[00:00:29] Speaker A: Hey, good evening, guys and gals. How are you? And welcome to life walk with Christ. God. And, boy, if we all, we all need Christ, because I can tell you, I sure do need him today. This has been a day. Anyway, we have a lot going on. And first of all, let me go ahead and do my disclaimers and everything. A life walk is just a simple guy. Me reading from the Bible. I am not a clergy. I'm not a priest, I am not a rabbi. I am not any type of religious figure whatsoever. I just love reading from the Bible. It's just that simple. Not a pastor, not a bishop, nothing. And I hope that you just enjoy hearing the word. The Bible is open to so many different interpretations. Reproof, reproach. Anytime that you have a question, I can't emphasize enough how important it is for you to ask clergy. It is just very important. That way they can give you a better idea of everything and go through it with you and give you the basic teachings that are important. Anyway, with this, I want you to know that. Welcome to the trim radio network. And this is a wonderful group of people that I work with, and we have some wonderful shows, and we're getting bigger all the time. So if you want to be a part of our trim radio network team, message us. We'll show you how easy it is to do. And we broadcast live all over the world. So if you have a computer, you have a tablet, you have laptop, you have desktop, whatever you have, you can catch on to us and you can listen to us. And like I said, we have so many new shows that are coming on, and they're just wonderful. Anyway, the opinions expressed by my host, co host, guest, myself and others is not necessarily that of the trim radio network, its owners, managers, or others. And that includes any health and medical professional information as well. We expressly deny any and all liability resulting from the show. Anyway, with that, we'll move on. We have, normally we play a song, but I'm not in the song mood today. And all of our songs are covered under our BMI music license. Six 10 516 58. And we do have a call in number 803-200-2277 and let me. Let me go ahead and put that on up because you know what? We'd love for you to call in. So here we go. Yeah, you got it right there. And during this show, you know, I'm a veteran, so understand something that I will have the suicide hotline prevention that will be going. And there it is right there. So now that we got that. Comments if you want to join in on the show, you're more than welcome to. I will put a little banner up there that will post and I'm going to paste it right now. And there it is. It is coming up. Bingo. So if you want to join us, it's real simple to do. It's nothing hard to do. We are in the King James version and we are in page, we're in Matthew, chapter 19 and that's where we stopped. And we're at 1083. That's page 1083 and wonderful Bible. I have a study bible, so I love going through it. I love reading from it. If you go through some of the different things that trouble you in life and put a lot of it on God, I promise you, I promise you, you will get a lot more clarity. It is very hard to go through some of the things that people go through in this world today. It's a very self centered, uncompassionate world out there right now. No empathy or sympathy. And we have a mess. We have created a mess. But that's not a surprise. It's mankind. Since the beginning of time, since the beginning of the Bible, we have deceived. We've been deceptive. We have done everything in the world to make God upset at us, and understandably so. But as we're going through now and we jump from book to book, so we've been through job, we've been through, you know, Genesis, Joseph and Moses. And you know what? We've gone through a lot. I love skipping around in the Bible and reading it. But if you get a chance, read it from start to finish, you'll love it. It is, in my opinion, the most wonderful, wonderful fact, prophetic love story in the entire world. There is no better. And to me, that's exactly what it is. You're reading a love story. How much God truly has mercy and is merciful and loving and just. He will chastise us just like his own children because we are a part of him. It is when he doesn't, we should be concerned. I would rather him chastise me than him not chastise me. At least I know he loves me enough to say what you're doing there is wrong and you need to fix it. So bless be to God. Praise be to all the glory. Go to God the father. All right, let's get to it. Sorry, I don't usually drink soda pop. I drink water or coffee, but I'm having a Pepsi today. Chapter 19 is the instruction about divorce. And you can go about it. It also discusses it in mark ten 116, in Luke 1815 through 17. And it came to pass that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee. And came to the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan. A great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there. The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him and saying to is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? Now, if you haven't noticed that throughout Matthew, throughout Jesus time, the short amount of time he was on this earth. When he really started to, you know, fulfill his destiny as God put him here, his only son, the Pharisees were always there. Always trying to catch him, always trying to trip him up. Pharisees, Sadie, whatever that. Always causing a continual problem for Christ, our Lord and savior. And they missed the boat because they didn't realize that Christ God was there right in front of them. The son in the flesh, from our living God. And they didn't catch it. And they were so arrogant and so worried about losing power, losing control, having the Romans take over and, you know, getting involved there. They were worried about earthly things. They did not care about eternal life, eternal things. The bigger picture. They were stuck in the rearview mirror, and they're still there today. And that's the problem. You can look in the rear view mirror all you want, but the problem is you're never going to go forward if you do, you're not going to go far because you're not going. You're not knowing where you're going to go. So. And he answered, and he said unto them, have not you read? Which he made them at the beginning. Made them