Well, anyhow, big shout out to trim radio network for carrying the show. [00:06:53] Speaker C: You have to do that. [00:06:55] Speaker B: And a big shout out to the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. That's ww dot findley.edu. And boy, the springs sports are really moving along. The ladies golf team is well represented in the national statistics for, I believe it's NCAA Division two. The baseball team's getting along pretty well, and the same thing with lacrosse and soccer. [00:07:28] Speaker C: Wow. [00:07:29] Speaker B: I mean, the spring sports up there are something else. And, you know, we talked about last week, the swim team sent 17 members of the swim team to the nationals. [00:07:45] Speaker C: Coming out of Findlay, Ohio. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a good school. And you've heard me talk about that all the time. They're located in Finley, Ohio, and they have three campuses there. They have the hazardous materials campus. Not too many schools have that. They have the equestrian campus where they have pre veterinary classes and also equestrian studies. And then they have the main campus. [00:08:12] Speaker C: And the main campus has, guess what. [00:08:15] Speaker B: Bachelor'S, master's and doctoral degrees. [00:08:18] Speaker C: And I couldn't tell you how many. [00:08:21] Speaker B: Different degrees they come up with. [00:08:22] Speaker C: I think it's 80 different programs or more. And it's a fantastic school if you're into physical therapy. [00:08:32] Speaker B: They have one of the best physical therapy programs around. And you can get a doctorate because. [00:08:38] Speaker C: You need that, I guess, for licensure. And so they will get you through that. I think it's six years, but it's a good program. Also pre veterinary and also pharmacy, business sciences. It's a good school. Check them out. [00:09:03] Speaker B: Www.findlay.edu, located in Finley, Ohio. And if you get a tour of their nice campus, and it's a nice campus, trust me, good facilities. You want to ask to talk to doctor Kathy fel and tell her I said hi. Okay, another one. [00:09:22] Speaker C: Rusty ducks custom pens and blanks. [00:09:27] Speaker B: He makes beautiful custom pens for your customers or for your employees, for your students, for your staff. He makes things for colleges and universities. He does custom pens for down at Disney World. Hey, that's, that's talking. He does a lot of good stuff. Notepad leaves a place until it's perfect. And he's quite a craftsman. He really is. And you want to get a hold of Phil over at Rusty Ducks custom pens and blanks. And that's r u s t y. [00:10:08] Speaker C: D u k apostrophe s, custom pens and blanks. And I'll tell you what, if you. [00:10:17] Speaker B: Go to his Facebook page, you're going to see some beautiful, beautiful work on the pens. And he also does other things. Right now he's working on charcuterie boards. [00:10:28] Speaker C: And they are fancy. [00:10:30] Speaker B: And I'll tell you what, he does an excellent job. Check him out. Rusty ducks, custom pens and blanks. Also check out money and change every Sunday at 07:00 p.m. [00:10:41] Speaker C: And we are normally live. [00:10:44] Speaker B: I like to have live shows all. [00:10:46] Speaker C: The time, but I have to warn you, I do play in a band. [00:10:51] Speaker B: And we have right now five concerts planned for the summer and into the fall. [00:10:57] Speaker C: And. [00:11:00] Speaker B: You'Ll be getting an encore version of the show. That means it's a replay. But I can't help that, because my concerts are usually in the evening, and that's when we're doing the show. And I can't really pre record because there's so much good information I'm trying. [00:11:14] Speaker C: To give out there. [00:11:15] Speaker B: So you want to check out the money and change show right here on trim radio network. [00:11:21] Speaker C: Hey, over on YouTube, check out Brad. [00:11:26] Speaker B: And Krista at the big family homestead. They're located in the middle of Wisconsin, which is right now is kind of. [00:11:35] Speaker C: Mud season, if you know what I mean. [00:11:38] Speaker B: And they were thinking about moving to Iowa. I'm not sure how that's going, but if you check them out, you can find out for sure. [00:11:48] Speaker C: Big shout out to Danny and Wanda. [00:11:50] Speaker B: King at deep south homestead on YouTube. Danny's brought out some information about what's coming up financially, so you want to check that out. And also, southern prepper one with Dave Kobler. [00:12:04] Speaker C: And as you've known, I've known Dave. [00:12:07] Speaker