And I thought I would drop by and say hello to all your guests and just. That's it. Just, just came on for a second, that's all. [00:03:30] Speaker B: Well, just for a second. You know, I just had a phone call and I told somebody not to call me until 09:00 and guess what? They decided to call me. Oh, can you believe that? [00:03:43] Speaker C: It happens. [00:03:44] Speaker B: I know. I'm trying to do a radio show and I'm just trying to get everything going here. It's a crazy day today. Is it hot down there where you are? [00:03:53] Speaker C: It has been miserably hot and we have been hibernating inside. [00:03:58] Speaker B: Hey, that's a good thing to do because that's what I'm doing, too. [00:04:01] Speaker C: Yeah, we decided we're not going to try to even deal with the heat and we're staying inside. Can't wait to hear the rest of your broadcast. I know you were going to be busy. You have a lot of information. Curious what you think about the housing market that'll be interesting to know when you talk a little bit about the economy and everything. And now how they're turning around saying, oh, it's strong, it's strong. I'm still not seeing it, so I. [00:04:26] Speaker B: Don'T want to be strong. The prices are going up and the interest rates are going up. [00:04:31] Speaker C: Exactly. Well, I figured I would just come on and say hello to you. It's good to see you, Stu, and I hope all is well. I'm going to leave you alone. [00:04:40] Speaker B: Well, hey, you have a good one. We'll talk to you later. All right. [00:04:44] Speaker C: Bye, guys. [00:04:45] Speaker B: See ya. Wow. Michael doesn't call that often on the show, believe it or not. Whoa. Well, anyhow, guys, let's see. Let's see. For the third time, I'm saying welcome to money and change on trimradio.com. things happen here. We have such a good group of guys and gals that are doing the shows, and we have fun, and it's just a big family. Hey, what you need to do is you want to check out the Trim radio [email protected]. and our motto is always, we cut the bull and serve the truth. And you can go and watch us live or listen to us live. And we're on a lot of different places. We've got what used to be Twitter, which is now x. We've got Facebook, and we've got Instagram and a whole bunch of other places. Oh, yeah, YouTube, too. That's amazing. And always after the show, I always get back on and listen to the show and try to see who called. Maybe I can get to see what Michael said behind the scenes or something. I don't know. Anyhow, guys, check us out. You know, we have fun doing the show, and we're here to provide you good information here. And, you know, to keep us on the air, you need to shop. Go to our shop now. Button, hit that and buy the merch. Michael always says, buy the merch. Well, if you buy the merch or the merchandise, what happens is you help pay for air time. And that's the important thing. We don't get paid for doing these shows, and we don't have a big production budget to do them, but we have fun and we help people along the way. So, you know, buy the merchandise and help keep us on the air. And by the way, we are worldwide. We get on the. On the web, World Wide Web, tongue twister. But anyhow, we get on the World Wide Web and we're all over the place. I've got listeners in Myanmar. I've got listeners in India. I've got listeners in South Africa, other parts of the Mediterranean. I've got listeners in Europe. I've got listeners in the US, Canada, I believe I have one in Japan, actually, Okinawa. And we don't have anybody listening in Iceland. So if you're from Iceland, send me an email. Let me know. Oh, hey, down at the far right button, there's a chat box. If you hit that chat box, you can go ahead and send us a message. And if you want to do your own show, all you have to do is click on that chat box, leave us your name and a number where we can get to your or your email address, and we will get back with you, and you can do your own show right here on trim radio. Kind of neat. And it's easy to do. I mean, if I can do it and Michael can do it and Roscala can do it and Victoria can do it, anybody can. I mean, it's. It's an easy setup, and we really enjoy it. Anyhow, guys, you know, the shows that we have here on trim radio, uh, we've got adventure awaits around the band, and we also have ranch it up with Tigger and Beck. We have life walk with Christ, God with Michael Bayjas. We have money and change live every Sunday at 07:00 p.m. except for one thing. I still have four concerts to play, and one of them will be at the end of this month. And so we do encore editions. In other words, a replay of some of the older editions, because my concert schedule is such. We start at 07:00 p.m. and I don't record this show. I really don't. They may do it to play after the broadcast, but I can't do it beforehand. I'm doing research up to the very last minute before the show. So things can change in a heartbeat. And I want to be able to bring you the current information that