[00:00:31] All right. Good evening, everyone. And how are you?
[00:00:36] Welcome to life. Walk with Christ, God. I am Michael Behas. I always tell you this at the very beginning. I'm not a deacon. I'm not clergy. I am not a priest. I'm not a reverend, I'm not a pastor. I am not a rabbi. I am nobody. I'm just a guy that loves the Bible. The Bible has opened up to so much interpretation. I love reading it. It is truly the greatest love story of all time. And it's a true love story. So we are in King James, Exodus 9, chapter 9, page 78. And we're already seeing how everything is playing out now. And Moses has now delivered all these plagues that are going on. We're on the fifth plague. So we've had the water turn to blood, we've had flies, we've had lice, and we're moving right on. And I mean, it's been absolutely.
[00:01:38] You. You would think at some point that Pharaoh would understand, you know, after the frogs, after the lice, after the flies, after the blood, wow, you know, I'm going to catch a clue. But God has hardened his heart. And why is God doing this?
[00:01:57] Why is God keep pardoning his heart over and over and over again?
[00:02:03] You know, because really, God could take Pharaoh out in a second and make everything happen the way he wants. But it's a elaborate, precise, and deliberate plan. Not only is it showing the Egyptians, it's showing the Israelites and, you know, the other slaves and everybody else, God's true power.
[00:02:31] And back in those times, there were other gods. We had the Nephilim that we're dealing with. These are giants and everything else that were going on.
[00:02:41] It is important for them to understand this is the way it's got to be done and where it all starts. And we know from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, going all the way down the line, we're seeing the lineage, we're seeing everything that is happening. We already see references of, to the New Testament. So we already know and we're going to find out later on again in the New Testament that Christ has always been. He was there at the beginning. So let's, let's move on. Let's get to it. The fifth plague disease on the beasts.
[00:03:26] So we're gonna get right on into it. Then the Lord said unto Moses, go into Pharaoh and tell him. Thus saith the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go that they may serve me. For if thou refuse to let them go, and will hold them still. Behold the Hand of the Lord is upon thy cattle, which is in the field, upon thy horses, upon thy asses, upon thy camels, upon the oxen, upon the sheep. There shall be a very grievous moraine.
[00:03:59] So a sickness, and it's going to be bad. And the Lord shall suffer between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt. And there should be nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
[00:04:16] So he's not only demonstrating his power, he is showing I can choose to put it here and not here. And they're awakening to this. This is my chosen people. I have chosen them. They will serve me. They will come in honor and praise me.
[00:04:37] And the Lord the Lord appointed a set time, saying, tomorrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land. And the Lord did the thing on the morrow. And the cattle of Egypt died, but the cattle of the children of Israel died not one. And Pharaoh sent. And behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened and he did not let the people go.
[00:05:06] So God is.
[00:05:08] And he's making this. And. And Moses and Aaron are there, and he's making this happen. He's sending them in and he's telling them, you're going to let my people go. This is leading up to this great ending here.
[00:05:24] And the Lord said unto Moses the sixth. Here we go. The sixth plague boils on man and beast.
[00:05:30] And unto Aaron. Take your handfuls of ashes of the furnace and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. And it should become small dust in the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with the. With banes upon man and upon beast throughout all the land of Egypt. Blisters.
[00:05:55] And they took ashes of the furnace and stood before Pharaoh. And Moses sprinkled it up toward the heaven and it became a boil, breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast. And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the. The boil was upon the magicians and upon the Egyptians. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh and, and he hearkened not unto them as the Lord had spoken unto Moses. So now every time that Pharaoh comes out with his magicians, he did this from the very beginning with. With the staffs of the magicians, throwing it on the ground.
[00:06:35] And all of a sudden you saw Aaron's and Moses's staff eat up the snakes of the other staffs. And since then they. They have nothing. They have no answer. They have nothing. And it's to show that your sorcery, your other gods, things that you worship to are nothing.
[00:06:57] They don't compare to Christ God, they just don't compare. They never will. Because there is only one God. That's it.
[00:07:11] So here we go. The seventh plague.
