[00:00:00] Sam. [00:00:31] Hey guys, good evening. And we're a little bit, running a little bit behind schedule, but welcome to life walk with Christ, God. [00:00:55] Last week we got into, we're at Leviticus, we're in chapter 15, page 140, King James Bible. [00:01:02] But last week we went over a little bit of Isaiah. And the reason that we did this was to understand where these laws came from. [00:01:11] We know obviously from God giving instruction to Moses, to Aaron, to his sons, and everything going, going throughout to all the different 12 tribes. [00:01:26] But we wanted to jump to Isaiah to show you that God is so upset that in Isaiah he said forget the former things, I'm doing a new thing now. [00:01:39] So it kind of jumps back and forth as an example of what the old things were first which brought about the new things. That's the wonderful thing about the Old Testament in the Bible is the, the old things that happened you must know in order to understand the new things and how these things came about. So the Old Testament, you know, Christianity, Judaism, you know the Israelites, everything that was going on, even regardless of what churches and everything else all started with the Old Testament and bringing those laws forward. [00:02:22] And you can see that these things, from what we went over last week, all these things needed to be known. Because if you don't know the Old Testament, you don't know the statues, the laws, the decrees, the different things that God is requesting, then you'll never be able to understand the New Testament. If you just read that, you're missing out on well, why is this this way? [00:02:48] So that's why we were jumping both back and forth. And it's very interesting and like I said, there's over 63000 cross references from old Testament to New Testament. I mean it's absolutely incredible. And we've gone through and I try to point out a lot of them, you'll see this again, you'll see that again. But to, to see it and understand it, it gives you a better in depth because the. Let's. I've always said the Bible is open to interpretation. How you might perceive or understand something is different for somebody else. It's the foundation is the same, that will never change. [00:03:30] But your idea of how you're seeing it is definitely, it's open to interpretation. [00:03:38] So let's get into it. We are still on Leviticus and like I said, Leviticus chapter 15, page 140. King James Bible. [00:03:47] Do remember, I'm not a rabbi. I'm not a priest, I'm not a deacon. I'm not a preacher, you know, no bishop, no. No anything. I'm just a person that loves to read the Bible. It is the greatest love story that is absolutely true, 100 ever told. And it's absolutely wonderful. So let's. Let's get through it. The discharges of man. [00:04:12] And we've been through a lot of the stuff too, just going over it. The purpose of the laws of leprosy. So, you know, they were dealing with diseases, they were dealing with famines, they were dealing with everything else. And. And he's giving him laws, too, of things that haven't happened yet or things that have happened. But this is how I want you to deal with it. [00:04:32] So when the Lord spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, and. And you'll notice something there. The children, okay? These are God's select people, Understand? He's. He's marched them out of Egypt. [00:04:48] They are his. Okay? We belong to him. We are just little infants, children, and that's what we are. [00:04:56] Okay? God is the Creator. So he's making it clear. He's putting us in exactly the place that we need to be put. [00:05:04] And, and. And that's what we are. [00:05:07] So speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, when any man hath running an issue out of his flesh because of his issue, he is unclean. [00:05:20] And this shall be his uncleanliness in his issue. Whether his flesh run with his issue or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness. [00:05:35] I. I think that a lot of this too is being said that, you know, as they're coming across these different things, be it sin, be it whatever. But there's kind of a hygienic thing that God is setting up for them, how to handle these things, to deal with these sicknesses, to deal with diseases and everything else. [00:05:58] So, you know, for us to learn every bed whereon that he lieth, half the issue is unclean. And everything whereupon he sitteth shall be unclean. And whoever touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. [00:06:17] And at the evening time, after he's cleaned and everything else, then there you go. And he that sitteth on anything whereon he sat hath the issue, shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. And he that touches the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. And he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean. Then he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and. And be unclean until the evening. [00:06:54] And what saddle soever he writeth that shall have the issue shall be unclean. And whosoever touches anything that was under him shall be unclean until the evening. [00:07:05] And he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. And whosomever he touches that have the issue and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. [00:07:27] And the vessel of earth, he that touches with. Hath the issue shall be broken with. Every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water. [00:07:36] And