discredit the Constitution and take away our personal rights. So obviously, the guy's somewhat misguided in what he feels the servicemen job is. And aside from that, I have to really appreciate the way that he tries to implore the veterans to kill Trump, and they will forever be honored and have statues and they'll get benefits. Really? What benefits do the veterans get? Under the previous Democratic administrations, Trump's the only guy that's done anything positive for our veterans in several administrations. So. Oh, you're going to bribe them to kill the president, and you personally are going to make sure that they get benefits and they're going to be honored. What about honoring all of the soldiers before you that fought for years for your personal freedoms and your personal rights and defending our country? But the bottom line here is he's threatening the president. And like I said, if that were Obama or Biden or Kamala, look at how things have, you know, snowballed up until now when they just outright attack the current administration publicly over statements that they've made and corruption that they're uncovering. Can you imagine what would happen if somebody said this about one of those guys? But anyway, moving on, the liberals are also hard at work armchair quarterbacking their personal opinions about the LGBTQ movement and going so far as to say, if we're not trans, we are embarrassing. I'm gonna share this clip and then after that clip about a transgender parent and child situation. [00:15:43] Speaker B: If you're not transgender, you're, like, embarrassing. I'm sorry, what? Your doctor told you what your gender was and you listen? Oh, poor baby. I suppose this person is going to tell us who we should be listening to, as opposed to medical professionals. My doctor told me I was a man, and then I spent 19 years as a theater kid Twink. A football center, and then I became a woman. Well, that'll be someone's little secret. My life is so much cooler than yours. I got to choose femininity. And how's that going so far? I got to choose to Transition. It was amazing. I took what I had, what was given to me, and I changed it to fit what I wanted my life to look like. So a Build a Bear project. There is so much amazing, beautiful freedom and being transgender. And we as a society treat being transgender as a curse. No, now, let's be correct. It's not called a curse. It's called gender dysphoria. But the truth of it is, it's not a curse at all. It's arguably the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Well, that's just wonderful. I'm very pleased that someone's life is working out the way that they wanted it to. However, that does not mean that it's okay to tell others that don't live the same lifestyle that they're wrong. Just imagine where we've heard that before, do all these amazing things, partly because I'm transgender, because my doctor said, you're a man, and I said, Wait 17 years. I think that the high heels that I'm wearing at age 6 is telling you something. Indeed. But I think that this initial statement, if you're not transgender, you're, like, embarrassing how some individuals view others that are different from them. And that's unfortunate. A mother and daughter from Brazil have revealed their double gender transition to become father and son. Raphael, 38, and Gustavo, 10, both transitioned to male after being born with female biological characteristics. Gustavo began his transition at age 4, inspiring Raphael to follow suit. Raphael came out as male in 2023 and has since shared their journey with nearly 25,000 Instagram followers. The father and son have previously spoken out against people using the names they went by when they identified as women. Even though it is our right to have the social name respected, in practice, respect rarely happens. In fact, they said Gustavo, a student and actor, has played both transgender and cisgender characters in films. He also receives care at the Transdisciplinary Outpatient Clinic for Gender Identity in Sao Paulo. I don't think so, homie. Don't play that. As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female. [00:18:23] Speaker A: So the first clip was from the lady J. She does a good job of commenting common sense in her narrations. You can give her a follow. She's fun to listen to. The second clip, though, deeply troubles me. The child came out at 4 years old. We've had this discussion before. Need I say more? In this next clip, this woman is bashing her family, who voted for Trump and against her children. The Assumption here is that they are part of the rainbow movement. But here again is another example of the toxicity and the hatred that's being directed at people who have a different opinion than they do, who voted differently than they did. Mind you, these are people inside of her own family she's talking about. It's pretty troubling. [00:19:08] Speaker