I can gather. Okay, so we also have Michael Bayhouse has take point 22 radio show. We have the slobbernocker talk and offsides college football top 25 during football season. We have Victoria Smith with the Natural Marketer podcast. And of course, we've got Roscala. Stefan, always doing the red pill reality show. And he always says, you know, you can either get the red pill or the blue pill. And I keep telling him, no, I want the green pill. He hasn't found it yet. I don't know what the green pill would consist of, really. I don't know what the red pill or the blue pill has in it. I'm kind of skeptical about things. Oh, so, oh yeah. Hey, check us out on my world live, laugh and whatever every Wednesday. And we are live for that. Every Wednesday. We can talk just about anything we want to talk about. And we also talk a little bit about the wrinkle city Gazette. You have to check it out, especially the clothing optional society. I was having lunch today and one of the people I was having lunch with said, hey, I heard about that wrinkle city Gazette. I said, yes. And I said, I cover that on my world live, laughing, whatever, every Wednesday night at 08:00 and she said, what's about that clothing optional society? I said, well, you have to listen to the show or you'll have to go to ready for this one? Wrinkle Hyphen City Gazette dot weebly.com. that's Webly.com. and there's a lot of editions. We talk about everything that happens in Wrinkle City could be happening in your town, too. Okay, enough of all of that. Just buy the merchandise and tell your friends about the show. And if you want to advertise, give us a buzz. Hit that chat link down on the far right hand side. Okay, before we do the show, I always have to do a disclaimer. I always have to the information contained in this presented material is from the posting of news agencies on the Internet and are not necessarily the views or opinions of the owners of this program. We are not responsible for and expressly disclaim all liability for damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to or reliance on any information contained in this broadcast. Boy, that was a mouthful, wasn't it? Well, hey, big shout out to the trim radio network for carrying the show despite the interrupting phone calls. And also a big shout out to the University of Findlay at www.findley.edu. it's an NCAA Division two school. Excellent academic classes, very good in sports. Matter of fact, they placed 19 of their track and field people on the all american track and field team for NCAA Division two. Not bad. And this spring, the golf team was excellent. The women's golf team was fantastic. So you have to check it out. This fall, they're going to be merging with Bluffton University, and Bluffton is a division three school and they will be competing in NCAA division three. And the University of Finley is NCAA division two and they're going to merge campuses, and I imagine they'll still give separate degrees, but the University of Findlay has three campuses in Finley. They have the equestrian and pre veterinary campus. They also have the main campus, where they have a lot of their business classes, educational classes, common core classes, a lot of other classes. I mean, a lot of classes are there. And then they also have the hazardous materials campus in Findlay, Ohio. And Findlay is a town of about 35, 40,000 people. Great people up there. It's a nice town. It's an all american type town. It really is. And one thing about the University of Finley, you will find students from all over the world there. And I know when I went to school there, believe it or not, we had people from Spain. We had people from Ghana. We had people from Nigeria. We had people from Kenya. We had students from Jordan. We had students from Israel. We had students from South America. It was interesting, and they all spoke English. And it was an interesting, interesting campus. It really was. And it still is. Great facilities, great professors, a really good cost savings for you. And they do offer scholarships. So it might be too late for this fall, may or may not, but you might want to check them out. It's the university of Findlay at www. Dot findle y.edu. check them out. Also, you want to check out rusty ducks custom pens, and Phil over at rusty ducks custom pens makes some beautiful pens. And both Michael Behoss and I both have pens, and we have. We paid for them. I mean, you know, we pay for what we get. And I'll tell you what, Phil does excellent work. Fantastic. So if you need a custom pen for your, let's say, school, university factory, your business for clients or performing salespeople or whatever, hey, check it out. Sororities and fraternities. Great pens. Okay. They're good presentation pens. They really are. And you can provide them with the design, or you can work with Phil to develop the design and then go ahead and make the pens. If you're into the second amendment pens, he has a couple different varieties of pens, and