when he hath an issue is cleansed of his issue. [00:07:42] He shall number himself seven days to his cleansing and wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in running water. And he shall be clean. [00:07:54] You. You could kind of see how everything is. Is. He's. He's making it very clear. Listen, the wooden bowls, you'll. You'll keep. But the pottery, smash it, okay? Be done with it. It's. It's. It's unclean. It's. You can't say it's not worth saving anyway. But he's doing this with their clothes. He's doing this with anything that they. [00:08:15] And everything else. This is for the discharges of man. [00:08:20] On the eighth day, he shall take two to him, two turtle doves, two young pigeons, and come before the Lord unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation and give them unto the priest. And the priest shall offer them one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. [00:08:40] And this is why you're unclean. Or these things are having the. The discharges of a man sin. [00:08:47] The mistakes that we're making. [00:08:49] And in order to get right, God is requesting this so that you're not making it right for yourself. You're making it right because you stand before the Lord. [00:09:00] Okay? [00:09:02] We are human beings. We're going to air. We're going to sin. We're going to. We're the filthiest thing on the earth. So when we're presented, and we're presenting ourselves before God and we want true repentance. Repentance, then we have to be sincere. [00:09:21] We have to be forthright. We have to Be giving. We have to be loving. And this is what we're all lacking. [00:09:28] We go to God and say, forgive me of my sins. And then we go back and do them again and again and again and again. [00:09:35] And this is what I was showing you in Isaiah. He's tired of that. He makes it clear. I've had enough of your burnt offerings. The. The fat and. And the blood of this and that. I'm doing a new thing. [00:09:50] This is why. Because we couldn't even follow the simple rules that he had. And we're insincere about it. [00:09:57] We don't care. We think that we're wiser than really what we are. And it's insulting to the Lord, and rightfully so, because we all make this mistake. [00:10:14] All right. So here we go. [00:10:18] And the priest shall offer them one first in offering the other for a burn offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord for his issue. [00:10:28] And if any man's seed of copulation go out of him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water and be unclean until the even. [00:10:38] And every garment and every skin, whereupon the seed of copulation shall be washed with water and be unclean until the even. [00:10:47] The woman also, who man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water and be unclean until the evening. [00:10:58] And even people are saying evening or whatever, making it right until it's made right. [00:11:04] And. And that's. That's the way my interpretation is. Until the evening. So here we go. The dis. Discharges of a woman. And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days. And whoever touches her shall be unclean until the even. And everything that she lieth upon in a separation shall be unclean until the even. Also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. And whoever so touches her her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And who is. And that is, till it's passed, till it's done, until it's made right. [00:11:48] So here we go. [00:11:50] And whosoever toucheth anything that she sat upon shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. [00:11:59] And if it be on her bed or anything whereupon she sitteth when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even. [00:12:08] And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days and all the bed whereupon he Lieth shall be unclean. It's an impurity. That's what this is. It's an impurity. [00:12:25] So, and if the woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation, all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation shall be unclean. Every bed whereupon she lieth, all the days of her issue show be unto her as a bed of her separation. And what. So whatsoever she sits upon shall be unclean as the uncleanness of her separation. And the separation is her monthly period that, you know, so debtors are time to release and, and, and get clean. And, you know, so seven days. [00:13:14] There's a separation. There, there's, there's a, there's a, there's a reason for that. [00:13:19] And yet man today still violates that. So let's, let's move on. [00:13:25] And we're right down here. And on that date, on the eighth day, she shall take unto her two turtles, two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priest shall offer the one first sin offering and the other for a burn offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for her before the Lord for her issue of uncleanliness. [00:13:50] Uncleanness. [00:13:52] Thus shall you separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, that they die not in their uncleanness when they defile the tabernacle that is among them. This is the law of him that hath an issue, and of him who see goeth from him and is defiled therewith. [00:14:13] It's, it's a regulation. And, and that's how God wants it set up. And of her that is sick of her flowers, and of him that hath an issue of a man and a woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean. The impurity. [00:14:30] God is making this, He. He's setting this up of listening. [00:14:35] You know, I can imagine just, it has to be overwhelming for them to get all these statues, these, these decrees, these laws and everything else. [00:14:48] And certainly they obviously didn't remember them, didn't care enough about them, or, you know, we just, we don't have God in front of us all the time. So are we really at our best all day long? [00:15:00] No, because nobody's here to question us about something that we do except for our, our advocate that is with us that, that hopefully says, okay, that you could have handled that better. This could have been better. And, you know, but a lot of people, they quench that spirit. And it's hard. We're gonna make mistakes. We get caught up in the moment. We get caught up in everything. But we don't have God right in front of us. [00:15:27] And it's. It's a hard education. But can you imagine if the Lord were in front of us 24 7, would we alter our behavior with God watching us? [00:15:40] Even if he wasn't saying a word to us, but knowing that he's there, would we alter our behavior? [00:15:48] These people have the pleasure, the. The. The profound gift of just having God with them. [00:15:56] They. They can see him. The dark cloud, the fire at night. They're speaking definitely to Moses, to Aaron, you know, making it known to them. You know, remember, they didn't. They were so afraid of him. They didn't even want to talk to him, if you remember. And they were like, no, no, no, no. You know, you talk to him and come back and tell us what he says. [00:16:19] Well, here's what he's saying. Here's the decrees, the statues, and everything else that I'm giving you. My commandments, my covenants, everything with you. [00:16:27] So here we go. Preparation of the high priest, chapter 16. [00:16:31] And the Lord spoke unto Moses after the death of his two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the Lord and. [00:16:40] And died. And the Lord said unto Moses, speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not, they come not all times into the. To the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat which is upon the ark. [00:16:59] That he not. That he die not, for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place with the young bullock from a sin offering and a ram for a burn offering. [00:17:14] He shall put on the holy linen clothes coat, and he shall have linen breeches upon his flesh. And he shall be girded with the linen girdle and with the linen miter he shall be attired. [00:17:28] These are all holy garments. Therefore, he shall wash his flesh in water and so put them on. And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering. [00:17:46] Now, the important thing here is that you notice that God is making it very clear. [00:17:52] Before you come into the most holy place where I am present, you will be properly attired. [00:18:00] It's. [00:18:02] We. We do this in a lot of ways that if you were going to. [00:18:08] There's really nothing to compare it to. You're talking to the Creator of the world. If you're going to present yourself before him. You want to be as. As best dressed as you can. [00:18:21] These. These were people that were living. Aaron is alive. He is a priest. He has a huge responsibility to share the decrees to make right from the sins that they made their mistakes before God. [00:18:36] And he's making it clear. Listen, you've lost your two sons because they did what the. The incense, added the fire too much. They did not follow the commands in the most holy place. [00:18:50] If we take a look back at this to give you a better perspective of Satan cannot be forgiven, and we'll talk about why. What are some of the reasons why it can't be forgiven? [00:19:03] Where did Satan sin? In the most holy of holy places. [00:19:09] In God's temple. God's holy heaven. [00:19:13] Okay. His heavenly realms. He committed his sin in the heavenly realms and convinced others to do it. [00:19:21] If you're not seeing how this is aligning, Moses takes them over. They cross on over, and he's gone for the 40 days. He's talking and everything else to. To God. And lo and behold, they have Aaron make a calf. [00:19:37] And you know, God says, now go on, go. Get away from me. I. I've waxed hot and I'm going down there to just destroy them all. And Moses says, no, don't, please don't do that. Lord, relent. [00:19:53] You know, if you do that, they'll say, see, even God, even their God couldn't deal with them. [00:20:00] So Moses goes down and he's got the two tablets, and of course he sees what they're doing. Oh, and he wipes out, what, 4,000 of them. And I have to go back to look at the number, but he wiped out a whole bunch of them because they were worshiping a calf that they had Aaron create from their earrings and all the different things. And Aaron's like, well, I don't know. This calf popped up. [00:20:25] Okay, well, put that into perspective. [00:20:29] God is in heaven and in the most holy place after God has been there and has brought them out in the most holy place of heaven, Satan does what he does. [00:20:39] No, there is no redemption for him. [00:20:42] He. [00:20:43] He conjured up this idea that he was equal with God, even though God created him. [00:20:49] And he did it in the most holy of places. [00:20:55] The worst part about it is that's why I hate