male and female, male and female. Do you understand? Two genders, male and female. And a lot of you will say, well, that wasn't necessary to be pushed. But I didn't push that. God set that up. I'm just making it known. And that's chapter 19, verse four. And he said, for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother. And shall cleave to his wife. And they twain shall be one flesh. When you get married. And we've all made this mistake in today's day. Almost everybody has to this point. And some who have not. God bless you. God bless you. I can only applaud you. I have failed many times. But when you make this covenant with God, you know who he puts in front of you and makes you as one with him. You are in that relationship. God first, then your wife, then your husband. Okay? God has to be first, and he has to be in the middle of it. If he's not in the middle of it, if he is not in the midst of your relationship, he is what is binding you together. If he is not there, you are doomed to fail. It is important to have Christ God there. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh that wherefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. They say unto him, why did Moses then give a command of writing, of divorcement? And to put her away? Not him, but to put her away again. They're going back to Moses and Moses writings and all of Moses's teachings from the Old Testament, Genesis and exodus and everything. But the problem is, they're not realizing that God himself is in Christ, and Christ is in God, and he's right in front of them. Why are you going off of the scriptures when you should be going by every word that comes out of my mouth? Because it's not me saying it, but it is my father speaking these words, telling me what to say. And they just. This is where they miss the boat. This is where their arrogant misunderstanding comes from and how they'll never be able to see it. God will hide it from their eyes. God will keep it from their eyes. And they're never going to see it because, well, you know, every man who has ears to hear, let him hear, and eyes to see, let him perceive, let him see. They can't do it. They're never going to be able to do it. It won't be until the second coming, and then it'll be made very clear to them. He said unto them, Moses, because of your hardness of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wives. But from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication and shall marry another, committeth adultery. And whosoever marrieth her which is put away, doeth committeth adultery. His disciples say unto him, if the case of a man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said to them, all men cannot receive this, saying, save they to whom it is given. For are there some eunuchs which were so born from their mothers womb? And there are some eunuchs which were made eunuchs of men. And there be eunuchs which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heavens sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Lust is a huge problem. It was back then, it is today. And a lot of people, I don't think. Understand what a big problem it is. You ever go to the beach? You know why I don't like the beach? I'm going to tell you. We have men and women that just barely have anything on anymore, okay? Basically, it's a higher form from what they're wearing of prostitution in my eyes. It's to get attention. It is to get the looks and everything else. The problem is, the second that you look at her, whether you have physically been with her or not, have you committed adultery? Have you? If you've committed it in your mind, is it not the same thing? This is where we were all guilty of. Then we were brought to him, unto him little children, that they should put his hands on them and pray. And the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me. For of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them and departed thence. And here's rich young ruler. Here's another here. We're coming up. Matthew 1916. And behold, one came and said unto him, good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? And he said to him, why callest thou me good? Is there none good but one that is God? But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He said unto them, which Jesus said. And he said unto him, which. And Jesus said, thou shall do no murder. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witnesses. Honor thy father and thy mother, and thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. Now, you notice on these, there's six here. There's ten in the Old Testament. But this is God's son. This is God's one and only son in the flesh here. He's got the new covenant. He has the new rules. He's not telling you to ignore the old rules, but he is telling you the important ones right here. The young man said unto him, all these things I have kept from my youth up, what lack I yet? And Jesus said to him, if thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shall have treasure in heaven. And come and follow me. He's giving him an opera, you know, an opportunity to follow him. Keep that in mind. Sell what you have. Leave everything you have right now. Come, follow me. If you've done these things. And notice, Christ is not saying he has not. He is not disputing with him or said, no, you aren't. He knows every thought we have. He can look inside of us and see what's true and what's not. So I take from this, in my interpretation that he has done all these things. He has kept all these commandments from his youth. But let's read on. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily, I say unto you that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a candle to go through the eye of a needle. Than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. He had earthly possessions, things that aren't going to last, that can't last. He can't take them with him. Temporary things. Anything that we have is a gift from God that is given to us. It's up to us to take care of it. It's up to us to give thanks for it. You would not have it if God did not want you to have it. Understand that, and that's important. He had an opportunity to follow God. He missed the boat, and he was sorrowful because he didn't want to sell his possessions. What was more important, eternal life or those things, those possessions that he had? When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, with men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible. We'll never. We will always fall short. We will never attain that grace or anything else. It's only because of Christ who is gapping. Who is gapping that bridge and making it for us so that we can cross over. Then answer Peter and said unto him, behold, we have forsaken all and followed thee. What shall we have therefore? And Jesus said to them, verily, verily, I say unto you that ye which have followed me in the regeneration, when the son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory. Ye shall also sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone that has forsaken houses or brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for my name's sake shall receive a hundredfold and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Very hard to interpret that last part. Many shall be last that are first and vice versa. This is not an easy thing. Understand something. Being saved, getting into God's kingdom is not a sure thing. Every day we have to walk christlike. Loving, caring, compassion, empathy, sympathy. Every day. And every day we're going to get tripped up. We are fighting a constant spiritual battle, and it is a war. It's 24 7365. For the rest of your life, and believe me, it's all the time. So the parable of the laborers, here we go. Chapter 20, page 1084. And this you can go over to mark 1031 also crossover, for the kingdom of heaven is unlike a man, that is a householder, which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard. When he agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the market place. And he said to them, go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went their way. And again he went out about the 6th and 9th hour and did likewise. And about the 11th hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said unto them, why stand ye here all day idle? And they said unto him, because no man hath tired us, he said unto them, go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever is right that ye shall receive. So when even was come. And the lord of the vineyard said unto his steward, call the laborers and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. Now we're starting to see who's first and who's last, and who's last and who's first. So the ones that came in there, the latest are getting paid first. And when they came that were hired at about the 11th hour, they received every man a penny. But when the first came, they supposed that they should receive more, and they likewise received every man a penny. And when they received it, they murmured against the good man of the house, saying, these last have wrought but 1 hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which had borne the burden in the heat of the day. But he answered one of them, and said, friend, I do thee no wrong. Didst thou? Didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way, and I will give unto this last even as unto thee. It is not lawful, unlawful, for me to do whatever I want with my own. Is thine eye evil because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first shall be last. For many be called, but few chosen. The ones that he brought in last still did the work. Nobody hired them during the day. It's not their fault. And he had mercy on them, and he was still going to pay them the same amount of money. I can't tell you that they worked harder or they worked less than the ones before them, the ones that were out there during the day that are grumbling, thinking that, well, he should owe us more than a penny if he brought these in last. I seen a little bit of green with envy, jealousy there. But they did agree to the price. So did he do what was wrong? Well, no, no, he did what was right. Every man, he made equal, just as important from first to last. That's compassion, that's empathy, it's understanding. So now, here we are. We are on verse 17, the instruction about Jesus death. Mark, you can switch over to mark 1032 34 or Luke 1831 through 34, crossover. And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples apartment the way, and said unto them, behold, we go up to Jerusalem and the son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock and discourage and to crucify him. And on the third day he shall rise again. Very prophetic. He already knows. And he's been walking around this earth healing and praising God, doing everything that God has asked him. He has done it perfectly, sin free, knowing that the end, he's going to be punished beyond what any man could ever take. God's son sacrificed for us so that we could be forgiven for our sins. And he stole, loving, caring, just doing everything perfect. Then came to him, the mother of Zebedee's children, with her sons, worshipping him and desiring a certain thing. And he said unto her, what wilt thou? What wilt thou? And she said unto him, grant that these that these my two sons may sit, one on the right hand and on the the other the left in thy kingdom? But Jesus answered her and said, ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and be and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? And they say unto him, we are able. And he said unto them, ye shall drink indeed of my cup and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with. But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them from whom it is prepared of my father. Again, always not taking any compliments, he is giving it all to God, every single thing. The glory is going to God. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. But Jesus called them and said, ye know, the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you. But whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. And even as the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life for a ransom for many again prophesying his death. Coming up, moving on. And as he departed from Jericho, a great multitude follow him. And behold, two men sitting by the way. And when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, have mercy on us, o Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them because they should hold their peace. But when they cried the moor, saying, have mercy on us, o Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still and called them and said, what will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. And here comes the triumphal entry. And this is chapter 21. And when they drew near unto Jerusalem and were to come to Bethlehem unto the mount of Olives, then sent jesus to his disciples, saying, go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them unto me. And if any man say, aught unto you, ye shall say, the Lord hath need of them, and straightway he will send them prophesying even at these steps. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet, saying, tell ye the daughter of sion, behold, thy king cometh unto thee, meek and sitting upon an ass and a colt, the foal of an ass. And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. And that goes all the way back. You can go to Ezekiel nine nine and take a look right there in Isaiah 60 211, all the way back then from the old Testament to right now. And they saw this, and they brought the ass and the colt and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a great multitude spread their garments in the way. Others cut down branches from the trees and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before and followed cried, saying, hosanna to the son of David. Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Hosanna the highest. And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, who is this? And the multitude said, this is Jesus, the prophet, the Nazareth of Galilee. And here it is important. And they think a lot of them think. And we, you know, I watch a lot of shows and we go in and go to take some classes and stuff like that, that they thought Jesus was coming to free them from the Romans and get rid of their rule. Kind of like Egypt with Moses. But it really wasn't the case. He had a whole different way of freeing all of us so that we're no longer bound up and struggling. And jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the money changers and the seats of them that sold doves and said to them, it is written, my house shall be called the house of prayer. But ye have made it a den of thief, thieves. And the blind in the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did and the children crying in the temple and saying Hosanna to the son of David, they were sore displeased. And they said to him, hearest thou what these say? And jesus say unto them, yea, have ye never read out of the mouth of the babes and sucklings? Thou has perfected praise. And he left them and went out of the city into Bethany, and he lodged there. See, they're afraid. He's taking over everything. They're worshiping him more than they are caiaphas or any of them. And that was the problem that they were having so hung up on their power and what they wanted. So here we are, Matthew 21. We're going to verse 18. Here's the cursing of the fig tree. You can look at mark 1111 or 1111 through 14, and also chapter 1420 through 24 on the verse. Now, in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it and found nothing thereon but leaves only. And he said unto it, let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, how soon the fig tree withered away. And Jesus said and said unto them, verily I say unto you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto the mountain, be thou removed and thou be cast into the sea, it shall be done. And all things, whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. That's a problem with us today. We believe in Christ. We read, we believe, we follow, we prove. Reproach. Interpret everything the word. The problem is, is that we don't have the faith that we should. And it has become frustrating for Jesus. How long shall I be with you? It's unbelievable. And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching and said, by what authority does thou these things? And who gave thee this authority? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing, which if you tell me, I in likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John. Whence was it, from heaven or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, if we shall say from heaven, then he will say unto us, why did you not then believe him? But if we should say of men, we fear the people for all. Hold John as a prophet. And they answered and said unto jesus, we cannot tell. And he said to him, neither you tell I you, by what authority I do these things. And I think that's important. Understand? When John came down and was born, he was born with the Holy Spirit in him, from God, from heaven. So when he baptized, even though he baptized in water. And of course we know when Jesus came to him, he's like, I should baptize you. You should be baptizing me. And Christ said, for now let it be this. He knows that Christ is God. God is Christ. But John was to come. His whole goal was to make straight the path. He didn't drink, wasn't caught up in any of that. He's a man that ate locusts and honey and came out of the wild and proclaimed to everyone, hey, there is one who comes after me whose shoes I can't even loosen. I'm not worthy. And they killed him. I mean, they don't care. And in another reference, it almost references him back to Elias. It's unbelievable. So the parable of the two sons, but what you think a certain man and his two sons. And he came to the first and said, son, go to work in my vineyard. And he answered and said, I will not. But afterward he repented and went and came the second and said, likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir. And went, not. Which of them Twain did the will of the father? They say then unto him the first. Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto you that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not. But the publicans and the harlots believed him and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward that ye might believe him. Hear another parable. Here's a certain householder which planted a vineyard and hedged round about and digged a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandman, that they might receive the fruits of it. The husbandman took his servants and beat one and killed another and stoned another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first, and they did unto them likewise. But the last of all he sent unto him his son, saying, they will reverence my son. But when the husbandman saw the son, they said amongst themselves, this is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us seize upon his inheritance. And they caught him and cast him out of the vineyard and slew him. When the lord, therefore, of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto these husbandmen? And this parable has to me a very special meaning, because he's basically God. He's given us this world, and we're supposed to give him the first fruits and honor him and give him praise and glory. And what did we do? Well, he sent somebody to come collect first fruits, and we stone them and kill them. And then he sends other people. Hey, listen to the word. Listen to what I'm telling you. Here's the commandments. Here's everything else. Again. Stone him and kill him. Then he sends his own son, his own son, his one and only son, Christ, and we kill him. What do you think God is going to do to us for what we have done to him? They say unto him, he will miserably destroy those wicked men and will let out his vineyard unto the husband, which shall render him the fruits in their season. Jesus said to him, did he never read the scriptures? The stone which the builders rejected, that is Christ, the same is become the head of the corner. This is the Lord's doing, and it is a marvelous in our eyes. Therefore I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation, bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but whosoever it shall fall on will grind him into power. And when the chief priests and the Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. See, they're so worried about their power. But exactly this parable what Jesus is telling them, he is describing again what is going to happen to him. He's describing it. They're going to kill me. They're going to crucify me just in a different way. And yet they could not perceive or understand what the parable says. And Jesus chapter 22, parable of the marriage feast. And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said, the kingdom of heaven is unlike to a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth the servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding, and they would not come again. He sent forth other servants, saying, tell them which are bidden. Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all the things are ready. Come unto the marriage. But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise. And the remnant took his servants and and entreated them spitefully and slew them. But when the kings heard thereof, he was wroth, and he sent forth his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city. And he said, and he saith to his servants, the wedding is ready. But they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore unto the highways, and as many as ye shall find bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good. And when the wedding was furnished with the guests, and when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment. And he said unto him, friend, how earnest thou in hitherto not having a wedding garment. And he was speechless. And the king said to the king, to the servants, bind him hand and foot, and take him away and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, for many are called, but few are chosen. Again, God prophesizing, he is inviting us to a wedding, and it talks about the love and everything else of when he comes back, new Zion, a new world, new heaven. Are you going to go? Do you feel the invitation? There it is. Get dressed up. Be prepared. Don't go in there with just what you have on. Be prepared. Conflict with Pharisees and Herodians and mark 1213 17. You can go over to Luke, 2020 through 26, when the Pharisees and took counsel on how they might entangle him in his talk, and they sent unto him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, master, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest for thou any man, for thou regardest not the person of men. Tell us, therefore, what thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness again and said, why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Show me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. And he saith unto them, whose is this image and subscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. Then saith be unto them. Render therefore unto caver the things which are Caesar's. And unto God the things which are God's. And when they heard these words, they marveled and left him and went their way. Now you notice how they always come to him. And they say, okay, well, we know that you know you were truth. And you're God and everything else. Then why do you fear him? Why do you do the things that you do? Why are you always tempting them? Why are you always trying to trick him? Why are you always trying to do this? Because they're not worried about God. This has nothing to do with God with them. It has to do with power. It has to do exactly what Satan wants. He comes here to steal, kill and destroy. And that's what all this is about. The same day came unto him the sadies. Which say that there is no resurrection. And asked him, saying, Master Moses said, if a man die having no children. His brother shall marry his wife. And rise up seed unto his brother. Now there were with us seven brethren. And the first, when he had married a wife deceased, having no issues. Left his wife unto his brother. Likewise the second also, and the third unto the 7th. And last of all, the woman died also. Therefore in the resurrection. Whose wife shall she be of the seven? For they all had her. And Jesus said unto him, ye do err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection by neither Mary nor are given in marriage. But are as angels of God in heaven. But as touching the resurrection of the dead. Have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God. Saying, I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. [00:45:50] Speaker B: I mean, it's. [00:45:51] Speaker A: They're not getting it. They just. They. They just don't have a clue when it's coming to this. Which is it gets it. Such a great love story. But when I. When I'm in it and everything. There are some parts that I get frustrated with. And then I have to look at my own