B: For about 15 years, straight up guy. He talks about boots on the ground. [00:12:12] Speaker C: And basically the economy and everything that's going on. [00:12:16] Speaker B: We also have prepper nurse, one with Ed Carswell. We've got Appalachia's homestead. We've got lds. Prepper. [00:12:23] Speaker C: I mean, I'm in touch with those guys quite a bit. And I'll tell you what, I promote. [00:12:30] Speaker B: Their shows because they do a really good job. They don't get into the finances as. [00:12:35] Speaker C: Much as what I do, but they have a really, really good thing. Check them out on YouTube. [00:12:44] Speaker B: And you might even check out their page on Facebook, because they have pages there, too. Appalachia Somstead with Patara. She's straight up. She's down around the Knoxville, Tennessee area. So you want to check. [00:12:58] Speaker C: Check her out, man, so much for. [00:13:02] Speaker B: The shout outs, except a couple of things. Oh, my God. [00:13:06] Speaker C: Did you know that we've got this thing with this eclipse, and everybody's getting really hyped up. [00:13:17] Speaker B: And lately I've been finding out that this area where I'm at in west central Ohio. [00:13:28] Speaker C: Is having an influx of. [00:13:29] Speaker B: People from all over the world. Can you imagine that? People from Europe, people from Canada, good. [00:13:37] Speaker C: Neighbors to the north. [00:13:38] Speaker B: And we have people from South America coming in. We have people from California coming over in this area. Why? Because the solar eclipse is coming right over, basically where I live. And we're not the total epicenter, but it's going to get pretty dark Monday, and it's supposed to be about, I believe, between 330 and 04:00, something like that. So a lot of people are out there, and that's why I'm saying check around because you've got free glasses. [00:14:11] Speaker C: They're out there. [00:14:13] Speaker B: This was provided by the Duke foundation. [00:14:17] Speaker C: In Miami County, Ohio, and they were handing these out. [00:14:21] Speaker B: Other organizations are doing the same thing. You don't want to look into the sun with your naked eyes without protection, and sunglasses won't work. And if you're looking, I guess, for two minutes, you'll burn your retinas. And that's no good because you can't fix the retinas once they're burned. [00:14:39] Speaker C: Okay, so be careful. [00:14:42] Speaker B: But also, I'm checking around. The economy here is supposed to get. [00:14:47] Speaker C: Really, really, really good because of the. [00:14:51] Speaker B: Influx of everybody coming in to stay overnight, spend some money, watch the eclipse. [00:14:58] Speaker C: When it goes from sunny to gray. [00:15:02] Speaker B: To dark and then back out to light again. You know, once you've seen one, you've seen them all. But, you know, people want to go. [00:15:11] Speaker C: And where it gets totally dark. [00:15:16] Speaker B: Well, guys, that's all I can say is. But the hotels around here, man, some of them are charging, you know, the normal 168, $200 a night, and then some of them are going hog wild. And I've heard reports they're charging a night to $1,200 a night when they. [00:15:34] Speaker C: Would normally be paying maybe the maximum of $200 a night, is that right? $1,200 a night? [00:15:47] Speaker B: And I guess some rest, not restaurants, but some places up north of where I live. [00:15:58] Speaker C: Say that you have to stay there at least two nights. Is that right? [00:16:05] Speaker B: I don't think so. I think that's gouging. And, you know, I mean gouging once every 200 years. Maybe that's okay. Yeah, not for me. I'll stay home. [00:16:16] Speaker C: I'll watch it and take it from there. [00:16:20] Speaker B: It's great to have the visitors. They're all welcome here, especially to Miami county. [00:16:26] Speaker C: Bring your money, spend it. [00:16:28] Speaker B: Enjoy the local people. They're fantastic. Matter of fact, I was at a restaurant today. [00:16:37] Speaker C: I always have lunch at one of the local restaurants, and they were busy. I mean, they were busy, but it's. [00:16:48] Speaker B: Normally busy on Sundays. [00:16:50] Speaker C: It's packed, people are waiting. [00:16:53] Speaker B: It's a place called the lighthouse Cafe, and if you ever check it out. [00:16:58] Speaker C: Wow, good food, great people. [00:17:01] Speaker B: I gotta have a drink of water. If I don't, I'm gonna dry out because I talk too much during the show. [00:17:11] Speaker C: Pardon me. Anyhow, guys, what's going on is they're anticipating a lot of