you. And I. [00:21:00] Because we can still be forgiven for our sins. [00:21:04] We. We can repent. [00:21:06] We can come back to the Lord and, you know, make right. He cannot. [00:21:12] So it's easier for him to steal, kill, and destroy. [00:21:18] I mean, he will steal and I look at it this way. My interpretation of it is he steals the word right away. He steals the truth, and then he kills you because he has taken away your hope, your faith, your belief, and everything else. [00:21:38] So it. It kills you. Okay, and then what happens? Well, now it's destroyed. You are no longer in the book of life. [00:21:48] So we have. That's the destroying part. [00:21:51] Might as well never existed. [00:21:53] So we have to look at it in that aspect of what's going on. [00:21:57] So when you go before God and everything else, we do want to be well prepared. Even though we're horrible, horrible creatures, we were made in God's image. [00:22:08] He loves us for that. He gives us a chance to be forgiven. [00:22:11] He loves us. And, and I still ask myself why? [00:22:17] But throughout the entire Bible, it is just a love story. That's. That's what I've come to learn is it's. It's just a wonderful love story. All right, so let's move on. We're on page 142. King James Bible, Leviticus 16. [00:22:31] We're at verse six here. [00:22:33] And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering which is for himself. [00:22:39] And he's the high priest. Remember, God has appointed him. He's the high priest. And make an atonement for himself and for his house. [00:22:48] And he shall take two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goat. One lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat. [00:23:02] That's why there's two goats, the scapegoat. [00:23:07] And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the Lord's lot fell and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to make an atonement with him and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness right away. It's just. Wow, you think about that. [00:23:36] Aaron definitely has to make sin offerings. We know that. After all, he did make a calf, right? That they were worshiping. [00:23:44] So, you know, what other sins is he committed? Can you imagine how he felt after his sons died? Right away? [00:23:51] Scared, horrified. Everything else but his mindset has to have just like the rest of ours. Is there a bitterness there? Is there. You know, there's an anger there. And everything else. If Christ experienced every single emotion and everything that we've gone through, why is it so hard to believe that Aaron didn't? [00:24:14] When his two sons were. Were cooked, he Burned them up. [00:24:21] So you have to imagine, at least common sense tells me I can't possibly understand the workings of God. But in our mind, in our capacity, I, you have to understand, I'm sure, that there is. If there's sin for all of us. I mean, that's just the way it goes. So the atonement for the priest and Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself. And he shall take a sensor full of burning coals of fire from the altar before the Lord and his hands full of sweet incense, beaten small, and bring it within the veil. [00:25:05] And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the Lord that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat, that is upon the testimony that he died not. [00:25:18] And he shall take up the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward. And before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his fingers seven times. [00:25:33] Everything has to be perfect. [00:25:37] As perfect as it's going to get before God. [00:25:42] And you know, you're going to see a lot of sevens in there. You're going to see a lot. And like I said, there's a lot of numerology that is also in, in the Bible. And you know, I pointed this out. It's. [00:25:58] I don't believe too much in coincidences when it comes like that. But Enoch walked with God for 300 years. And on 300, on the 365th year, or 365 years, he took him. [00:26:14] I mean, 365 days in the year we, you know, all these things, the numerology and everything else that goes on. And there's deeper numerology than that. [00:26:26] I look at six days, it created the world. On the seventh day, he rested and it became holy. A Sabbath day seven times. [00:26:37] I mean, there's just so many different things that you see. [00:26:41] And how you see it may be totally different than me. Maybe I'm way wrong. Who knows? But if you have questions, ask your pastor, deacon, priest, preacher, rabbi, whoever. [00:26:55] They can always give you a much better perspective. They're trained in all of this. But here we go. Atonement for the tabernacle. [00:27:03] Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil and do that, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat and before the mercy seat. And he shall make an atonement for the holy place because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and and because of their transgressions and all their sins. And so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. Uncleanliness. [00:27:39] And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out and have made an atonement for himself and and for his household and for all the congregation of Israel. [00:27:56] So God is. He's making it clear nobody's going to go in there. That's Aaron's spot. Aaron's got to make an atonement before he presents