they are beautiful. They really are. You need to check them out. And that's rusty ducks custom pens and blanks. It's r u s t y d u k, apostrophe s, custom pens and blanks. And they are on Facebook. Okay. And, oh, by the way, if you're down at Disney World, you may see some of Phil's pens for sale. Might want to check it out. Okay. Well, anyhow, big shout out to money and change. Of course, we're on every Sunday night at 07:00 p.m. and except when I'm doing the concerts. And I will let you know in advance whether or not I'll be doing a concert the week of the show. And we also have my world live laugh and whatever. And that's going to be every Wednesdays at 08:00 p.m. and we're always live for that. I don't have any other meetings or anything to go to. And we can talk about anything. You know, if you want to chime in and give us a buzz or you want to send us stuff on the chat line, go ahead and do it. We have fun. And I really enjoy people sending me stuff. I mean, people send me jokes, people send me pictures, people send me emails. You know, I have fun doing that. Oh, hey, we've got some shows that are on YouTube. You have to check out Brad and Krista with the big family homestead on YouTube. Check them out. I've known those guys for a long time. Good videos, very timely subjects. And you'll love me just once you meet them. They're like buddies, like friends. You know, they still are, even though they've moved out to the middle of Wisconsin. Okay, check out the deep south homestead with Danny and Wanda King down at Wiggins, Mississippi. And Danny's going to be talking about porch time. And I imagine that's going to be coming up Monday or Tuesday. So you want to check that out with Danny King. Also, southern prepper one with Dave Kobler. You got to check him out. Southern prepper one talks a lot about finance and what's going on in the world and prepping and all kinds of stuff. Dave's a good guy. I've known him for 15 years. And, and I'll tell you what, he's, he's really good. He likes to have people call him on the phone, but I don't think right now he's so daggone busy down in South Carolina. He doesn't have time. Okay. He may talk to you, though, if you set up an email and set up a range of time. He's a very good person. Check him out. Also, we've got prepper nurse one still building his little compound down in West Virginia, putting up with the mud and the rain and all kinds of stuff. It's nice, pretty view, what he has, but he's still developing that and he wants to move down there, live down there permanently. And I don't blame him. New York state gets awful cold in the wintertime, and West Virginia is not that bad. Oh, let's see. We've got prepper princess. Yeah, prepper princess. Check her out. I've got some of her videos on our Facebook page. And by the way, we do have a Facebook page and it's money and change slash financially prepped. And if you would go to that page, anybody can join the group. All they have to do is just tell us that they want to join and I'll get a notice. And all I have to do is hit the button. Okay, and go ahead and approve you to come in. You may not be able to post, but you can check out the site and be part of our group, which is growing day by day. I also had a thing that I put up as a spoof and somebody put this on the Internet and it was done by the Babylon bee. And they do kind of humorous things. And it was McDonald's now offering a 36 month, zero interest financing on all value meals. And I say it's a spoof and a lot of people laughed about it, and it's true. And so, you know, we'll be talking about what's posted there during the show because you can go and click and see different things. And I've added more things to it. And so you can always check that stuff out. Also we've got, oh, gee, mental block here. Come on. Dave Gilmore, LDS prepper. Check him out. David talks a lot about radios and he talks a lot about communications. He talks about growing different types of crops different ways. It's not just a farm channel, it's a preparedness channel. David Gilmore on LDS Prepper. I've talked to him. He's a great guy, very intelligent. And he got me turned on to GMRS radios. He really did. And, you know, you can get a GMRS radio for as little as maybe $35. And you can apply for a license for dollar 35 through the FCC, Federal Communications commission. And that's good for ten years. There's no test involved. And your whole family can use that radio as long as they behave on the air. They have to behave. They do have a code of conduct. Okay? So David got me involved in that. And so one radio led to another radio, which led to another radio. And so I've got different types with different strengths, power ranges and so forth. But on my handheld radio I can talk from my home to Dayton, Ohio, which is 35 miles away. And then from there I can probably talk out as to as many as 100 miles based on repeaters. Okay. And it's neat. You get to talk to a lot of different people a lot of different times. You can