B: Whatever was more important than my son, your granddaughters, your. Whatever it was, I hope you get it. If it was cheaper gas prices, cheaper eggs, more guns, Greenland. Now, for some reason, I hope you get that. All of it. Or else it was all for nothing, right? That's not true. That's not even true. I hope you suffer. Honestly, I do. And before you tell me how cruel that is, hoping doesn't do anything, I hope for lots of things that don't happen. You know what? You know what gets things done is voting. And you. You betrayed them, all of them, so many people. And whatever it is you betrayed them for, I don't know, I hope it's. I hope it's worth it. I hope it's good to you. And it probably will be. It probably will be, because that's what you wanted and you knew. But I'll never forgive you for it, ever. That's all, folks. [00:20:29] Speaker A: So in the political arena, the disrespect and also the lack of intelligence continues to follow through and amp up. Jasmine Crockett is a U.S. representative from Texas's 30th congressional district since January 2023. Cost She's a Democrat, and she came out and spoke blatantly about Elon Musk. There was a clip that I didn't play last week just because when someone asked her what she thought of Elon Musk, she said, f him. It was a short clip and I didn't think it was worth playing, but she's got this vibe going where she's trying to be this all gangster girl and try to identify with her constituents by playing a badass. But what people might not know about her is she went to a private school, a private day school that cost $35,000 a year, and Rhodes College that cost $55,000 a year. So obviously, her little TikTok videos of her dancing, saying, they're not like us, and all of this, it's just an act. She's trying to play some gangster, tough girl, ghetto girl, and she's not very convincing. But here she is talking about Trump's political stance and just being generally disrespectful. And then after that, we have this absolutely insane representative. You may have seen her on camera with the purple hair. She's like 82 years old. Rosa Luisa DeLauro. She's in her 18th term as U.S. representative for Connecticut's 3rd congressional district, who is doing a video using kids terms, trying to appeal to the younger listeners and making an utter and complete ass out of herself in the process. These are two fine examples of the lack of professionalism in our public offices. It's degrading, it's disgusting. And they're getting paid an awful lot of money and stealing a lot of money in a lot of cases. They're becoming millionaires in these seats and they're acting like children from TikTok. These are the same people that are bashing our president and also Elon Musk. Jasmine Crockett directly attacked Elon Musk Ted F. Him for exposing this waste in spending because their profits are getting cut off at the knees. Do you ever feel like you're in the twilight zone yet? Because I sure do. [00:23:13] Speaker B: This is not what we should be doing. I don't even know why we fighting with Greenland. Why we fighting with Greenland. We fighting with Canada, we fighting with Mexico, yet we in love with Putin. What is happening? Like, this is not America. This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the up cuz I'm ready. And here I truly thought it could not get any more cringe. Yo. [00:23:43] Speaker A: This is the ranking rizzler on appropriations serving Connecticut's third district. It's time to enter your dark academia Congress era. [00:23:52] Speaker B: All right, besties. [00:23:54] Speaker A: House appropriation is the money move in Congress. We are not chasing the bag. [00:23:58] Speaker B: We are the bag. Democrats are making life smoother through government funding. It's giving. It's giving. So sigma main character energy. But Republicans Project 2025 is mad sus eliminating the Department of Education negative borrow points. [00:24:19] Speaker A: Basically the biggest fandom tax on the environment, on your education and your rights. Big L hosting it online, buddy. [00:24:28] Speaker B: Democrats understood the assignment, but no off. [00:24:32] Speaker A: See how I keep you informed. Very cutesy, very demure. [00:24:36] Speaker B: How do you do, fellow youths? [00:24:40] Speaker A: We've come to this planet looking for intelligent life. Oops, we made a mistake. Okay, it's Elon time. I have a couple of clips for you regarding Elon. The first one is another example of public toxicity. This was from Dr. John Lawrence. If you've been listening to my show, please go back and listen to the archives because I'll be referring back to previous shows as we go forward. He is the guy that developed the technology, the formula with the methylene blue that cured Chase Hughes that we talked about several weeks ago, and he was out tooling around in his golf cart with a buddy and came across