[00:07:14] And this one is hail. And the Lord said unto Moses, rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say unto him, thus saith the Lord, the God of Hebrews. Let my people go that they may serve me. For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thy heart and upon thy servants and upon thy people, that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all, all the earth. There's nothing like him in anything. I. I mean the entire universe. For now I will stretch out my hand that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence. And thou shalt be cut off from the earth. And in very deed for this, this cause I've have I raised thee up for to show in the my power and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. And there it is.
[00:08:12] I am going to prove to you, through all these different things, from all these plagues, from all these things that are happening to you, there is only one God. It's me. And you will obey me.
[00:08:25] You don't worship me and you haven't honored me. You have not given me glory. You have not given me praise. And now I'm going to let you know. So here we go. As yet exalted thou thyself against my people and that thou will not let them go. Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain. Very grievous hail. Such has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof, even until now.
[00:08:54] Send there forth now and gather thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field. For upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field shall not be brought home. The hail shall come down upon them and they shall die.
[00:09:11] And he feared the word of the Lord, of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh, made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses. And he that regarded not the word of the Lord, left his servants and his cattle in the field.
[00:09:30] And the Lord said, said unto Moses, stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, upon beast, and upon every herb of the field throughout the land of Egypt. And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven. And the Lord sent thunder and hail. And the fire ran along upon the ground. And the Lord reigned hail upon the land of Egypt.
[00:09:59] So there was hail and fire mingled with the hail. Very grievous. Such that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
[00:10:10] And the hail smoked throughout all the land of Egypt, all that was in the field, both man and beast. And the hail smoke every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail. And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron and said unto them, I have sinned. This time the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. Entreat the Lord, for it is enough that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail. And I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer. And Moses said to him, as soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the Lord, and the thunder shall cease. Neither shall there be any more hail. That thou mayest know that the earth is the Lord's. But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not fear the Lord God.
[00:11:13] So those. Moses already knows this because he's arrogant, you know, Pharaoh has been arrogant the entire time. So here we go. Page 80, verse 31. And the flax and the barley was smitten, for the barley was in the. In the air, and the flax was bold.
[00:11:34] But the wheat and the rye were not smitten, for they were not grown up. And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread about his hands unto the Lord. And the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth. When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he seen, he sinned yet more and hardened his heart and his servants. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened. Neither would he let the children Israel go, as the Lord had spoken by Moses.
[00:12:11] So again, as soon as it stopped, he's like, it's done. What he's not cluing into yet, what he is not understanding is Moses has been this intercession between God and Pharaoh. And Pharaoh is not hearkening to exactly what God is. Is wanting. He. He is just. Okay, now it's passed. Let's move on. You're not going anywhere. And he is being just stubborn, arrogant. His heart is hardened and he probably doesn't know why. And the. The thing about this is God is not only manipulating him and.
[00:12:55] But he is showing these the entire world. All these things are going throughout the world. Everybody is hearing the rumors. Everybody is hearing everything that is going on there there's testament to this all the way through. It's being written, and everybody is understanding. God is God. He is the God of the earth. And yet we're still sinning, yet we're still making that mistake.
[00:13:27] So now we're at the eighth plague. We're at locusts.
[00:13:33] And the Lord said unto Moses, going unto Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants that I might show these my signs before him. And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son and of thy son's son what things I have wrought in Egypt. And my signs, which I have done among them. That ye may know how. That I am the Lord. And you notice we're still at that. I am the Lord. I am. Every. Every single time. I am, I am. From the time that he, Moses, said, who am I supposed to say you are? I am who I am.
[00:14:15] So I am the Lord.