use it in town to talk to relatives or friends if they have GMRS radios. It's a neat thing and you don't have to take a test. Okay, so you want to check that out? Oh. Anybody else? We did prepper princess. Well, patriot nurse is another one. I posted patriot nurse on a couple places on Facebook, and she was bringing up a lot of information, was really interesting. So you want to check all those places out? And those are my shout outs. Holy cow, we've done so much today. Hopefully I get through all this stuff because I've got a lot of stuff to go through, guys. Okay. If you check it out, underneath the spoof from the Babel Babylon bee, I've got the zero hedge. Things about Mandalay says Oreo cookies, prices won't be hiked. We're going to talk a little bit about that. Seven ways to pay off your mortgage faster if you have a mortgage, current inflation rates. Hey, they're all there. We'll post them. Also, there's the rules of money. If you scroll on down, there are the rules of money. Somebody sent me back a thing that said, I think it was Patty down in Louisville, Kentucky. She says money is the root of all evil. Well, yeah, it is, but if you use it wisely, it isn't. But the rules of money are there, and it's, you can go to our recent media section and you can see everything that was posted there. But, you know, pay yourself first. Learn how to invest. Don't be a hater of it. Give every dollar a job, spend less than you earn. And I've been talking about that. So you can see those rules there. And it's posted on our money and change slash financially prepped page. Okay. Also, I've got a thing about Keystone meats. Some people sent me things. I've used Keystone for years. I think that was Catherine. I think she's over in Greenville, Ohio. Anyhow, Catherine said she's used Keystone for years. Well, we used to use it at lodge quite a bit. We'd have a dinner and we would throw together a beef and noodle dinner. That was out of sight. It was out of sight, and people loved it, using keystone meats. But check out our web pages and, you know, I put them up there to help people. Okay, well, let's get on to what we need to talk about. You know, I said we were going to talk about food. You know, that stuff that you put on a plate and you put a fork into it or a spoon into it. And then you lift it up and put it in your mouth. Yeah, that type of food. Somebody was talking about the nation's food supply. And there have been reports in the last several months about beef farms catching on fire, cattle ranches kept catching on fire, chicken facilities catching on fire. You know, maybe 5000 chickens died due to fire and so forth. And it's going around the United States. It's actually happening. And some people were talking on Facebook and YouTube about somebody's out to cause some havoc with our food supply, maybe starve us out. Well, if I were you, I would start a garden. It's not too late. And you can actually grow food indoors if you want to. You have to do your own research. I've got my garden in, I've got cilantro coming up and oh, the salsa is going to flow. I make a mean salsa, but I gotta wait on tomatoes and squash and a few other things. Okay, so get your garden going. And if you don't and you have a farmers garden around, or as some cities have a small commons garden area that people can rent plots and grow their own food, hey, do it. And what you need to do is get the heirloom food, heirloom seeds, because you can harvest those seeds, dry them out and plant them next year. And that's what I do with tomatoes. The tomatoes that I harvest this year, I will take and save the seeds, dry them out and then use them to plant for next year. Okay, heirloom seeds, check it out. But anyhow, there was an article in zero hedge about the Idaho Department of Water Resources director Matthew Weaver introduced a curtailment order requiring 6400 junior groundwater rights holders who pump off the eastern snake plain aquifer to shut off their spigots. Gee, if you shut off the water, can you grow food? Obviously not. And Idaho Governor Brad Little issued a statement following the order on May 30 and said water curtailment is never desired, but the director must follow Idaho law and the constitution in issuing this order. And Brian Murdoch and East Idaho farmer said the water curtailment affects 500,000 acres, which equates to roughly 781 sq mi of farmland. Gee, why are they cutting back on the water usage? Is it going to be to save a species of worm that's in the ground? I don't know, but you can check that out. Shutting off the water, saying, you can't plant this, you can't grow this. They're trying to starve us out. Think about it. Are they doing that in Canada? They tried it in Europe. And the farmers had a big revolt and they had their tractors in every city. Matter of fact, in one city I watched a video, and it was back, I believe, in January, where a farmer had a big. I'll just call it a hooey hearse, okay. I mean, a manure spreader. And he took this whoey hearse