himself before the Lord. [00:28:06] And it's not God that sinned. [00:28:10] The tabernacle is in the midst of the of the 12 tribes, and they're the sinners all the way through. [00:28:18] So the atonement must be made. [00:28:20] So here's the atonement for the people, verse 20. And when he had made an end of the rec. Reconciling the holy place and the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, he shall bring the live goat and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions and all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat. And shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness. And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited. And he shall let the go go, or let the goat in the wilderness. And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there. And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place and put on his garments, and come forth and offer his burnt offering, and make the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself and for the people. [00:29:33] And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar. And that he let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes and bathe in the fresh water after and afterward come into the camp and the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering whose blood was brought in to make an atonement in the holy place, shall carry forth without the camp. And they shall burn in the. In the fire, their skins, their flesh and their dung. And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp. So even before they can get in. Into the camps, the one who walks off with the scapegoat, with everybody sin. [00:30:21] Everybody sin in the camp is headed out. The goat is headed out to a desolate area and let go. [00:30:30] But taking with it. It's the scapegoat. Taking with it all the sins of all the people. [00:30:37] And yet here we go. The purpose of the. You know, when they come back, they have to wash themselves again before they can come into the camp. Because remember, if the camp is. If the tabernacle is in the midst of the camp and the camp is there before you even come into that area, that is holy ground. Those are God's people. We are his children. [00:30:59] So it has to be made right. So the purpose of the day of atonement. [00:31:05] And this shall be a statute forever unto you. That in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, whether it be of one of your own country or a stranger that sojourneth among you any. Any traveler. Okay. [00:31:24] And for on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you that you may be up, you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you. And ye shall afflict your souls by a statute forever. [00:31:43] So it is a resting period. [00:31:47] And again, it's talked about in Isaiah. You're going to see it. Isaiah 58, 3 and 5. You know, humble. And. And whom shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in the father's stead shall make an atonement. And she'll put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments, and she'll make. [00:32:10] And she'll make an atonement for the holy sanctuary and shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation and for the altar. And you shall make an atonement for the priests and for the people of the congregation. [00:32:23] And this shall be an everlasting statue to you to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a. Once a year. And he did as the Lord commanded. Moses. [00:32:37] So that is how this is. God is making it. He's telling them exactly what he wants again, right down to the smallest detail. [00:32:49] They know it. It has been given to Them, it has been told to them. [00:32:56] And God knows he's already said they're stiff necked people and they keep doing what they are. They're still his people, he still loves them. But boy, they don't listen for anything. That's why part of it is he calls his children. [00:33:12] Because you know what? In a lot of ways we just are. [00:33:17] We're like little kids having to always get swatted or switched or you know, go through the trials and tribulations that we do because we don't listen. [00:33:29] So here we go. We're going to get on now to chapter 17, the laws concerning the location of sacrifices. [00:33:35] And the Lord spoken to Moses saying to speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, and unto the children of Israel. [00:33:46] Again there's that children of Israel, and say unto them, this is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying, what man soever there be of the house of Israel that killeth an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp, or killeth it out of the camp and bringeth, bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to offer an offering unto the Lord. Before the tabernacle of the Lord, blood shall be imputed unto that man. [00:34:18] He hath shed blood, and that man shall be cut off from among his people. [00:34:25] You must give God his, his praise, his glory, and you must make sure that you're just not going up slaughtering and bringing back and it's impure or whatever, it's not blessed. And if you're not going to follow the rules, the statues and everything, then you'll be cut off. [00:34:45] You'll be gone. That's it. These, you know, these are holy, you know, things that God wants done to the end. That the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the Lord. [00:35:19] And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savior