[00:14:18] And they shall cover the face of the Earth, and one cannot be able to see the Earth. And they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field. And they shall fill thy houses and thy houses of thy servants and the houses of all the Egyptians, which neither thy fathers nor thy father's fathers have seen since the day they were upon the earth. Unto this day. And he turned himself and went out from Pharaoh. And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, how long shall this man be a snare unto us? Let the man go, that they may serve the Lord their God. Knowest thou that not yet Egypt is destroyed? And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh. And he said unto them, go, serve the Lord your God. But who are they that shall go? And Moses said, we will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go. For we must hold a feast unto the Lord. And he said to them, let the Lord be. Let the Lord be so with you, as I let you go. And your little ones. Look to it, for evil is before you. Not so, go now, ye that are men and serve the Lord, for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
[00:16:00] And the Lord said unto Moses, stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come upon the land of Egypt and eat every herb of the land, even all the hail hath left. And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt. And the Lord brought an east wind up upon the land all that day, all that night. And when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the coasts of Egypt. Very grievous were they. Before them there were no such locusts as they. Neither after them shall be such. It's. They've never had them before like this. For they covered their face in the whole earth so that the land was darkened. And they did eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. And there remained not any green thing in the trees or herbs in the of the field, through all of the land of Egypt. Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron in haste, and he said, I have sinned against the Lord your God, and against you. Now therefore, forgive, I pray thee my sin only this once, and entreat the Lord your God, that he may take away from me this death only. And when he went out from Pharaoh and entreated the Lord, and the Lord turned a mighty, strong west wind which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea, there remained not one locust in all the coast of Egypt. But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
[00:17:44] So here we are. We're getting up to the ninth plague. It's. You're going to find this is very interesting. Okay. Moses knows he is sinning, or Pharaoh knows that he is sinning. Okay, I have sinned. I have done this. I have angered your God. There's the problem. Exactly how it says it. I've angered your God. And what he's not getting is. No, it's your God also.
[00:18:10] You have to understand. The Lord God is everybody's God. There is only one God, and he's not getting it.
[00:18:22] The Lord of your God. Every single time he has said that he is not accepting. He thinks he is a God. He is above this. And even his servants are saying, look, man, how much longer are we going to deal with this? Because can you not see that he has already pretty much wiped out Egypt with all these different plagues and everything going on?
[00:18:45] So he's hardened his heart again, and he's showing everybody his great power.
[00:18:53] He is omnipotent, omnipresent. I. I mean, he is just. Oh, God is just the best.
[00:19:04] So the ninth plague. Darkness. And the Lord said unto Moses, stretch out thy hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched Forth his hand toward heaven. And there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt. Three days.
[00:19:24] And again, you see in the three days you're seeing a lot of this stuff. Three days, the numerology and everything that's going on. And we know Christ was crucified. And three days later he rose. We know in Revelations that it is going to be dark. So dark you're not going to see in front of each other.
[00:19:44] Okay, can you imagine how horrifying that is? And then be forced to be absent from the Lord. There's the true hell is being. Not having the Lord there at the absence of God, the absence of Christ.
[00:20:03] Putting yourself in that spot when we have a choice, that to me is not.
[00:20:12] It's just not an option. We are made in the image of God.
[00:20:18] We should love that fact.
[00:20:20] But we also should love the fact that we have to believe in Christ, God.
[00:20:26] But you're going to see all this numerology that's going on.
[00:20:31] It's very strange. And it depends on how you interpret it. Depends on you. You see it. But we already just going back real quick, getting off a track. We're on verse 21.
[00:20:43] But the thing was, even with Enoch, Enoch walked with God for 300 years and on 365 God took him.
[00:20:52] Boy, that's. That's awful familiar, isn't it? That 365. Well, that makes up one year, you know. And he did this for 365 years and God took him. So you are starting to see this parallelism. You are starting to see this wonderful kind of just deep poetry in there and everything that is going on. I, I absolutely love it. I think that it's just fantastic. And they saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel have light in their dwellings. And Pharaoh called unto Moses and said, go ye serve the Lord. Now we're at the Lord only. Let your flocks and your herds be stayed. Let your little ones also may go with you. And Moses said, thou must give us our sacrifices and burn offerings that may sacrifice unto the Lord our God. Our cattle also shall go with us. There shall not a hoof be left behind. Therefore we must take to serve our Lord God. And we know not with what we must serve the Lord until we come hither. So they don't know what they're supposed to do yet. God is just setting all this up right now and they're going to wait to hear from him. But they must go to make this celebration happen.
