Now, before we begin, I just wanted to let you know, I'm not a rabbi. I'm not clergy. I am not a pastor, I'm not a priest. I am nobody. I'm a guy that loves to just read the bible. It's open to interpretation. A lot of reproach. If you have any questions regarding anything that is written within this wonderful love story, this beautiful book, I suggest that you ask your pastor, minister, clergy, priest, rabbi, local church. You know, they have way more knowledge and than what I could ever offer, but I enjoy reading it. So I love to spend that time with you, whether you're driving home tonight or you're not. We are on page 1074, Matthew twelve. And right here we are, chapter twelve. I apologize. And we are on verse nine. That's where we left off last time. And it has to do with the controversy over the Sabbath healing. And you can find references from mark three, one, five, Luke six, six through ten, verses six through ten. And when he was departed thence, he went into the synagogue, and behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days, that they might accuse him? And he said to them, what man shall there be among you that shall have one sheep? And if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, he will not lay hold on it and lift it out? How much, then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore is it lawful to do well on the Sabbath days? Then he said to the man, stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other. And I think that this, when I look at this and when I read this, you know, them constantly testing Christ, constantly badgering him. You know, these people were. They didn't care that he was doing healing and teaching and everything that what they feared was they don't want to answer to Christ, God. They don't want to answer to anybody but themselves. They're in a position of power. They don't want to lose that power. It's been shown over and over again as we read through John. Therefore, they need to get rid of them. They want to get rid of them. And of course, it's written in the scriptures so that we can be saved. But that was their whole gig. So every time they test him in different ways, and every time he gives them an answer, they have no response to that. And they're not going to, because the words that come from him to them are given by the father, given by God. So Christ is here not to destroy, but he is here to heal and to serve. And they have not put this together yet. And all they're really doing is making themselves look bad because of the way that they are treating him. So let's go on. Where? Here we are. Verse 14. Then the Pharisees went out and held a council against him. How they might destroy him. And we know that's exactly what the devil wants. He wants to steal, kill and destroy. First. He wants to steal away every part of your faith. Your love, your charity, your hope, just everything. Steal it away. Kill you so that you can no longer challenge them. And then destroy you like you never existed. And that's his gain. Then the Pharisees went out and held counsel against him, how they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence. And a great multitudes followed him. And he healed them all and charged them that they should not make him known that it might be fulfilled. Which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him. And he shall show judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive nor cry, neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall not break. Shall he not break. And smoking flax, shall he not quench till he send forth judgment unto victory. And his name shall the Gentiles trust. Then he was brought unto them, one possessed with the devil, blind and dumb. And he healed them insomuch that the blind and the dumb both spoke and saw. And when the people were amazed and said, is this not the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fellow do not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub, the prince of devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts. And he said to them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. And every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself. How shall then his kingdom stand? And if I will Beelzebub cast out devils? By whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods? Except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house. He that is not with me is against me. And he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. You can't be evil and get rid of evil. Because then you're going against yourself. And he's explaining this to them, and he knows their thoughts even before they're going to say these things. So the Pharisees commit the unpardonable sin. Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men. But blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh the word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him. But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him. Neither in this world. Neither in the world to come. I am coming back. I am telling you, do not do these. It is a straightforward command. Dont do this. Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt, for the tree is known by its fruit. O generation of vipers. How can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart and the mouth speaketh a good man, out of good, treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things. And an evil man, out of the evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment. For by the words thou shall be justified, and by the words thou shall be condemned. Everything that we say, understand, will be brought forward against us, or for us. Everything that we do, our acts, everything. And we are going to have to make an account of that and be judged. And if that doesn't give you fear, it should. It scares me so. You know, all these times that we say something, we don't think about it. 5 seconds later, we're sitting here trying to suck the words back in that we already spoke, knowing that we've failed so many times, that we fail in the spiritual world, in our dreams, or whatever else. And then you wake up and you think to yourself, man, I could have handled that better. All those things do come into account, because those things that go on in your head are also in your heart. And God will judge our hearts, and he will judge us by the things that we say. And we're all going to fall short. We're all going to make that mistake. But we have to learn to curb that. Trying to obtain a higher level of understanding and compassion and empathy, even with things that we don't agree with. It's very, very difficult to walk in a line like Christ. But we must try to do it, even though we can't do it, and it's impossible. He comes