and he went to a politician's house and turned this thing on and sprayed the whole bottom part of the house. With who? I. You know what I mean? The manure hit the pump, I guess. But anyhow, people over there were really upset at the way the government was causing the problems and saying, no, you can't do this and you can't do that. You can't sell food, you can't grow food, and all so forth. Well, they're still angry over there, and I guess we're going to get angry over here. Hopefully it's doing it peaceably. Okay. But restricting 500,000 acres of farmland. How to get a hold of Dave out in Idaho and find out what that's going to do to his crops. David Gilmore, lds prepper check them out. Okay. Wow. Are your supermarkets offering really good deals on food, or are the food that you order or you pick up or you search for doesn't exist or it's higher prices or there's, you know, a shortage? So far I've been able to go to Walmart, better known as Wally world, around here where I live, and they seem to have everything, and I don't have any problems going there. I go to Aldi's. I like the produce at Aldi's a lot better than Wally World, and it's just my preference and it's. The produce at Aldi's is really good, and the produce at Kroger's is generally good, but a higher price. And so I'm looking at the prices of things, and once the farmers markets get going here, where I live down on the square, I will probably go there and start buying things from local farmers instead of these big corporations. Support the little guy. Okay. Chances are you're going to get a lot better food. But are you finding that the supermarkets are giving better deals? Some cases they don't have, and you just have to check them out, whether or not it's price variances. I have an article here that shows different things from Kroger's and Walmart and so forth, and they're showing the difference in reduction of prices. For example, Kroger's was a reduction for dairy products, 6.4%, frozen foods, 2.8% dry groceries, 5.4% increase and produces 12.7%. And after being in the restaurant business as long as I was, and I take a look at things, always in the spring, your produce prices are high. Winter, usually I'm going to say December through April. And then all of a sudden, the vegetables start coming in. And sometimes they have to go to places like Peru to get the vegetables. Or sometimes the southern states come across with their vegetables and they start coming back on the market, and the prices go down and down and down and down. But tomatoes especially are very expensive when you're talking, usually January through March, they're very expensive. And so you have to be careful on how many tomatoes you serve with the salad and so forth. You know, I mean, that's the way it is. Check out your local groceries. Let me know what your prices are. Because in some cases, the prices are going to be up, and maybe before the election, they'll go down and then they'll zoom up again. I don't know. Check your prices. Do you buy freeze dried food? Do you have keystone meats? Hey, keystone meats, you can get a can of that. And it's good for five years. It really is. So check that out. And you say canned meat. Canned meats good. It really is. Especially the pork and the chicken and the beef, very good for, like, beef and noodles. Chicken and noodles, you know, that type of thing. You could even make barbecue from it. They even have hamburger, believe it or not. Yeah, canned hamburger. And you just put it all in a skillet and heated it up. And it's good. It really is. So you might want to check out Keystone food foods. I don't get anything for it. Keystone Foods is about 45 miles north of where I live. And I'll tell you what, they've got good stuff, and I've bought Keystone over the years. And hey, I'm picky about what I eat, and Keystone is something I do eat. There was an article that came out in zero hedge, and it said, eat more pork chops. A really tasty alternative to beflation. You know, the price of beef is going up. If you go to Kroger's or Walmart or whatever, the beef prices are going up and up and up. And if you go to a local butcher or a local rancher that can provide the beef, you can probably get it at a cheaper rate, and it may be better. So you just have to check around. But according to this one article, there was a Goldman analysis revealed that Walmart offers the best grocery deals among major brick and mortar supermarkets. Digging deeper, the discussion has now shifted to the meat aisle, and consumers are well aware of soaring beef prices over the last several years, primarily due to the collapse of the us cattle herd, which is the smallest size since the 1950s. Well, the good news for consumers is that with an abundance of pork supplies, prices are much more affordable than beef. Wholesale pork prices are currently $2.13 a pound cheaper than beef. So you might want to check that out. Hey, pork chops. Pork roast, pulled pork barbecue. Oh, I'm getting hungry right now, and