some people protesting Elon. And this is their interaction showing. Not again. How much people are truly uninformed. They're picketing and they have no idea what they're talking about. But also an example of the toxicity that's being shown between private citizens. And then another short clip. And then after that, there is a woman who's actually defending Doge's questionnaire that was sent out to all federal workers. As a federal worker, she has nothing to hide. She's doing her job, so she's letting people know that it's not that big a deal. Just do it. So there's transparency there. If you're honest and you're doing your job, there shouldn't be any reason to take offense to his questionnaire. Just do it. [00:26:12] Speaker B: Keep me warm in your love. Then you're soft. [00:26:21] Speaker A: How deep is your Doge. No doubt. [00:26:24] Speaker B: How deep is your. Dousk Is a Nazi. I think he's from South Africa. How is he a Nazi? What? Hold your sign up. He was saying hi to people. Oh, you think he does that all day? Okay. Has he killed people? Probably. He hasn't gotten there yet? No, he's still working on it. You don't want him to save money from the government. You don't want him to make savings for the government. You know how much save. You know how much you save? 4 cents on the dollars. Really? Yeah, really. So all those millions of dollars and stuff, all that stuff being spent on things with no Audi in the government. And that one contractor, he thinks he just canceled it. It was canceled in 2020. CNN. CNN's amazing. That's like the best news network. MSNBC. Yeah, those are the best. Those are great. This cabinet is so worse than the last cabinet where you had. We had guys dressing up like women and stealing luggage at the airport. There's just. Yeah, I missed the last minute shorts. Enjoy each other. Okay. Okay, we will. Yeah, we don't like that they got to kill the patriarchy. Most of most. Most of the publicity has been on the spending cuts. And. And. And look, I'm all for them. I think Elon Musk is. Is a rock star. The tofu crowd is mad. But, you know, when you trim fat, pigs squeal. That's just the way the world works. That's a mogul. Nature. Okay, so I am a federal employee that got an email this Saturday basically stating that I needed to highlight five accomplishments that I had last week and to me that was not a huge deal. I am someone who likes to highlight my accomplishments and I was sent over in about a email that took me six, six minutes, something like that. I used to work for the private sector for about 13 years, so, so I was held accountable every day. I had lists of things that needed to be done every day and it was just not a big deal to me to send that out. So I just want to say that I would say highlight the things that you do highlight, you know, who you are as a federal employee and the things that you're accomplishing. Like just say it. I would encourage you to do that. Then you saw a failing and it's me. [00:29:06] Speaker A: You need to shout. How deep is your dose? [00:29:11] Speaker B: Your dose. How deep is your dose? [00:29:18] Speaker A: I had a lot of fun with that clip. I'm not a singer. Cat's heads typically explode when I sing. But I wanted to come up with some things that were different because like I was using the Ice Ice baby. I thought I was the only one and everybody else was using it, so. So I like to be different. I should have put a disclaimer in there. If you have cats in your home before listening to my show, please put helmets on their heads or stuff their ears with earplugs. Just like we talked about last week. J.D. vance and Trump are absolutely bringing masculinity back to the White House. Here's a clip from him and then a short clip regarding chivalry. By the way, my archives are all over the place now. They're on YouTube. They're on rumble. Podbean and Mixlure are supposed to have them. Depends on whether the owner of that network uploads them. On the weekly I am every single Wednesday night at 9:00 Eastern Standard on the Vera Radio Network and Tuesday nights at 10 on the ERT Radio Network and Fridays at 8 on the TRIM Radio Network. And get onto if you're on Facebook. I don't use it anymore, but I do have a Positude Positive podcast page that my wonderful associate Victoria has taken over and she's going to be posting things to that page and get it up and active as well for all of your spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs. Please contact me at maggie m a g g I e heartlook.com but check out my archives. Most of the show's main pages are supposed to have my archives on there. But yeah, catch them on Rumble YouTube. I'm on like so many platforms I can't remember them all. Just Search the Positude podcast, they'll come up for ya. Also, if you want a fix on the nights that I'm not scheduled to air, I am on the Vera Radio Network every single night