[00:22:29] But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. And Pharaoh said unto him, get thee from me. Take heed to thyself. See my face no more. For in that day you see us my face. Thou shall die. And Moses said, thou has spoken well.
[00:22:47] I will see thy face again no more. So now Pharaoh's laid this ultimatum down there, and he is now threatened again. Moses. And Moses is protected by our God, our Lord, our Lord and Savior. By our God.
[00:23:05] And we're at the 10th plague now. We're at the last plague.
[00:23:10] And God is going to let Pharaoh know. You are no God. Okay? You, you are puny. You're nothing.
[00:23:21] And the Lord said unto Moses, yet I will bring one plague more upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterwards. He will let you go hence.
[00:23:33] And when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence. All together.
[00:23:41] Speak now in the ears of the people. Let every man borrow of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor. Jewels of silver and jewels of gold. And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt in the sight of the Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people. And Moses said, thus said the Lord, about midnight, I will go out into the mists of Egypt.
[00:24:11] It's very interesting now, coming like a thief in the night in a lot of ways. And what has happened here? Well, the Egyptians have now seen all these wonders that God has done and, and the. The servants and everyone else. And they have a lot of respect now for Moses. They have a lot of respect that, okay, this guy is direct communication with God. And this God is the God of the world now. They're seeing it. They have seen it, witnessed it, experienced it. And so what's happening, we're seeing a great plunder happen here because they have so much respect and everything else. They're giving him jewelry, they're. They're giving everything that you can imagine, they're giving it to them. So basically, they're being robbed from themselves. They've. They've done it to themselves.
[00:25:07] It's like handing out candy at Halloween.
[00:25:11] So it. That is the way that this is going on.
[00:25:16] Jewels of silver, jewels of gold. And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people, he was prominent. They knew.
[00:25:34] So they're basically stealing from themselves to give to the Israelites. And now, here we go. We're on. We're on.
[00:25:45] Verse 4, chapter 11, page 81.
[00:25:51] And Moses said, thus said the Lord, about midnight, I will go out into the midst of Egypt, and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts. And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it anymore. But against any of the children of Israel, shall not a dog move upon his tongue against man or beast. That you may know how the Lord doeth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
[00:26:42] He's showing you this. Okay, this is going to happen to all the Egyptians, all the servants, all the animals and everything else. I'm going to take your firstborn, especially with Pharaoh. Pharaoh sits on his throne, exercising his right as if he were a God. And what he still hasn't realized is you're not a God. You're not a God. And the Lord has hardened your heart. And every time, go serve your Lord. It's your Lord too, and he just isn't getting it.
[00:27:16] And all thy servants shall come down unto me and bow down themselves unto me, saying, get thee out, and all the people that follow thee. And after that, I will get out. And when he went down from Pharaoh in a great anger, and the Lord said unto Moses, pharaoh should not hearken unto you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt. And Moses and Aaron did all the wonders before Pharaoh. And the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart so he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
[00:27:53] Here we go. The instructions for the Passover. This is what the Passover is about.
[00:28:00] This is what we have come to known, what we have learned in scripture, what we know happened. This is factual. It's, it's, it's without. It's undisputed and without doubt.
[00:28:15] And we are on page 12. Exodus, King James, chapter 12. And the Lord spoken to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, this month shall be unto you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
[00:28:32] There's that timeline. Here we go. We. We have the genealogy. We have. I mean, the Bible is full of everything from astrology to genealogy to numerology, you know, parallelism, theology, everything down the line. Science, everything down the line. So here we go. Now. This will be the first month for you from now on, in here we go.
[00:28:57] Speak ye into all the congregation of Israel, saying, in the 10th day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house. And if the household be too little for the land, let him and his neighbor next. Next unto his house, take it accordingly to the number of souls. Every man according to his eating, thou shall make the count for the lamb, however many people, and then that determines how much of the lamb. But you'll notice something, too, for every soul. So as. As we're diving deep into the Bible, you're going to see soul. You're going to see spirit. You're. You're. You're going. You're going to come to this understanding that we all do have a soul. There's no question. We're all made in the image of God, but we also will have a spirit. The advocate who later on will come. Right now, we're talking about soul.
[00:30:00] So your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year.