I just ate before the show. Check out the pork prices and it may be an alternative. It may be an alternative. Check it out and adjust your meals accordingly. And eat more vegetables. The more vegetables that you eat, the more seasonable vegetables, the better off you are. There was an another article, and we're talking about food tonight for the most part. But I hope I don't make you hungry. I mean, it's making me hungry right now. Just talking about beef and pork. Boy, it makes me hungry. Makes me want to run out right now and get a hamburger, but I can't. I'm doing a show. Anyhow. Let's get back to it. Beyond bad fake meat. Have you ever tried fake meat? I think Burger King came out with a vegetable burger one time, and I thought I'd go down and try it. I think it was the impossible burger. The taste that it left in my mouth was an impossible thing to put up with. I didn't like it. Fake meat. Gee, is that Bill Gates doing fake meat? I mean, I've seen some videos where they actually print the meat out. They mix it up however they do it, and then it comes out in some type of a printing device like they would use to print prototypes for plastic items and so forth. Well, anyhow, it squirts out and they add different colors to it and so forth. Then there's flavoring. It's supposed to taste like beef. It looks like it's just squirted out of a tube. It's not appealing to me, okay? I like the real stuff. I don't like the fake stuff. I don't know about you. And that impossible burger was impossible to even get down my gullet. It was awful. So fake meat. It may taste like meat, it may look like meat, but it isn't. It could be soy protein. There was a movie way, way, way back when, and I think it was in the seventies, maybe the eighties, Soylent green. Green was the name of the movie with Charlton Heston and a few other people. I want to tell you something. It was a spooky movie. Check it out. Soylent green. S o y l e n t, green. There were two choices. You either purchased Soylent Green or Soylent red. Well, this reminds me of it when they said fake meat and other ultra processed vegan food linked to heart disease and early death. I even posted that. And so you can, you can read about it. But new research suggests that ultra processed vegan food can increase the risk of heart disease and early death, according to the New York Post. And it cites new study published in the British Lancet from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and the Imperial College of London. And they said ultra processed foods, or upfs, include packaged goods, drinks, cereals and ready to eat products that contain colors, emulsifiers, flavors and other additives and are notoriously high in sugar, saturated fat, salt, while often being devoid of vitamins. And they show a picture of something called beyond meat. It's a beyond burger. It's probably beyond what I can afford too right now. Well, anyhow, the researchers studied the diets of more than 118,000 brits aged 40 to 69 years old, and found while a plant based diet promotes overall heart health, that only applies to fresh plant based foods, fresh such as fruits and vegetables, as well as grains and legumes, better known as beans, they said. However, when the source of plant based food comes from UPFS, there's a 12% spike in heart disease related deaths. And according to the study, lead author Fernanda Rauber, R A U B E R, both the composition and preceding methods for upfs can result in higher blood pressure and cholesterol. And now this is a quote food additives and industrial contamination present present in these foods might cause oxidative stress and inflammation, further aggravating the risks, she said, adding, those shifting towards plant based foods should also think about the degree of processing involved before making their choices. Model of the story is just buy fresh. Can we spell fresh? Check with your local butcher. Check with wherever you buy your foods. Is it grain fed? Is it gmo? Grain fed? If it is free ranch, check it out. I would I don't like to see people eating stuff that's going to cause them to die early. Like I said, I think they're trying to kill us off. And the more economically that I think this is just personal to me. They turn around and they go to kill us off. They don't have to pay retirement anymore. They don't have to pay Social Security anymore. They don't have to pay out on medical benefits. Does that ring a bell? It does me. So you want to check that out? Always eat as fresh as you possibly can. Okay. Eat the foods that are in season. So right now, we've got. Tomatoes are coming along. We've got, of course, cilantro is coming along. We've got some fruits and vegetables and so forth, and just change your diet to the season, and then just add meat, chicken, poultry, as a seasoning or just as a smaller portion, but eat a lot more vegetables, and I think we'll be a lot better off. Oh, hey, Mondele Foods, they were talking about something about cookie prices won't be hiked. Despite