at 9. Wednesdays are my new shows and then every other night at 9 are archived shows. I apologize. Last week there was a problem I guess with the server so my new show did not air. But you can catch it on the rumble platform or YouTube. Thank you to everybody who listens to me and also to everyone that supports me by playing my shows not only on the network but on the platforms as well. Also, please support the networks. We are totally listener funded and depend on your donations to keep us up and running. So here we go. A clip from JD Vance is Don't. [00:32:02] Speaker B: Allow this broken culture to send you a message that you're a bad person because you're a man, because you like to tell a joke, because you like to have a beer with your friends, or because you're competitive. The cultural message, and I think the President's in mine, is the exact opposite. But our cultural message is, I think that it won't wants to turn everybody into, whether male or female, into androgynous idiots who think the same, talk the same, and act the same. We actually think God made male and female for a purpose and we want you guys to thrive as young men and as young women and we're going to help with our public policy to make it possible to do that. Why is chivalry dead? Because modern feminism put it in its grave. Next question. [00:32:49] Speaker A: And that last clip also from Lady J. I'm going to play one more from her because it shows perfectly an example of how some women in today's society feel entitled, as though men should support them and buy them things. And if they don't, it's like they don't feel as though the men are worth their time and efforts and they feel as though they're automatically deserving of these things from men, which is totally not the way our generation was raised. We all worked, we supported ourselves and we were grateful for what we got. And I was raised that relationships are supposed to be 50 50. Sometimes you carry a little bit more of the weight than others, but it's certainly not a one way street. And men or women are not your sugar daddies or sugar mamas or shouldn't be. You should be contributing to the relationship and not expecting to have material things thrown at you. This is just another example of where our society has gone wrong with the younger generation. Let's Listen to this. [00:34:06] Speaker B: And what does me having seven kids have to do? Anything? Um. Oh, dear. I didn't ask nobody to take care of my kids. I asked for y'all to, when y'all come in my dm, to be ready to provide a little something for me. Satire, right? This has gotta be satire. I said was I needed my nails done and I need a new oil change. I can't do that. Please tell me this is satire. Because if it's not, oh, my goodness, are they in for a rude awakening. Men are supposed to be providers, right? And women are supposed to be the nurturers. Why y'all don't want to provide? Now, I'm just guessing here, but it might have something to do with someone's rather proven poor track record at good decision making skills, which would make any man, I think, hesitant to commit to any kind of providing. My seven kids are good, though. Let's go ahead and get that straight. My seven kids are good. Well, that's very good news. And I'm very happy to hear that. I get like 2100 in food stamps and my kids get Medicaid insurance. Fantastic. And four of them have daddies, so let's not 4K. And I'm going with my original thought here. I really hope that this is a joke. I said me. That's it. That's all. Even if this is satire, the sad part is there's still a lot of women out there with this type of mentality that still view themselves as the prize to be won, even after it's been given to a lot of guys. Or do they teach you to talk like this? And some Panama City sailor want a hump Hump bar? Or is this getaway day and your last shot of this whiskey? Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here, okay? [00:35:43] Speaker A: And President's Day was a few weeks ago, but this next clip is hysterical. This is a woman asking Trump not. Not to get rid of the IRS until she gets her taxes back. [00:35:56] Speaker B: Today is President's Day. Today is President Day. Hey, Trump, how you doing? I see you finna file the people from irs. Baby, hold up. I ain't got my taxes yet. Wait, wait until about mid March. Yeah. In between. Now, baby, don't fire them just yet. Just hold, okay? Hold on. Wait, wait. They don't love you like I love you. Don't fire him just yet, okay? I know the day. Your day. I know it. I know you want to fire the irs. I know you want to fire Knickknack Paddy Whack. Give a dog and a bone. But just wait until my taxes come first. We can be through with it. You know what I'm saying? You know what, Trump? You Q, you know, to be honest, you Q, you know what I'm saying? You, you dress well, you know, you know, you look good, baby. Don't, don't fight on folks just yet. Wait till I get my taxes first. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. I'm already going through a lot, as you can see, okay? So just. Yep. [00:37:10] Speaker A: You know what? [00:37:13] Speaker B: Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. I need my taxes, though. I need, I need me, me. But I feel. [00:37:40] Speaker A: Okay. Tonight's Question of the week. If you could have a dinner party with any three people, living or deceased, who would you invite and why? Next, I'm going to play a clip from Caroline Levitt also talking about the liberals inciting violence. And then a clip from Trump where he pokes a little fun at Pocahontas. The Republicans just give off a totally different vibe. They show a lot more class in the case of Caroline Levitt and the ridiculousness of the accusations that you'll see contained in the video from the reporter. And just that Trump's got a really good sense of humor. He gets his point across without being totally toxic and exudes masculinity by not taking any crap. [00:38:35] Speaker B: Are any officials here preparing to fight Democratic lawmakers in the streets? [00:38:40] Speaker A: Absolutely not. [00:38:42] Speaker B: So some of these. Thanks for the question. Some elected Democrats are so steamed about doge. Congresswoman Lamonica McIver says we are at war. Ilhan Omar says we might actually see somebody get killed. And Chris Van Hollen says we have to fight this in the Congress. We have to fight this in the streets. So what now? And may I just point out, if you heard that type of violent, enticing rhetoric from our side of the aisle, from Republican leaders on Capitol Hill, I think there would be a lot more outraged in this room today. It's unacceptable, the comments that have been made by these Democrat leaders. And frankly, they don't even know what they're talking about because President Trump was elected with a mandate from the American people to make this government more efficient. He campaigned across this country with Elon Musk, vowing that Elon was going to head up the Department of Government Efficiency. And the two of them, with a great team around them, were going to look at the receipts of this federal government and ensure its accountable to American taxpayers. That's all that is happening here. And for Democrat officials to incite violence and encourage Americans to take to the streets is incredibly alarming and they should be held accountable for that rhetoric. It sounds like something that they are most concerned about is Doge engineers with access to treasury systems. Can you clarify? Do the Doge engineers have read only access in these systems? So they are not allowed to write new code? They're not with no end in sight. The United States has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to support Ukraine's defense. With no security, with no energy. Do you want to keep it going for another five years? Yeah. Yeah. You would say Pocahontas says yes. [00:40:28] Speaker A: I want to play. I want to play. So since we've been playing clips all night about how silly people can be and how intellectualism on some platforms and in certain arenas seems to have been thrown out the window, here's a clip about a public official trying to keep ice fishing out of a lake because he thinks it will lead to prostitution. [00:40:52] Speaker B: Additionally, if you open this up to ice fishing. Yeah. Well, on the surface it sounds good. [00:40:58] Speaker A: Sure. [00:40:59] Speaker B: Do you know what happens next year? Does someone come back and say I want an ice shanty? No. Yeah. On Hudson Springs park for X amount of time. Yeah. And if you then allow ice fishing with shanties, catch more fish, then that leads to another problem. Walleye depletion. Prostitution. Huh. You got the police chief, the police department involved. God. What kind of bait are you using? Just data points to consider. I see what it is. Nobody has ever just sat down and honestly talked with that man. Poor kid. [00:41:39] Speaker A: And finally, it's Gen X time. Here's a clip from Gen X. Jono. [00:41:43] Speaker B: If like many you're sitting there wondering when the world at large seemingly went to hell in a handbasket, Gen X can tell you it's the moment when a bunch of hopefully well intentioned senior executives at these cereal companies decided free toys and cereal was a bad idea. Because apparently kids born around the year 2000 could no longer distinguish tell the difference between a creepy wall crawler and a cornflake, a baking soda powered submarine and a sugar smack the minute they had us kids stop putting a grimy, disgusting germ filled hands through the entire box of cereal, that's the moment it all went wrong. Oh, and if you're one of those that came up from the bottom, that, that, that, that's cheating. I, I don't think I can even know you