unto the Lord. And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils after whom they have gone a whoring. And this shall be a statute for forever unto them throughout the generations. [00:35:44] And thou shall say unto them, whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or the strangers which sojourneth among you that offer a burnt offering or sacrifice, and bring it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to offer it into the Lord, Even that man shall be cut off from among his people, destroyed. [00:36:07] And he makes it clear why. Because they have offered it to devils. Right. And we. And we saw that above to devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. [00:36:19] Well, we've seen that firsthand. [00:36:23] So. [00:36:25] Laws concerning the use of blood. So now we're going to cover that one. And you notice that we're getting to all these different. Different laws now. [00:36:35] So let's carry on. Chapter 17. We're on verse 10. [00:36:40] Oh, and whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel or of the strangers that's sojourn travel. Among you that eateth any manner of blood, I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood and will cut him off from among his people. [00:37:02] For the life of the flesh is in the blood. And I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls. For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. [00:37:15] Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, no soul of you shall eat blood. Neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. [00:37:27] And whoever whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or foul that may be eaten, he shall even pour out of the blood thereof and cover it with dust. [00:37:46] For it is the life of all flesh. The blood of it is the life thereof. Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, ye eat the blood of no manner of flesh, for the life of the flesh is the blood thereof. Whosoever eateth shall be cut off again, destroyed so. [00:38:11] And every soul that eateth that which died of itself or that which was torn with. [00:38:19] Torn with beast, whether it be one of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the even then he shall be clean. [00:38:35] But if he wash them not or bathe his flesh, he shall bear his iniquity. [00:38:42] He's made it clear. He's. He's made. Well, hello there, Diesel. My dog has decided to come here and say hello. Hi, Bodders. [00:38:50] Anyway, he's made it clear. [00:38:54] Don't eat the blood. That is the life that runs in us. It is the life. [00:39:01] So he's made it clear. That is a. [00:39:05] That's a. No, no, it's a sin. [00:39:09] So let's get into chapter 18. Now we're going to cover the laws of sexual sin. [00:39:14] And the Lord spoken to Moses, saying, speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. He's making it clear. [00:39:23] And we're the children. He is now. I am the Lord your God, I am the father, you are the child. [00:39:32] After the doings of the land of Egypt wherein you dwelt, ye shall not do after the doings of the land of Canaan. Whether I bring you, you should not do. Neither shall you wake. [00:39:46] Walk in their ordinances, don't follow their ways. Is basically what he's saying. You will not do that, you will follow my way. Don't follow their ways. You shall do my judgments and keep my ordinance to walk wherein I am the Lord your God. [00:40:05] He is making it clear. Ezekiel discusses this too. [00:40:11] If you're way ahead and you've already read the Bible. [00:40:14] Ezekiel 20:19 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them. I am the Lord, practice them. [00:40:29] None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him. [00:40:35] Uncover their nakedness. I am the Lord. The nakedness of thy father or the nakedness of thy mother shall thou not uncover. She is thy mother. [00:40:47] Thou shall not uncover her nakedness. The nakedness of my father's wife shall he not uncover. This is my father's nakedness. The nakedness of my sister, the daughter of my father, or the daughter of my mother, whether she be born at home or born abroad. Even their nakedness thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter. Even their nakedness shall thou not uncover. For theirs is thy own nakedness. The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter. Begotten of thy father, she is thy sister. Thou shall not uncover her nakedness. Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister. She is thy father's near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister. [00:41:35] For she is thy mother's near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother. Thou shall not approach to his wife. She is thy aunt. [00:41:47] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law. [00:41:51] She is thy son's wife. Thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife. It is thy brother's nakedness. [00:41:59] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of the woman and her daughter. Neither shall thou take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to uncover her nakedness. For they are near kinswoman. It is wickedness. [00:42:14] It's an evil thing to do. [00:42:17] He's making it clear. [00:42:19] Leave your family, relatives, everything like that, alone. And he's making it very, very clear. [00:42:30] Neither shall I take a wife to her sister to vex her, to uncover