life. And say, okay, all right. Yep. Here we go. Here's my mistake and everything else. It definitely makes you look into the mirror, deep into the abyss, into your soul. And have a change of heart. The greatest commandment this copies over to mark 20 through 34. But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the sadducees to silence. They were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him and saying, master, which is the great commandment in the law? And Jesus said unto him, thou shall love the Lord thy God. With all thy heart. And with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, what think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? And they say unto him, the son of David. And he saith to them, how then do David in spirit call him Lord? Saying, the Lord said unto my lord, sit thou on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool. If David, then call him Lord, how is he the son? And no man was able to answer him in a word, neither. Durst any man from that day forth. Ask him any more questions. That's important. Jesus finally told them, here you go. I've had enough of you. Answer me this. He's basically letting him know, I am from God. Not David from God. The lineage might go to David, you know. But I am God's son, understand? The one and only living God. And he has sent me forth. I am here to ransom myself for you. And here we are. We're on. We have so much more to go in. Matthew. I just love Matthew. Matthew is such a great book. We're going to stop right here. We're going to be on chapter 23 and great chapter. Jesus characterizes the Pharisees. He's basically going to call them out. And he is going to let them, you know, let them know what they are, basically. I'm going to tell you what you are. And we are going to go here, 14. And we're going to pick this up again on page 1088 next week. Chapter 23. And like I said, the Book of Matthews. And it's going to be wonderful. And, you know, I don't know how many people this reaches, whether it does. Anybody could get zero views or whatever. Like I said, I'm not a pastor, rabbi, preacher, priest. I'm nobody clergy I just love to read the Bible. So if you enjoy that and you just want to take an hour and do that with me on Sundays, I'm going to keep doing it regardless of if anyone is watching or not. I do it because it's a wonderful way of peace for me. I love it. And I can only encourage you to start somewhere. You're not going to be perfect. That's all I can encourage you to do. You have to have a relationship with God, with Christ, God somewhere. My question is, are you going to have it on your terms or are you going to have it on his terms? So you have to start somewhere and then all of a sudden this turns into a wonderful, wonderful habit. And I call it a habit because pretty soon, then you don't want to go out without it. Every day. It has to be a part of you every day, just a small, small amount, just to learn and keep learning and keep learning and keep learning. I don't look at it as this book that's to be feared or this book that is going to confuse you and everything. It's going to take you a few times to read. This is my fourth time and I love reading it. And I still miss so much. And I get my interpretations wrong sometimes. And it's okay. That's okay. The bottom line is, is that I'm still working on perfecting that and I lead my house like that. So God first, you know, then my significant other and then everybody else, everything will fall into place. And I promise you that you have to have him in the midst of your life in order to have a life, in order to have life. So keep that in mind. And with that, I hope that everyone has a wonderful week. I hope that you all enjoy or have enjoyed reading and reading it on. Anyway, I'm hoping eventually that the show will grow and, you know, we'll get people on here and we'll talk about it. Where there's two or three, I will be in the midst thereof. So hopefully there'll be more people that will come on and enjoy it with me and we can talk and you guys can teach me and hopefully I can reciprocate in some way or form. I don't know, but I hope so. But with that, I am going to let you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a wonderful, wonderful day and just thank God tonight. And there's no sin that you can do that is impossible for God to not forgive you for. You have to start there. You have to start seeing your self worth. You have to start seeing and understanding that you can be saved, you can be forgiven, you can be loved. But you, on the other hand, have to do your homework, too. And you have to love and be forgiving and share his word. And don't get caught up in these worldly things. These things are horrific that we're seeing. But that's man. So just pray a lot and let's hope. But anyway, have a wonderful week. Be safe, be good to each other, love one another. And we'll all try to stop griping and complaining all the time. And hopefully we'll get better at it with that. God bless you. I will see you all later on. I had fun. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. And you know what? We're out of here. [00:53:44] Speaker B: Does life hit you so hard that you've been knocked down? Have you gone too far to find the middle ground? Ground they raise you so high just to pull you back down have you been so lost you could never be found? Because I've been real I've been freak I've been right I've been so, so wrong I don't know what it's like to be you don't know what it's like to be me what if we're all the same in different kinds of ways? Can you, can you relate? We both know what it's like to be both know what it's like to feel pain but I think it's safe to say we're onto better days can you, can you relate? Can you relate? Have you ever been left when you should have been loved? Has there ever been a time when you stay? But you should have run been fake, been a sinner, been a safe? I've been right, I've been so, so wrong, yeah, I made my mistakes, now I don't know what it's like to be you you don't know what it's like to be me what if we're all the same in different kinds of ways? Can you, can you relate? We both know what it's like to be her we both know what it's like to feel pain but I think it's safe to say we're on till better days can you, can you relate? Can you relate?