beyond that. There was just something really special about beating your siblings to the toy, watching them dig in futility searching for a toy that's already in your pocket. [00:42:42] Speaker A: I loved those little submarines. The next clip is Gen Xers trying to understand Gen Z's. This is classic. [00:42:52] Speaker B: I'll see what's going on. Mr. Marquez, I'm sorry to interrupt class, but it's actually super triggering for me to be reading a book about a disease right now with everything I'm going through. Because of everything you're going through. What are you going through, Kayla? The rest of the class sort of already knows about this, but recently I was successfully diagnosed with something called. You're doing great, Kayla. It's okay. Be present with your illness. Okay. Asymptomatic Tourette's. What? So what Tourette syndrome is. No, I know what Tourette's syndrome is. Oh, great. [00:43:26] Speaker A: Okay, so it sounds like you're halfway there and you're taking an opportunity to. [00:43:29] Speaker B: Be educated, which is honorable. Thank you. So asymptomatic Tourette's. [00:43:34] Speaker A: Right. [00:43:34] Speaker B: It's like Tourette's syndrome with the ticks. [00:43:36] Speaker A: And like the hardship. [00:43:38] Speaker B: Right. [00:43:38] Speaker A: But without any symptoms. [00:43:41] Speaker B: So in its way, at is harder because. What is at? Oh, asymptomatic Tourette's. Okay. Huh. It is harder because people have like, actually no idea the battle that people like Kayla are fighting inside every day. It's a silent killer. And someone actually diagnosed you? It's disrespectful to ask that. [00:44:01] Speaker A: I'm so sorry. [00:44:02] Speaker B: It's okay. You can't blame people for making really huge mistakes when they haven't learned the etiquette. [00:44:08] Speaker A: It's only self diagnosable. [00:44:10] Speaker B: I see. [00:44:12] Speaker A: Obviously that last clip was a parody. But if I were to create my own imaginary disease to appeal to the soft side of the gen zers so that they understand understood my vocalized frustration at them and their behaviors, I'd like to have Tourette's on demand when I meet somebody that I'm not happy with and use self diagnosis as an excuse. Do you think that would fly? Me neither. So since we're on the subject of diseases, I figured this would be a good time to jump into the health section for tonight. And I've been researching ways to help to improve our bodies and heal our bodies holistically for little to no money since everything is so expensive nowadays. And I came across a book that I've had for a while called visual fitness. Seven minutes to better eyesight and beyond by Dr. David Cook. Do you get headaches after working at the computer? Do you have trouble driving at night? Do you find it hard to fall asleep There's a surprising solution to these problems in this book is what the COVID advertises. Now, unfortunately, I can't share the information that's contained in this book with you because a lot of it is questionnaires and based on your answers, it's tailored to fit your specific needs for the type of eye trouble that you're having. So for instance, night driving. But it's really cool because there are lots of different exercises, visual exercises that you can do to improve your eyesight. So this book is by Dr. David Cook. I recommend you pick up a copy and I'm going to start using it. When I'm out shopping, I pick up books and I literally have like eight bookshelves so I don't always get to the things that I pick up right away. Sometimes it takes me a while and I've got them pretty well categorized so that depending on what I'm looking for, I can go right to my shelf and grab what I need because I've been guided repeatedly more times than I can count over the past years to pick up written copies of reference materials and learning materials and healing materials. So that were the grid to go down, I would have a physical copy to refer to to be able to help myself, my family and others. And this is something that I've recommended to my listeners over the years that they do the same things for themselves. So I wanted to share some tips over the airwaves with you that will get you started on your journey to healing your own eyes or at least maintaining your eye health or improving your eye health. So many of us nowadays spend a lot of time on the computers or looking at their phones that I'll start with some exercises to help reduce eye strain. The first one is to practice blinking slowly and rapidly. Blinking gives your eyes a brief rest and moisturizes them so they don't dry out. Take two minutes and blink once every 30 seconds, making sure your eyes are completely closed before opening them again. After slowly blinking, spend another two minutes where you blink every four seconds. Repeat this process several times throughout the day to train your