[00:30:06] He shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats. You shall keep it up until the 14th day of the same month. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take the blood and strike it on the two posts, the side posts on the upper door posts of the house, wherein shall eat it, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night. Roast with fire, unleavened bread and with bitter herbs. They shall eat it.
[00:30:43] Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with its. With its water, but roast with fire his head, with his legs, and with the puritans thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until morning. And that which remaineth of it until the morning, ye shall burn with fire. And. And thus shall ye eat it with your loins girded and your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand. And ye shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and I will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And against all the gods of Egypt, I will execute judgment. I am the Lord.
[00:31:34] And you can see, okay, we're splashing the blood, too. And we know the only reason that we are saved in this world is because Christ died for us, you know, and shed his blood. So you could kind of see. Here's that foreshadowing stuff again. Here, here, you can see it. You can, we're, we're jumping back and forth, you know, the cross referencing, you know, over over 60,000. It's almost 63, 000 times. But we're, we're seeing all these things, these similes and everything else that's going on and it, oh, it's just wonderful.
[00:32:14] And the blood shall be.
[00:32:16] Shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you. And the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you. And when I smite the land of Israel. And this day shall be unto you for, for a memorial. And you shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it a feast by ordinance forever. It's a day not to be forgotten.
[00:32:52] It's a day that it will always be. God could have passed through there, no problem at all. And known. Okay, Yep, yep. He knows exactly who everybody is. He knows everything. Past, present, future. There's nothing he doesn't know. We've already learned this from Adam and the woman in the Garden of Eden when he asked the rhetorical question, I heard you. Where are you? He knows exactly where they were, so he could have done the same thing here. But he is, he is teaching instruction. He is teaching ordinance. He is teaching them as they go along. They're getting to know God.
[00:33:31] This is a time in history when they knew other gods and everything else. And God has come down to show them, I am the Lord. Praise me, only me. Give me the glory, only me. Because only I can handle praise and glory. So we're seeing this and we're, we're kind of foreshadowing exactly what's going to happen in the future with all these different meanings of what's going on.
[00:34:00] So here we go. Seven days. You know, he's telling him, you have to do this. And the first day, you shall put away leaven out of your houses. For whoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that that soul. Here we are again. That soul shall be cut off from Israel. Okay, Put out. Done.
[00:34:23] Do not have leavened bread. Okay. Don't, don't do it with yeast. Don't, don't, don't do. God wants it done a certain way. There is. It's going to be his way. His yoke isn't that heavy, and yet we've made it heavy and that, and that's what it is. And in the first day, there shall be a holy convocation. And on the seventh day, there shall be a holy Convocation to you. No manner of work shall shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. So now we're, we're seeing this seventh day. It's the Sabbath. Keep it holy, do no work on it. And he's making it clear.
[00:35:11] And you could see it from the very beginning, the six days he finished everything on the seventh day. He saw it was good, he rested, okay. He it, you know, so he is telling them now. And on the seventh day you shall observe it. You know you shall not work.
[00:35:32] No manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat. That only may be done of you. And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. For in the same self day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever.
[00:35:58] In the first month, on the 14th day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread until the one and and twentieth day of the month, at even seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses. For whoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul again soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel. Whether he be a stranger or born in the land, ye shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations shall you eat unleavened bread. Now your coming to understand this, that, that and this is, this is kind of foreshadowing when we get to Leviticus 23:5 and you'll see it as it's coming up congregation, he's setting up everything right now. You can see it, it is definitely being set up. You can see there's rules. You can see that there is a complete system. And God is putting it into play. And he is teaching him this will be forever. There's nothing different here. This is how it's going to be.
[00:37:19] So here we go. Participation. And, and you'll notice something else too. Whether it's strangers with you or anyone, that is God's love. Full acceptance. Not just Israel, but full accept acceptance. If there's a stranger in your land or a stranger among is following, who is praising me, giving me glory and everything else except him. Hold them to the same values, the ordinances and everything else. But there's that wide acceptance. And how do we know this? Because in the New Testament Christ is saying, love your neighbor as yourself. It's all encompassing. Jew and Gentile, Greek, it doesn't matter, Egyptian, whatever. It's everybody. God does not want to lose One. No, not one. And. And here we go. Now we're going to get into this participation in the Passover. We're on verse 21.