here pure of heart, with no sin. He commits no sin the entire time he's here in the flesh. And yet we sin millions of times every day. We err. We. We do every sin that there is in our hearts and our minds. So all that we can do is every day take a step to be better and better and better. And pray. And pray to God that he gives us the wisdom and he gives us the compassion and understanding. So that we can improve every day from where we were the day before. And ask him for forgiveness. Asking for forgiveness for our sins, for the mistakes that we've made in our lives, is a huge burden off of your shoulders. When I was baptized, it was a wonderful, wonderful feeling. I got baptized on Father's day. Not in. Not in honor of my flesh, Father, but in honor of God. And I had that purpose the whole time. And I loved that because it was like this huge weight lifted off my shoulders. And I put those things in the past, keep them in the past where they belong, and go forward. And for the things that we sin for from that time on, ask for forgiveness and move on. The other stuff will be blotted out. You believe in Christ God. You believe that you will be forgiven of your sins. And those things are blotted out. They will be spoke of no more. Well, the devil can present them, but it's. It's not going to hold up with my attorney. Christ God. I know that Christ God will have me covered, but it's important. Forgiveness is a huge, huge thing. And I can only stress enough, again, make sure that you're talking to your pastors, to the church and everything. Like I said, they have so much more wisdom and knowledge. I'm just a guy who likes to read the Bible, but okay, then. The Pharisees. Here we go. Matthew twelve, page 1075. And we are on now. 38, verse 38. The Pharisees demand a sign. Again, references back to Luke 1124 through 26 and 29. 32. Then a certain of the scribes and the Pharisees answered, saying, master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said to them, an evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign. And there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of a prophet, Jonas. For Jonas was three days and three nights in a whale's belly. So the son of man will be three days and three nights in the heart of earth. The men of Neviath shall rise in judgment with this generation. And shall condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonas. And behold, a greater than Jonas is here. And he's making a point to them. Behold, a greater than Jonas is here. I am here. I am Christ. I am God. God is me. He is in me. I am in him. All the powers of God have been given to me. Praise and glory to God. You notice Jesus never takes that praise and that honor. He gives it to the Father always. The queen of the south shall rise up in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it. For she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And behold, a greater than Solomon is here again. He is here. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places seeking rest and findeth none. Then he I will return into my house from whence I came out. And when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept and garnished. Then he goeth and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself. And they enter in and dwell there. And the last state of the man is worse than the first. Even so, it shall be also unto this wicked generation. And they made mistakes here. They want a sign, and they're testing God, that you don't test God. You don't do that. And they want to see all these prophecies to you, prove to us that you are the son of Christ. And to me, it is so ridiculous. And it's amazing at the same time that Christ answers them and says, listen to me. I am telling you how things are going to go. Here's your why. This is such a wonderful prophetic book. This is exactly what's going to happen. You want signs, you want proof, you want this. But I'm right here in front of your eyes and you don't see me. And this is why I say, they missed the boat on this. He was there, and they didn't acknowledge him. So here we go. Verse 46. Now, Jesus and the true brethren, while he talked to the people, behold, his mother and brethren stood without desiring to speak with him. Then one said to him, behold thy mother and thy brethren stand without desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said to him and told them, who is my mother and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, behold my mother and brethren, for whosoever shall do the will of my father, which is in heaven, again, praising God first and foremost, serving God first and foremost. The same is my brother and sister and mother to everybody. He's saying this to everybody. If you're going to do what God is telling you to do, and listen to his commands and following and loving him. You are my brothers, my sisters, my mothers. You are my friends. The same day. Chapter 13, the parable of soils. You go back to the references. Mark four, one through 20, and Luke 8415. The same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the seaside. A great multitudes were gathered together unto him. So he went into a ship and sat, and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, behold, a sower went forth to sow. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up. Some fell upon stony places where they had not much earth. And forthwith they sprung up because they had no deepness of the earth. And when the sun was up, they were scorched because they had no root, and they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprung up and choked them. But other fell unto good ground and brought forth fruit, and some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear? Let him hear. He's talking about us. He is telling us. Listen. How are we? We are the seeds. And we have to understand. They fell by the wayside. The fowls came and ate it up. We're not listening to the word of God. Some fell on the stone, and of course, they got withered up and devoured. And some fell in, you know, thorns. And they, they got choked out. And then some fell on the good areas, and they brought forth good fruit. We hear the word of God, and we ignore it. We hear the word of God, and it takes hold for a little bit, and then we forget it and go on with life. And then some, we hear the word of God. Then things get tough. And then all of a sudden, we get choked out. We lose our faith and our hope. And then for some of us, we hear the word of God, and it takes hold. And then it becomes a daily part of our day, a daily part of our life. It becomes forever more ingrained on us. And God has already told us before, listen, I have written on their hearts and their minds, these commandments, these