eyes to blink more. This is especially helpful if you focus on a computer or TV screen all day since your eyes get strained more easily. Be sure your eyes close completely when you blink or else they may still get strained. When your eyes do feel strained, you can hold your palms on your eyes for five seconds to relax them. Palming is a technique used to help relax your eyes when they feel strained. Rub your palms together for five to 10 seconds so they're warm, and then gently place them over your eyes while they're closed. Take deep breaths while you cover your eyes for one minute. Try palming two to three times per day to help alleviate your eyes. Don't apply pressure to your eyes as you could damage them. Since your eyes are particularly vulnerable to germs and infections, keep your hands and your lenses clean. Even things that just irritate your eyes can affect your vision. For those reasons, you should always wash your hands before touching your eyes or handling contact lenses. It's also super important to wash your hands and disinfect your contact lenses as instructed. You should also replace your contact lenses as advised by the manufacturer or your doctor. Germs in your contact lenses can lead to bacterial infections in your eyes. That one of course, doesn't apply to people who wear glasses, but even with your glasses, you should keep your lenses clean and free of any debris so that it doesn't cause undue eye strain. To practice focus, you can move your thumb closer and farther away from you by putting your arm straight out in front of you and stick your thumb up. Pull your arm closer to your face, maintaining focus on it so that it doesn't go blurry. Stop when your thumb is about 3 inches from your face or until you can see double. Slowly stretch out your arm again until your thumb thumb is back in the original position. Repeat the process for at least 10 minutes to help you develop better focus. There's a tip mentioned that says choose a point on your thumb to focus on to make it easier. For example, you may focus on your fingernail or a freckle that you have. You can shift focus from your thumb to something far away to improve your vision. Hold your arm straight out in front of you and stick your thumb up. Focus on your thumb for about five seconds before changing your focus to something that's about 15 to 20ft away to relax. Continue changing focus every five seconds for two minutes. To improve your nearsight, practice outside or in front of a window so that you can easily look out and choose something to focus on that's far away. Keep your thumb out in front of you when you're focusing on the faraway object so it's easier to refocus on. When you aren't focusing on your thumb, it will look blurry in front of the faraway object. You can strengthen your eye muscles by tracing a figure 8 pattern with your eyes. Pretend that there's a horizontal figure 8 shape about 6 to 10ft in front of you while keeping your head still Follow along the figure 8 pattern using only your eyes. Continue tracing the pattern in one direction for about two minutes before changing, following along in the opposite direction. Repeat the exercise two to three times daily to improve your eyes flexibility. If you can't easily make a figure 8 pattern, try rolling your eyes instead. Keep your eyes open and move them around clockwise. After 1 to 2 minutes, switch to rolling your eyes counterclockwise for 2 minutes. The Braque string is something Swiss optometrist Frederick Braque developed to improve eye coordination. You'll need a string about five feet long with three different colored beads. Secure one end of the string to a stationary point, such as a handrail or the back of a chair. Space the beads out at equal distances. Hold the other end of the string tightly to your nose. You should see a consistent pattern as you shift your focus from bead to bead. The bead you are looking at will appear by itself at the intersection of two identical strings with doubles of the other beads forming an X. Your eyes are not properly focused on the bead. If you see the strings crossing in front of the bead or in back of the bead, be sure you can get the X at all beads except the one at the far end, which will just have the two strings coming out towards you in a V. Reposition the beads along the string and continue the exercise. Pencil push ups are simple ocular workouts that get both eyes aimed on the same fixed point. They are also known as near point of convergence exercises. Start by holding a pencil out at arm's length, pointing away from you. Focus your gaze on the eraser or a letter or numeral on the side. Simply move the pencil toward the bridge of your nose. Keep it in focus for as long as you can, but stop once your vision gets blurry. If you work at a computer for long stretches of time, you should follow what's called the 202020 rule, and what