cocoa chaos in West Africa. The price of cocoa beans is going to go up, and that mandalay is saying, mandalay International, I'll put it that way, remains optimistic that cocoa prices will drop at some point next year, despite a global shortage sparked by adverse weather conditions in West Africa. And so this week, futures contracts in New York topped $10,000 per ton again. And the company reassured investors that it won't raise prices on its chocolate based products to protect its sales volume. I don't know about you, I used to love Oreos. I just used to love them. Oh, my God. You know, you could take and make a sundae and put that crushed Oreo cookies on top. Oh, man, that was always good. I know when I was managing restaurants, we could make sundaes like that. We had different types of toppings, and everybody loved the Oreos. They just loved it. Personally, I used to take chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven, and I would put them in a small bowl that I had, and I would mold the cookies inside that bowl, put them in the refrigerator to solidify it a little bit, and then take it out, and it would actually act as a cup. And I put soft serve vanilla ice cream on that with some chocolate sauce. Oh, God, was it good? And people would say, can I have one? Oh, this is just a test item. We're just testing it out. Oh, I would fib on that one. I mean, that was one that I developed. And I don't know, corporate didn't say too much about that, but I developed some pretty good food. I'll tell you, I had some good stuff. Anyhow, Mandalay International, there's not going to be a raise in prices right now. It could get worse. You don't know. And one thing that they said, their most probable scenario into next year is that the cost will come down, according to the chief financial officer, Luca Zaramela. Zaramella and it was the fourth annual Evercore ISI consumer and retail conference and it was a virtual conference and it was done this week. And Zara Mello said the maker of Oreo cookies and top coblerone bars is well prepared to purchase cocoa at lower prices. He also acknowledged the possibility of temporary, a temporary gap between high cocoa costs and affordable chocolate prices. I don't know about you, I love dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate. I mean, after lunch I'll come home and I will get these small dove dark chocolate squares and I'll have two of them. Oh, it makes my day, it really does. I used to like some stuff that came from Aldi's, but they discontinued it. It was excellent dark chocolate. And actually, dark chocolate's supposed to be good for your veins and arteries. It's supposed to be good mood enhancer. Well, I'll tell you what, I don't know. I was certainly happy after having it. There was an article came out from the mises m I s e s institute with Frank Shostak. And in the late 1960s, Edmund Phelps. Phelps and Milton Friedman challenged the popular view that there can be a sustainable trade off between inflation and unemployment. And in fact, over time, according to Phelps and Friedman, loose central bank policies set the platform for lower economic growth and higher rate of inflation or stagflation. And because of messing with the money supply with the central banks, you know, you get an increase and increase in inflation. Every individual believes, you know, they become wealthier because they have maybe some more money, but that money isn't worth that much. Anytime you increase the money supply, then the dollar gets cheaper and cheaper, or whatever currency is, gets cheaper and cheaper and cheaper in value, okay. Or lesser in value, I'll put it that way. So if the dollar was truly a dollar and you printed off more dollars, it might go to $0.50 or less because there are more dollars in circulation. Well, unfortunately. Unfortunately, no, that's not a word. Anyhow, it's a bad deal because we've got more money circulating than we probably have gold in Fort Knox. By the way, nobody has basically inventoried Fort Knox in a long time. I think the last one was in the 1950s or sixties. Maybe they ought to do it again to see actually how much gold we actually have. Because Russia and China are buying a lot of gold and so is India. Maybe they know something we don't know. And speaking of that, you know, the BRICs countries, Brazil, India, Russia, China, South Africa and about 24 other countries, and it's growing, are going to get off the petrodollar. You know, after World War two, we ended up saying, well, okay, if you're going to buy and trade oil, you have to do it in us dollars. Well, now they're getting away from that. And pretty soon you could see the dollar decline. By how much? I can't tell you. And you could see other currencies increase. Everybody goes back to the gold standard and we're left holding it with a bunch of paper currency. Today there was an article that was put up about Marjorie Taylor Greene. MTG was talking about what's happening to the us dollar and the BRICS, but she didn't say where to put your money. Usually when there's inflation and so forth, people always put it into gold and silver. But before you run out and do that, pay down your debt, put some money aside, buy some long term food, be able to preserve and store water, okay? Make sure you have good shelter and so forth. Then if you have spare money, okay, then go ahead and invest in tradable gold coins. 