commands, these laws, these different things. So it's not like we don't know these things. We have to learn them, but we're supposed to study. Just like, just like your relationship, just like your marriage, just like your significant other. Just like you love your kids, okay? You come out, you have kids, you're just like you're in kindergarten, and then you move on, and you go through grade school and then you go on to junior high, then you go on to senior high, then you get your diploma, and then from there you go on, you get your associate's degree, your bachelor's degree, your master's degree, and then your master of arts degree. You keep going. That's how it is with Christ. God, don't stop. See, every day we're supposed to learn more and more and more and more. Our goal is not get caught up in worldly things here, but continue to learn God for the rest of your life. Because what is hanging in the balance is our lives. Where do we want to end up? Where do we want to go? This is a fleeting, temporary mess that we're here, okay? And it has some good things to it, some enjoyable things, but it's still not our home. It's still not where we should be. So we have to attain the gift that he has given us to find the best place. And that's where we want to be. Heavenly realms in the heaven with God, with eternal life forever. Who wants to be tormented the rest of your life? Ask yourself. Nobody wants that. God doesn't want that. Which was what makes this the greatest, the greatest love story of all is because, and I look at it that way, no matter how many times man has fell over the generations, over the years, all the way throughout the Bible, God still wants us to love him and get to know him, worship him and praise him. It still comes back to us and we're the ones who fail. I mean, how cool is that, that somebody loves you? It's like your dog that you come home every day and it's wagging its tail. Now, if you beat that dog and hurt that dog, it's not going to love you, it's not going to care for you. But the dog is, and I'm just using this as a euphemism, maybe it's not a good one. It's probably not. Not. But I could tell you that the most forgiving and loving animal that, hey, there's my master. Wow. I am here to serve. I am here to make him happy. Wag my tail every, that's how we should be towards God, is loving, always happy that he's in every day of our life and always waiting at the door for him. You know, he will knock, he will come in and sup with us, but we have to be the ones to answer the door to be at the door, so. And maybe that's not a good analogy, guys. I, like I said, I'm not a pastor, rabbi, clergy, priest or anything else. But it's the best that for this moment that I came up with. So I apologize if I've offended you. I am not saying, I'm trying to look at the relationship, not the, you know, the analogy that way. And the disciples came and said to him, why speakest thou unto them in parables? And he answered, and he said to them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given, it's also, and of course that's verse eleven, chapter 13. Also to understand that there are people in this world that don't want to know God. They want nothing to do with them. They want nothing to do with Christ, God at all. Okay? And what better way to protect the Bible than to have it in parables in order for you to understand it? And the only way you're going to understand it is if you keep going back to it again and again and again and again. Don't read it once and say, okay, I read the Bible, I'm good. That's not how it works. It is a wonderful instructional love story that should be read over and over and over and over again because you will find so much that you missed the first, 2nd, third and fourth time that you go over it. And that's why. And it will bring a peace to you. It really will. You know, I struggle with depression, anxiety and all kinds of mental issues and everything, but I can tell you that when I delve into this, it does bring me a piece, and I try to include it in my everyday life multiple, multiple times. So here we are, verse twelve. Now, chapter 13. For whosoever hath to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance, but whosoever hath not from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore, I speak to them in parables, because they seeing, see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand, and in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, by which by hearing you shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing you shall see and shall not perceive. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed least at any time. They should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and for your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them. And to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them, hear ye. Therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word the kingdom, and understand it not, then cometh the wicked one and catches away that which is sown in his heart. Remember I said, you hear the word and you don't care. So what happens? That's when Satan steps in. That's when he comes in to do his job. Steal, kill and destroy. And that's why we have to be careful, because if you're not going to have Christ there and we have free will, what do you think is going to happen? He that receiveth the seed in stony places is the same that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it. Yet he hath not root in himself, but Dureth for a while. And when tribulation or prosecution arise because of the word, by and by, he is offended. When bad things happen all of a sudden, who do we blame? We're never sitting here saying, I blame Satan. No, everybody's got this. Why would God let this happen? Why would God give you the illnesses that you have or take your child or daughter or let loved ones that you have die or anything else? Well, he doesn't do that. He's not doing that. He didn't promise us houses, cars, money. He didn't promise us a thing. The only thing he said to us was, I am offering you a free gift. If you want eternal life, follow me. Listen to my commands of my father. Believe in him. Believe in me. Now here we go. Now let's go to verse 22. He also that receiveth the seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word and the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. We get caught up in worldly things. We value worldly things. We put our trust in worldly things that as we already know, don't put your treasures here on earth. It's not going to do us any good. Make your treasures therefore in heaven with God. He is your treasure. Christ. God is the treasure. That's it. But he that receiveth the seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit and bringeth forth forth some a hundredfold, some 60 and some 30. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while the man slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servant of the householder came in and said to them, sir, did not thou sow good seed in thy field from once? Then hath it tares? And he said to them, an enemy has done this, Satan. The servants said unto him, will thou then that we go and gather them? Gather them up. And he said, nay, least while we gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. And in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, gather ye together, first the tares, and bind them in bundles and burn them. But gather the wheat into the barn. That's when the separation will begin. Come. He's talking about us. He's talking about the evil that we can get stuck in in this world. Are we a tare? Are we the wheat? What? What are we? And come harvest time, don't. Don't just start chopping down the tares, because you might kill the wheat along with it. So bundle them. Bundle the wheat. Take the tares out at one time. Bundle the wheat. Put the good wheat into the barn. Heaven. Put the tares into the burning fire, for eternal done, gone. Another parable put forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like the grain of a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all seeds. But when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. We're the sheep, he calls us. We know his voice. We know to come to him. It's the same thing, the smallest amount of faith, the smallest amount of hope. Believing in him, we get to take solitude and enjoy that, and lounge in the branches thereof, in his arms, in his heavens. So another parable, he spoke, the kingdom of heaven is like unto heaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till the whole was leavened. All these things Jesus spoke unto the multitude in parables, and without a parable spoke he not unto them that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophets, saying, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. We're all not going to have that luxury. I wish that we could. He wishes he would love nothing more than to save the entire world. But we are utterly flawed, sinful and hurtful. And you know, I pray and pray and pray and just hope that you know, and I know in my heart that we must change us if we want to be with him and be held together in his arms. That's what we need to do. Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And his disciples came in saying, declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. And he answered, and he said to them, he that soweth, the good seed is the son of man. The field is the world. The good seeds are the children of the kingdom. But the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil. And the harvest is the end of the world. And the reapers are the angels. And therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire. So it shall be in the end of this world. The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom, out of this kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. Thus shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. Who hath ears to hear. Let him hear. It's pretty simple. Be the wheat, don't be the tares. Don't think that you have time. We don't have time. We are wasting time. We are wasting time in this world. We are wasting God's time. And he sits there and opens his arms and wants to bring us in. And he loves us so much, which again, is why I said, this is the greatest love story of all, and it's just proven over and over and over again. I just love it so. Here's the parable of the hidden treasure, verse 44. And again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hid in the field, which when a man hath found, he hideth. And for the joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath and buyeth that field again. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchantman seeking goodly pearls. And who when hath found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it again. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a net that was cast into the sea and gathered of every kind, which when it was full, they drew to shore and sat down, and they gathered the good into vessels, but they cast the bad away, so it shall be at the end of the world. The angel shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire. And there shall be wheeling, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Jesus said unto them, have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, yea, Lord. Then he said to them, therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven. Is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. And it came to pass that when jesus had finished speaking these parables, he departed thence. And when he was come unto his own country, he taught them in the synagogue insomuch that they were astonished. And said, whence has this man this wisdom and these mighty works? Is he not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary and his brethren James and Joses and Simon and Judas and his sisters? Are they not all with us? Whence, then, has this man and all these things? And they were offended in him? But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honor, save in his own country and in his own house. And he did many mighty works there because of their unbelief. You go back here and you look and they're like, show us. Show us a sign. He says, no signs going to be given. But yet he kept doing mighty works there because of their unbelief. He kept trying to show them again. They missed the boat. Chapter 14. Present response to Jesus. References mark 614 16. Luke nine. Seven, nine. At that time Herod the tetraarch heard of the fame of Jesus and said unto his servants, this is John the Baptist. He has risen from the dead. And therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him. Recount the murder of John the Baptist. Mark 617 29. For Herod had laid hold on John and bound him and put him in prison for Herod's sake, his brother Philip's wife. For John said to him, it is not lawful for me to have her. So basically John said, listen, you cannot have your brother's wife. What are you doing? This is not what God wants. This is not right in God's eyes, it is not lawful for you to have her. Now, we already know there's different laws, right? The Pharisees had laws then. They followed the laws of Moses in a lot of ways, but they followed worldly laws. And John, when he was born and when he came here, already had the Holy Spirit in him advocate. He was to make straight the path for the messiah, for Christ, God. So John has told him this. And because of that, herod, he didn't want to hear this. So what did he do? He punished him. And when he would have put him to death. He feared the multitude because they counted him as a prophet. Not because he wanted to admit that he did something that was devious, wrong, improper, but because he was afraid of the other people. And they counted him as a prophet. So where was his heart at that time? His heart was never in a good spot. It was never with Christ, God. It was never with John. And John was trying to show him. Listen, man, this is not right, dude, you cannot do this. He didn't listen. But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herod, Herodias, danced there before him and pleased Herod. Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatever she would ask. And she being before instructed of her mother. Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. And the king was sorry, nevertheless, for the oath's sake. And them which sat with him at meal, he commanded it to be given her. Now imagine taking a man's life because of the sin that he's done. Not because of the sin John did, but because of the sin he himself did. And of course, he was sorry because he believes John's a prophet too. But nevertheless, to look fair amongst all the other people. That don't matter. That didn't matter. But he made an oath. So he wanted to keep that oath, which I thought was just egregious when it involves the taking of another life. So he did it. And he sat and beheaded John in the prison. And his head was brought in a charger and given to the damsel. And she brought it to her mother. And the disciples came and took up the body and buried it and went and told Jesus. When jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place, apart. And when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. And jesus went forth and saw a great multitude. And was moved with compassion toward them. And he healed their sick. He saw that these people knew that he was upset, and he was going to pray and departed from thence. You know, imagine going to your own town and your people reject you, which is even more degrading, humiliating. It's berating, it's everything else. And see you upset. And then here comes John that's making the way for you. And this happens. And Christ had all the feelings that we had lost. Sorrow, death. Everything. Everything that we went through, he went through. And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, this is a desert place, and the time is now past. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said to them, they need not depart. Give them. Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, we have here but five loaves and two fishes. And he said, bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass. And he took the five loaves and two fishes. And looking up to the heaven, he blessed and broke and gave the loaves to his disciples and his disciples to the multitude. And they did eat. They did all eat and were filled. And they took up the fragments that remained twelve baskets full and that they had eaten were about 5000 men beside women and children. So even more. And straightway Jesus constrained to his disciples to get into the ship and go before him unto the other side while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away he went up to a mountain apart to pray. And when the evening was come, he was there alone. And the ship was now in the midst of the sea tossed with waves for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night, jesus went unto them walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were troubled saying, it is a spirit. And they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spoke unto them saying, be of good cheer. It is I, be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, lord, if it be, thou bid me come unto thee unto the water. And he said, come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind and boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said unto him, o thou of little faith, wherefore did thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. And then when they were in the ship and came and worshipped him saying of a truth, thou art the son of God. And then when they were gone over they came into the land of Genesaret and acknowledged him. They sent out into all the country round about and brought unto him all that were diseased. And they brought unto him that they might only touch the hem of his garment. As many as touched were made perfectly whole. You know, the thing is that what was the big miracle? Was it that the feeding of 5000 plus women and children with. You know, he said, look, we have two fishes and five loaves of bread. Or was it the fact that he was walking up the water? And we fail to realize that every single thing he did was a miracle and was to the benefit of God, to bring him glory. Then Jesus. Then Jesus, scribes and pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, why do the disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered, and he said unto them, why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, honour thy father and mother. He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, whoever shall say to his father or his mother, it is a gift by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me, and honor not his father and mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God. None effect by your tradition, ye hypocrites. What did Esaias prophecy of you saying, this people draweth near unto me with their mouths and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do not worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and he said unto them, hear and understandeth not that which goeth into the mouth defileth the man. But that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth the man. What we speak, that's the evil. Our tongue is the venomous part of our body. And what is spoken is coming from our hearts. So we have to make sure that we're being as pure of heart as we can. So that we're not speaking evil. Then came his disciples and said to him, knowest that thou, the Pharisees were offended after they heard the saying. But he answered, and he said, every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up. Let them alone, they be blind leaders of blind. And if a blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Then Peter answered and said unto him, declare unto us this parable. And Jesus said, are ye also yet without understanding? Do ye not yet understand? Whatsoever entereth in the mouth goeth into the belly and is cast out into the drop. But those things which proceedeth out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murderers, adulteries, fornications, thefts, fault, witnesses, blasphemies. All