that means is that every 20 minutes you should stop looking at your computer and look at something 20ft away for 20 seconds. For some of us, this next one is really hard, especially me. But get a good night's sleep to give your eyes a rest. If you don't get enough rest during the night, your eyes will feel sore or dry throughout the day. Aim to get at least six to eight hours of good rest each night to let your eyes relax and give them time to recover. Avoid using any screens for at least 30 to 60 minutes before going to bed since they make it harder to get a healthy amount of sleep. We know this because of the dangers of blue lights on your computers and phones and also the dopamine hits from social media sites can amp up your body and get you revved up and make it more difficult to sleep. So if you can't do that, I would suggest you at least try and do some meditation exercises before you go to sleep. Some deep breathing, the quiet 10 minute thing that I've taught for years, which is you just take 10 minutes before you go to bed. While you're in bed, kind of sitting up, and breathe deeply and slowly relax your entire body and particularly relax your face and your eye muscles and clear your mind of all stress as you breathe. Some phones and computers now have a setting where you can change the blue light and go to like an orange screen or you can get yourself a pair of the protective lenses. I've actually bought myself a pair. They're super cute pink and I love wearing them. They're comfortable and they absolutely help to reduce the eye strain. And they fit over my glasses too, which makes it really convenient for me. But they block out that blue light and they were relatively inexpensive. You can pick them up on Amazon or any of those other shopping sites. It is really important to get your eyes checked annually too. That way, if there's something going on, even physiologically with your body, they can catch it early enough. And if your prescriptions changed, you want to have the proper prescription so that you don't further attribute to the degradation of your eyes. And of course, your diet's really important too, to maintain eye health. You should eat dark, leafy greens to get vitamin A Fresh leafy greens are rich in vitamin A as well as lutein and an antioxidant that helps promote eye health. Include foods like kale, spinach, broccoli and collard greens in your diet at least three to four times per week to improve your eye health. Enjoy the greens fresh or cook them to include with your favorite dishes. Vitamin A can also help reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration. Enjoy citrus fruits and other sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C can help decrease your chances of developing cataracts and also improve the circulation in your eyes. Snack on fruits and vegetables like oranges, grapefruit, tomatoes or apples to include it in your diet. Aim to get about 75 to 90 milligrams of vitamin C per day to have a healthy dose. If you have trouble eating enough food to get your daily dose of vitamin C, consider taking a supplement instead. Many vitamin C supplements are sold at local drugstores. Please make sure that it's good sourced and organic. Don't be very careful because a lot of the vitamins today have a lot of crap in them and you want to make sure that you have something that's pure and organic, clean sourced that you're putting into your body. Have foods that are high in fatty acids and vitamin D to help dry eyes, which is something that I struggle with. Omega 3 fatty acids as well as vitamin D help fight against macular degeneration, which could lead to vision loss later in life. Enjoy servings of food like salmon, fish, walnuts, flax and chia seeds about three to four times per week to keep a balanced diet. You can also find omega 3 fatty acid supplements at your local drugstore. Look for foods high in antioxidants to help reduce the risk of cataracts. Foods like berries, chocolate, green tea, apples and red wine all have antioxidants that can prevent macular degeneration and cataracts. Try to include foods with antioxidants in your diet at least two to three times per week to stay healthy. There you go wine lovers. You've got an excuse to drink. Take Lutein supplements to help improve your eye health. Lutein is an antioxidant produced by many fruits and vegetables that can help protect your eyes and reduce any degeneration. Check your local drugstore for a daily lutein supplement to include in your diet every day. Take the supplement with a glass of water either in the morning or evening and it's telling you to check with your doctor of course, before you try anything new. Another really important thing is making sure you drink enough water to lubricate your body and your eyes. My source is for these exercises and information were just Wikihow and Healthline but you get the idea.