her nakedness beside the other in her lifetime. [00:42:40] Nothing intimate there also. Thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness or discharges which we just covered. [00:42:53] Moreover, shall thou not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife to defile thyself with her? [00:42:59] Thou shall not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech. Neither shall thou profine, profane the name of God. I am the Lord. [00:43:12] Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is an abomination. [00:43:20] It is sin. [00:43:22] So if you're a man, don't lie with another man. If you're a woman, don't lie with another woman. It's an abomination in God's eyes. [00:43:30] Neither shall thou lie with any beast. Defile thyself worth. Neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down there too. It is confusion. [00:43:40] Defile not yourselves in any of these things. For in all these, the nations are defiled, which I cast out before you. [00:43:50] That right there. That. That right there. Which I cast out before you. [00:43:56] So if we're taking a look at that on chapter 18, and we get to verse 24, he's making it clear as to why this. The. The land that he's promised. [00:44:09] Why these people are getting destroyed, why they're getting kicked out. If Hivites, Jebusites, all of them. [00:44:19] Ammonites, all of them. Why, they're. Because they're doing these things. [00:44:23] They're doing these things that he is giving the laws about, and they don't care. [00:44:30] So defile ye not yourselves in any of these things. [00:44:38] And the land is defiled. Therefore I do not visit the iniquity thereof upon it. And the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations. [00:44:54] Neither any of your own nation nor any stranger that so sojourneth among you, he wants you to obey. And for all these abominations have the men of the land done which were before you. And the land is defiled. [00:45:11] And the land spew not you out also when you defile it, as it spewed out the nations and that were before you. For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. [00:45:31] Therefore shall you keep my ordinance, that ye command not any of these abominations, abominable customs which he committed before you, that you defile not yourselves therein. I am the Lord your God. [00:45:49] He's making it clear. [00:45:52] And every time he says, I am the Lord your God. I am who I am. [00:46:02] And the Lord spoke unto chapter 19. The Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel and say unto them, you shall be holy. For I, the Lord your God, am holy. [00:46:18] You shall fear every man, his mother and. [00:46:23] And his father, and keep my sabbaths. I am the Lord your God. [00:46:29] He wants to make sure that that respect is there, that we're obeying. [00:46:35] Ye turn not unto idols, nor make make yourselves molten gods. I am the Lord your God. [00:46:42] And if you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, ye shall offer it at your own will. It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it. And on the morrow, if. [00:46:55] If ought remain until the third day, it shall be burned in the fire. [00:47:00] And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is an abundance. It is abominable. It shall not be accepted. Therefore everyone that eateth it shall bear his own iniquity, because he hath profaned and the. The hallowed thing of the Lord. [00:47:18] And that soul shall be cut off from among his people. [00:47:22] And when you reap the harvest of your land, thou shall not wholly reap the corners of thy field, Neither shall thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. [00:47:32] Thou shall not glean thy vineyard, neither shall thou gather every grape of the vineyard. Thou shall leave them for the poor and stranger. I am the Lord your God. [00:47:45] That's the other thing we're going to see in the New Testament. It's. It's very clear in that God is. He's doing a new thing because of us. But at the same time he didn't have the. The same rules are still there, the same statutes and everything. [00:48:04] But being children, we weren't catching on and. And still haven't. [00:48:13] So let's go on. You shall not steer, steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shall thou profane the name of thy God. I am the Lord. Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbor, neither rob him. The wages of him that is hired shall not abide with with thee all night until the morning. [00:48:39] Thou shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling Block before the blind, but shall fear thy God. I am the Lord. [00:48:49] Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. Thou shall not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. But in rice righteousness shall thou judge thy neighbor. And he's making sure that you that we're doing what needs to be done. So here we go. [00:49:16] Thou shalt not go up and down as a tale bearer among thy people. [00:49:21] Neither shall thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor. I am the Lord. Do anything to harm them. [00:49:29] So we're seeing these things. He's giving the commandments here. He's making clear. He's making them understand it. Thou shalt not avenge nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people. [00:49:41] But thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. I am the Lord. [00:49:46] And you could see it. It's