these things which defile a man. But to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Then Jesus went thence and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts and cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, o Lord, thou son of David, my daughter is grievously vexed with the devil. But he answered her not. But he answered her not a word. And cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, o Lord, son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with the devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, send her away, for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, lord, help me. But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. And she said, truth, Lord? Yet the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from the master's table. Then Jesus answered and said to her, o woman, great is thy faith. Be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour because of her faith, because of her belief and her answer. As he questioned her, it happened. And jesus departed from thence and came near the sea of Galilee and went into a mountain and sat down there. And the great multitudes came unto him having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed and many others and cast them down at Jesus feet. And he healed them insomuch that the multitude wondered when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to behold and the lame to walk and the blind to see. And they glorified the God of Israel. Again, not Jesus, but God the father. Then Jesus called his disciples unto him and said, I have compassion on the multitude because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I will not send them away fasting. Least they faint in the way. And the disciples said to him, when should we have so much bread in the wilderness as to fill such a great multitude? And jesus said unto them, how many loaves have ye? And they said, seven and a few little fishes. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves of the fishes and gave thanks and broke them and gave to his disciples and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat and were all filled. And they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. Remember the first time it was twelve, this time it's seven. And they did. And they that did eat were 4000 men beside women and children. So the first time it was five. Now it's four beside women and children. Then he sent away the multitude and took ship and came to the coasts of Madela. And of course, we're. We're getting up there. I got a few minutes to go, guys. We're on chapter 16, the debate over the sign of heaven. And we're on chapter 16. And you know what? And I think we're going to stop there for tonight. Guys, let me get my trusty pen out here and we'll mark this down. And this was 4224. There is nothing in this world that Christ cannot do and has not done. And people always ask. I've had people ask me, you know, what's the opposite? If God is good in everything, then the opposite must be Satan. No, God created Satan. He is not the opposite of Satan. Understand? Satan holds no power even close to the Lord God. If you don't believe that, I want you to go on back to job and take a look. Go on back. Every single time Satan fails at everything that he does, he's going to fail again. He's going to fail forever. It's amazing to me that we have such little understanding and myself, too. So all I can do is wish and pray that you continue on. I hope that you enjoy this. I hope that you do come read. And if you have any questions, remember, it's open to interpretation. So my interpretation could be a little different than yours. So make sure that you talk to your local church, get the answers that you know, where they can explain it better. They're taught in this stuff, okay? They've gone to these seminaries, they've gone to these classes and everything. Like I said, I enjoy this and I read it. I do go to church, Riverland Hills, and I love it. I have not had the pleasure of being able to do that in about the last month due to illness. But I absolutely love going and learning and just understanding that. With so much of the things that we have happening in today's world, they are creating a division. This is. It's a distraction. These distractions that are happening. We see it every day. We see it every day. And then these people want to turn around, say, shame on you or shame on you. Understand something. Those true to God will shine through. You'll be able to tell the difference. But that doesn't mean that you make judgments or anything else against somebody else. Try to remember, we are taught to love one another as you love yourself. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. And remember, we are to serve only one God, our true and only king. And that's it. There is no other gods. It is him. So with that, folks, I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your week. I thank you for joining me again when we come back this Sunday. We're going to be on page 1079. We're going to be on chapter 16, the debate over a sign from heaven. And you can go back and look at the references of Mark, chapter eight, verses eleven and twelve. Anyway, that's where we're going to be. So Matthew 16 and be good to each other. Love one another. Try to be understanding, patient. Just take five or 10 seconds before you speak or rush to judgment. I ended up apologizing this week to somebody that I owe them an apology to. I am rushed to judgment and found out later on that this lady was actually just an angel and I wanted to apologize to her because I did not sit well in my heart. And don't be afraid to say you're sorry. Don't be afraid to ask for forgiveness. Don't be too proud and just keep asking God for knowledge and love one another. I don't care. Just do that. Love your enemies and do good. So with that, thank you for tuning into life. Walk with Christ, God. It's an honor and a privilege, and I can't thank you enough. So God bless. Guys, let's get out of here and let's see. I want to say thank you. Thank you again. Subscribe at the end. I hope that you enjoyed it. [01:00:56] Speaker A: Once upon a time, you were 25, walking up the aisle, you made the promise of love. Blink twice and you were 29. Singing lullabies, I looked up at you for the first time. Words fall short. I am sure there'll never be anyone like you. You're strong like you. Your father. Even when you were scared when I was in trouble, you never left me there. And you love like your mother like there's nothing lose. You're an unsung hero. So I sing this song for you. Woke up, I was 21 and I fell in love. Remember how I told you that I searched the world and I found the girl? And oh, how she reminds me of.