[00:38:14] And it's wonderful. Exodus 12.
[00:38:20] Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said unto them, draw out and take your lamb according to your families and kill the Passover, the blood of the lamb over on the door posts and the frame.
[00:38:36] And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin and strike the lintel of the two of the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out that door of his house until morning.
[00:38:54] Again, strict rule, don't leave because what's about to happen is going to be terrifying.
[00:39:02] It's going to be enlightening to Pharaoh and terrifying to the entire world, but most importantly to Egypt.
[00:39:13] For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians. And when he seeth the blood upon the linton of the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not suffer the destroyer to come unto your houses to smite you.
[00:39:28] We found something here, right? He will not suffer the Destroyer.
[00:39:34] Exactly. Who is the Destroyer? At that time, you know, I. I mean, we know of angels, we, we can think. Okay.
[00:39:42] The Archangel Michael handles the war business. Gabriel handles the messaging. Ural handles this. Raphael handles that. But the Destroyer, So very interesting what's happening.
[00:40:00] I. I've. I have not figured out who. And we'll see this in ezekiel, by the way. 9 6. The destroyer. So you maybe assume maybe he's letting.
[00:40:15] Even though this is going to be. But God controls everything. Angels alike. So even though Satan fell, he fell like lightning. We know that Lucifer. And he took one third of the angels with him. Is he the Destroyer?
[00:40:31] He's made it clear though he will not suffer. And, and we read it again. And will not suffer the destroyer to come into unto your houses to smite you. And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever. And it shall come to pass when you come to the land of which the Lord will give you, according as he has promised. That ye shall keep this service. And it shall come to pass when your children say unto you what mean ye by this service. That ye shall say, it is the sacrifice of the Lord's Passover who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshiped.
[00:41:24] It's a religious service. Now God has Already set this up, a congregation of religious service. And the children of Israel went away and did as the Lord had commanded. Moses and Aaron. So they did.
[00:41:39] It's absolutely wonderful. And. And like I said this, it's going to be the same thing with the resurrection.
[00:41:48] The burnt offerings and the sacrifices will disappear because the ultimate sacrifice is going to be Christ. These things can't make up what Christ can give the ultimate sacrifice, which is really a God being a part of God sacrificing himself. So, you know, he's the one and only Son of God. But at the same time, when you see in Matthew, Luke, Mark, John, whatever, Paul, just any of them, God is in him. He is in God.
[00:42:25] All things have been given unto him from the Father. So in essence, it's God sacrificing himself, but it's through Christ.
[00:42:37] And we know the Spirit, the water, the. The Holy Spirit and. And God are all in agreement. We're going to see that too. So here we go. Redemption through the Passover.
[00:42:54] And it came to pass that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the cattle.
[00:43:11] And Pharaoh rose up in the night, and he and his servants and all the Egyptian. And there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night and said, rise up and get. Get you forth from among my people, both ye and your children of Israel, and go serve the Lord as you have said. Also take your flocks and your herds as ye have said, and be gone. And bless me also. And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, we be all dead men.
[00:43:56] They knew. They understood. Okay, you know, Pharaoh's still calling his people. You know, his people. It's not. It's all God's people.
[00:44:06] He believes he's on this mighty throne and everything else. But he's understood now because it's. It's affected him with his own son, his firstborn.
[00:44:19] And the people took their dough before it was leavened. Their. Their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses, and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, jewels of gold raiment. And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such Things as they were required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
[00:44:50] They pillaged him, okay, because of Pharaoh and because they hardened their heart and because of the slavery and everything that was done.
[00:45:00] They basically just gave that. Here, take this. Go on, get out. Take this. Go.
[00:45:08] So basically they were pillaged as if there had been a war. And they came away with the plunder.
[00:45:14] And the children of Israel journeyed from Ramese Ramses to suckath in about 600,000 on foot that were men besides children.
[00:45:25] And the mixed multitude went up also with much cattle.