Christ is saying the same thing in the New Testament. [00:49:55] And whosoever lieth carnally with the woman, that is a bonds made betrothed or to a husband, and not at all redeemed. For freedom given her, she shall be scourged, that they shall not be put to death because she was not free. [00:50:13] And this shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. [00:50:21] Even a ram for a trespass offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord. For his sin which have been done, and for the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him. [00:50:38] And we shall come unto the land and shall have planted all manner of trees for food. Then you shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised. Three years shall it be uncircumcised unto you. And it shall not be, and shall not be eaten of. [00:50:55] It's unfit. [00:50:59] Give it time. [00:51:02] There's. There is a period of time that God is requesting. Don't just come in there and start eating and doing all that. It's not going to work. But in the fourth year, all the fruit thereof shall be holy. Praise to the Lord with all. [00:51:18] He's making it clear. It's dirty right now. [00:51:21] Give it the time and then it'll be made holy. [00:51:25] In the fifth year ye shall eat of the fruit thereof, and it may yield unto you the increase. Therefore I am the Lord your God. Ye shall not eat anything with the blood. [00:51:36] Neither shall use enchantment nor observe times. [00:51:43] You shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shall thou mar the corners of thy beard. Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh. [00:51:54] And believe it or not, it does say tattoos in this so for the dead nor print any marks upon you. I am the Lord. [00:52:04] Do not prostitute thy daughter to curse her. To be a least the land fall to the hoardam and the land become full of wickedness. You shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am the Lord. Regard not them that have familiar spirits. Neither seek them after wizards to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. [00:52:29] Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head and honor the face of the old man for the fear and, and fear thy God. I am the Lord. Be respectful to the aged. If a stranger sojourn with thee. If your land, ye shall not vex him. But a stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you. And thou shall love him as thyself. [00:52:59] For ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God. [00:53:04] Treat that person like family. [00:53:07] You shall do no unrighteousness in the judgment. [00:53:12] In, in meter yard, in weight or in measure, just balances, just weights, just an ifa and, and ifer and, and just a hin ye shall have. I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. Therefore ye observe all my statutes and my judgments and do them as I am the Lord. [00:53:39] So we're gonna, we're gonna stop there. We're on chapter 20 and God is going to get in on this next part of Leviticus on chapter 20, 145. And I'm going to write my little thing here, 6, 2, 25. [00:53:57] You'll notice a bunch of things that God was talking about. And these are the laws on how we are supposed to live our lives. [00:54:05] And even though in Isaiah says, forget the former things, I'm doing a new thing now. [00:54:11] But we still have to know this stuff. This gives us an idea of right from wrong. It is a foundation for us on how our behavior is supposed to be. [00:54:24] And we're going to make mistakes. God knows I've made them more than anybody else. But we have to learn this foundation. And I miss that most of my life. I'll be the first one to admit that, that I, that I missed that. And you know what? There's. There's sometimes in life that you get a good kick in the pants and a wake up call. And from that time for me it was, it was about five years ago, four years ago. I've always known God. I've read the Bible before, but I treated it in the aspect of God wasn't right there in front of me and, but I always believed, but it still didn't justify the relationship I didn't have with him. [00:55:18] So we learn these things as we go on and, and that's why it's important, why we do the readings, why we're take a little bit of time, an hour a day or whatever it takes for you to have a relationship, have that spiritual time. [00:55:36] And there's no better way to learn it than to go ahead and learn where it all began from the start. [00:55:42] So we're moving along pretty good. We got a long ways to go, but I'm going to tell you it's going to be a wonderful trip the whole way through. [00:55:52] So next week we're going to talk about the penalty for worshiping Molech and I'll let you guys go ahead and just kind of imagine what it is. Understand something. [00:56:08] There is no other gods. There is one God. [00:56:13] So you're going to see exactly why this is being discussed, why God is discussing this. He's letting us know and it's addressed here of false gods and everything else. So we're going to cover that next week. It's going to be great. [00:56:30] I look forward to it. I always have a good time spending time with you guys, but I'm out of here for tonight. [00:56:36] God bless you. I wish you all a well and wonderful week. [00:56:44] Thank you, God. [00:56:46] Thank you for loving us. We love you and, and thank you for walking with us and waking us up. [00:56:54] So thank you. [00:56:59] Goodbye all. Take.