10th of an ounce, half an ounce, quarter of an ounce. You can do that. Don't get the big bars, they're too heavy. Silver rounds, you can get those at a reasonable price. Okay. Matter of fact, I think AP M ex was having a special for new customers. You could get it at spot price, whatever that was. But that's out there. But you take a look at what's going on, guys, and we're running out of time. But the us national debt's at 34,827,952,000,000 and climbing. That's $103,382 per citizen. And the debt per taxpayer is $266,952. I don't know about you, but I don't have $266,952. Do you? Hmm? Are you going to tell your congressman, stop spending my money or our money? Because that's all they're doing is spending our money. They don't care about budgets. They don't care about where the money comes from. Oh, we'll just keep taxing people. I heard somebody say that supposedly President Trump said, well, we'll just get away from income tax and we'll do tariffs because that's what they did a long time ago and it worked a lot better than taxes. I don't know. I haven't done the research on that. And when I do the research on it, I'll find out and I will let you know. Okay? There's a lot of stuff out there and a lot of things are going to get repriced and that was a Charles Hughes Smith from two minds blog. And yeah, things are going to be repriced. All right. Things are really going to get bad. Hey, I've got a few, few more minutes here and I know I was going to talk about ways to save on your mortgage. Okay, here are a couple ideas and I've got it posted on our facebook page. Make bi weekly mortgage payments. In other words, not twice a week payments. It's twice a month payments. Okay? You make twice a month payments if you can afford it. If you can't afford it, well, you got a problem. Okay, let's say you took out a $400,000 mortgage with a 30 year term at 7% mortgage rate and with your first payment due in June of 2024. Okay? And this would give you $2,661 monthly payment and an estimated mortgage payoff date by May 2054. Oh yeah. Well, if you gave the bi weekly payments at the, your total interest cost would only be $415,834.92. But if you only did the monthly, you would have paid $558,035.59. So by doing twice a month payments, you're paying it down. But then, hey, you're looking at roughly 13, $30 and some odd cents every two weeks. I don't know about you, I don't make that kind of money. I'm retired now and my house is paid off and my car is paid off. My credit card's paid off too. Does that ring a bell? Pay down your debt. Put some money aside. Okay. Before you invest in any type of gold or silver or platinum, even copper for that matter, make one extra mortgage payment per year. You got 30 years. Instead of making twelve payments, make 13 payments. That's an idea. Make occasional extra payments towards your principal. Round up your mortgage payment. And for example, if it was $1,825 a month, make it up to $1,900 or $2,000 a month instead. Round it up. Let the bank worry about getting everything fixed. Just keep track of your records. Refinance to a lower mortgage rate. I doubt if you'll be able to do it now. Some of the mortgage rates I've heard have been seven, eight, 9%. Refinance to a shorter term loan. If you can do that, recast your mortgage. Okay, you're recasting your mortgage. May be able to help with this strategy. You may make a lump sum payment towards your principal balance and then your lender re amortizes your loan, spreading the remaining balances and interest across the rest of your term. Okay, when is paying off your mortgage early smart? Okay, paying it off early. When is it smart? Well, you need to be free and free up monthly cash flow. Your loan doesn't have prepayment penalties. You wouldn't drain your emergency fund. Do you have an emergency fund? If something went bad and you had to, you needed a $1,000 for your car for repair. Do you have it? Don't be telling me. I'm just going to take it off my credit card and use that and then pay it off. Because chances are you've got other things on that credit card, too. Develop an emergency fund. You have to. You could be off work if you don't have food stored up. You can't feed your family, can you? Man, so many different things. We've almost covered everything. Almost. And maybe I might do some more on Wednesday. But I'll tell you what, guys, that's about all I've got for money and change this week. And you can check our Facebook page. Money and change slice financially prepped. Do that and it's updated several times a week. And the articles there will help you save some money.