[00:45:32] And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they were brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened. Because they were thrust out of Egypt, they could not tarry neither they had prepared for themselves any victual. And now the sword. The journeying of the children of Israel who dwelt In Egypt was 430 years. And it came to pass at the end of 430 years.
[00:46:02] Oh, stuck on a page here, guys. Give me one second.
[00:46:08] The self. Same day it came to pass that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. So imagine being enslaved for 430 years and then you're. You're finally, you're pushed out of there. And God has heard their cry. God has answered it. And then God said, I'm going to plunder them and give you all the spoils along with it as they push you out willingly. So here we go.
[00:46:40] It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
[00:46:50] This is the night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations. A night of watching. And we were told in the New Testament, he's going to come as a thief.
[00:47:05] Be watchful. Be on watch always.
[00:47:09] You know, make sure you put on all your armor of God, but be watchful.
[00:47:16] A night of watching. And the Lord said unto Moses and unto Aaron, this is the ordinance of the Passover. There shall no stranger eat thereof, but every man's servant that is bought for money. When thou hast circumcised him, then shall eat thereof.
[00:47:35] A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat thereof. In the house shall have eaten. Thou shalt not carry it forth out of the flesh, abroad out of the house. Neither shall ye break a bone thereof. Wow. Here we go.
[00:47:53] Huge, huge. Verse 46, Exodus 13, page 84. King James, I want you to hear this very carefully again.
[00:48:08] In one house shall it be eaten.
[00:48:12] In one house. Well, I'm thinking to myself, this is. This Is like foreshadowing. We're talking about when we're. When we're in the house of God. So thou shall not carry forth out of the flesh abroad out of the house, neither shall ye break a bone there of.
[00:48:36] Whoa.
[00:48:39] Christ, they said he. And you can go to Isaiah, you can go to Jeremiah.
[00:48:44] They will not break one bone. No, not one. And usually when people are crucified, they break the legs to make sure that that person was dead.
[00:48:55] In Christ's case, they used the spear and spared him in the side, but there were no broken bones.
[00:49:04] So very interesting of the wording here. You could. You could definitely see some of the foreshadowing if you pay close attention. At least this is how I'm interpreting it. How you see it might be different here. That was a great, great. That's just a great verse.
[00:49:29] And all the congregation of Israel shall keep it. When a stranger shall sojourn with thee, travel with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and let him come near and keep it. And he shall be as one that is born in the land, for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. And you notice here it is all encompassing again, as just as Christ is going to do in the future in the New Testament. All encompassing, which is, if you believe on me, you are my friend, you are. Here are my brothers, here are my sisters. Okay, you're with me.
[00:50:14] And. And I think that that is so important.
[00:50:19] One law shall be to him that is homeborn, entered in the stranger that sojourneth among you, that travels among you. We're going to see this in numbers 9, 11 and Galatians also 3, 28. Thus did all the children of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. And it came to pass the self same day that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies. Whoa. Now we got the armies and stuff, right? Well, we knew. There's the men. Did you notice that there was a counting of the men? 600,000.
[00:50:58] Besides the children, the women and everyone else. No, 600,000. And we also have an idea from the names, Gadda, Natali, Naftali. Naftali, or however you want to pronounce it, Manasseh.
[00:51:18] Joseph, you're kind of seeing this start to these clans starting to come together.
[00:51:29] And this is going to be the best part when we start getting into the next thing.
[00:51:34] Boy, we're already at 7, 7:53. I didn't realize that there's going to be a sanctification as a result of the Passover. And I think that we're. We're going to stop right there, but we're gonna. I'm gonna read a little bit of it. Okay.
[00:51:51] The sanctification is a result of the Passover. And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, sanctify unto me all the firstborn whatsoever open openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both man and. And of beast, of beast, it is mine. And Moses said unto the people, remember this day in which you came out of Egypt out of the house of bondage. For by the strength of the hand of the Lord brought you out from this place. There shall be no leavened bread be eaten. This day came ye in a month. A biblical. That is, the month is a bit. And it shall be between when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, which he swore unto thy fathers to give thee a land flowing of milk and honey, and that thou shalt keep this service in this month seven days shall thou eat unleavened bread. And on the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord. It's a religious ceremony.
[00:53:03] Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days. And there shall be no leavened bread be seen with thee. Neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters. Don't have it anywhere. Not in your houses. Nowhere. And thou shall show thy son in that day saying, this is done because of the. This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
[00:53:34] Is. It's absolutely wonderful, too, that you're. You're going to see that he is not only showing his strength of hand that the Lord brought you out of this place, but it's so inclusive. It was from the bondage that he has rescued him. He has promised this land, and he is going to drive out the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, the Jebusites, because he swore them to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
[00:54:11] And this land is flowing with milk and honey. Seven days you shall eat the unleavened bread.
[00:54:18] I mean, all of this that is going on, and it can be anyone that is traveling with them that is believing in the Lord, they're going to be circumcised. Everything is going to happen.
[00:54:30] God is setting up everything he is setting up. These are ceremonies. These are religious ceremonies unto God.
[00:54:37] Ah, and, and you should see it. And it shall be a sign a unto thee upon thy hand in a memorial between thy eyes and the Lord's law that may be in thy mouth. For with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.
[00:54:56] And I think we're going to stop there.
[00:55:00] Chapter 13. And I'm going to put a little thing right there. We're on verse 10 and 1 6, 25, getting used to that, that, that 20, 25.
[00:55:17] But you're seeing what, what you're seeing is God is not laying this heavy yoke upon them and this sacrificed. And when God says, your firstborn and everyone is mine, what does that mean?
[00:55:32] It's his. What are we setting up for?
[00:55:36] That's one of, one of the things that's going to be, it's foreshadowing into Exodus, Leviticus.
[00:55:46] And the wonderful thing about it is, is that the Levites, we're going to learn about the Levites, the Corites, all the Levites and what their jobs are going to be, going to see the formation of the tribes. We're going to see everything come to fruition here. God's plan is so elaborate, so perfect, so loving. But at the same time, for those who are worshiping other gods, it's your worst nightmare. You know, he is a just God.
[00:56:24] He is not to be mocked. He is not to be, you know, and try to be mocked or anything. He's not going to let that happen. Okay? He's. It's not going to happen. You cannot mock God and think that you will escape from his punishment in his justness. And it's just not going to happen.
[00:56:49] This still holds true today.
[00:56:55] And we're going to stop there. But keep this in mind on how you live your life. Keep this in mind. And like I said, you know, if you have any questions, ask, ask your clergy, Priests, deacons, pastors, you know, rabbis, bishops and everything else. Our God is an awesome God.
[00:57:18] Ah, with him, I'm going to tell you, you don't have to worry about a thing, you know, or we could go through much trouble in this world. But there was trouble even back then as there is today.
[00:57:36] So it depends on. You just have to focus, stay focused, obey him, listen to his, you know, be obedient. He's not placing a yoke on you. Even Christ says that I'm not. My yoke is easy get rest. You rest with me. So try to remember that because people are today, boy, they'll really.
[00:58:03] It's really hard to deal with a lot of them. I'd like to be a homebody anymore. You know, I don't find a lot of peace out in the world. It's very hard to find that. So, you know, for me, you know, always trying to live a very enjoyable life with my family, sharing God's word right here.
[00:58:29] But learning to control ourselves is one of the hardest things. And learning to admit our own faults, our own sins and everything that we do, it's very hard to do.
[00:58:44] It is not an easy road. You know, when you say you're going to follow the Lord, you know, and follow Jesus Christ, understand something, you're in for it. It is not easy by any means.
[00:58:57] You know, devoting yourself and doing that stuff. It's not an easy thing. And we're going to fail at it. I don't care who you are, you are going to fail at it. Okay? In many, many ways. Ways that you can't even possibly imagine that are sinful ways. But that was the beauty of Christ coming for us and, and dying for us is because he bridges that gap and blots out those sins. So, anyway, God bless you. Thank you for tuning in.
[00:59:31] Like I said, I'm just a guy that loves to read the Bible. I enjoy it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And we'll talk to you guys next time. See you next week.