people coming in. [00:17:20] Speaker B: And so they have extra staff there. The food is fantastic. [00:17:25] Speaker C: It's good, common down home food, and. [00:17:30] Speaker B: That'S why I go there. If a place doesn't have good food, I don't go. [00:17:36] Speaker C: I don't even recommend them. [00:17:39] Speaker B: It seems like I always get the. [00:17:41] Speaker C: Same stuff because I like certain things, and you do too. But these places are getting geared up. [00:17:51] Speaker B: For all this commotion tomorrow. [00:17:57] Speaker C: And everybody's. [00:17:58] Speaker B: Expecting to make a lot of money. And what happened one time down in. [00:18:02] Speaker C: Kentucky during one of the eclipses, I've heard stories of the small town wasn't. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Prepared and up to 100,000 people suddenly showed up in the area. [00:18:18] Speaker C: And the grocery stores were almost sold out. The carryouts were sold out. [00:18:25] Speaker B: A lot of other little stores were sold out of food. All the lodging was taken up, campers and everything else. People living in their cars, I guess. [00:18:37] Speaker C: And the stores could not get resupplied for at least a week. Now, if you're in this area and. [00:18:52] Speaker B: You haven't gone to your grocery store, I don't care if it's Kroger's, I don't care if it's Wally World, better known as Walmart, or you go to Aldi's or IgA wherever you go, make sure you're stocked up on your basic items. Because if it happens like it did. [00:19:13] Speaker C: In Kentucky, the stores are going to. [00:19:16] Speaker B: Be low on a lot of the basic food items. The restaurants too, because, you know, hey. [00:19:23] Speaker C: They get their supplies in maybe two. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Three times a week, sometimes only once a week. [00:19:28] Speaker C: So they have to stock up. [00:19:30] Speaker B: So, you know, hopefully they're prepared. And hopefully you're prepared. And don't forget the toilet paper. [00:19:40] Speaker C: Because guess what? [00:19:44] Speaker B: If you go to the store and. [00:19:45] Speaker C: They don't have any toilet paper and. [00:19:47] Speaker B: You have certain necessities you have to use it for, you better get some. [00:19:52] Speaker C: Remember the woohoo flu bug? [00:19:56] Speaker B: Remember that? [00:19:57] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:19:58] Speaker B: All the basics? [00:19:59] Speaker C: Yeah, it won't be that bad, but it could be. Okay. [00:20:06] Speaker B: Well, hey, on the money and change Facebook page, it's money and change slash financially prepped. I put up some videos there. Richard Werner, what you know about money is all wrong. And he was with, with Glenn Beck. And I listened to that, and I thought, man, I got to put that on the show and give a link to it. And I put it on the webpage because it is so important you listen to it. You know, we're on a fiat currency system. [00:20:42] Speaker C: That means paper money. [00:20:46] Speaker B: And in the good old days, it was gold back. [00:20:48] Speaker C: Now it's just basically paper. [00:20:52] Speaker B: Well, anyhow, listen to Richard Werner on. [00:20:55] Speaker C: That Glenn Beck page. [00:20:58] Speaker B: And that's up there, too. I posted something for Patara. Time for humble pie. [00:21:04] Speaker C: Since she's down in Tennessee, she talks. [00:21:09] Speaker B: A lot about different things, and you have to listen to her. Also, I picked up something, a step by step guide to surviving global chaos. That video is also on our money and change slice. Financially prepped. If you don't listen to anything else that's posted, you better listen to. Are you prepared? [00:21:36] Speaker C: Because if you're not, you're in trouble. [00:21:40] Speaker B: Things are going to start getting nasty out there. [00:21:43] Speaker C: I can't tell you when, I can't tell you the exact time, but it's going to happen. [00:21:50] Speaker B: And when it does, it's going to happen. With the financial crisis, with the bubble bursting on apartments and condos and houses, that market will crash. [00:22:03] Speaker C: That crashes. [00:22:05] Speaker B: Then we have other crashes to follow. [00:22:08] Speaker C: That's just the way things happen. [00:22:11] Speaker B: The bubble builds and then all of a sudden it pops. You got to check out that thing on Glenn Beck's. Are you prepared? And that link is right here on money and change slash financially prepped. [00:22:23] Speaker C: Okay? You've got to check it out. [00:22:26] Speaker B: Also, porch time with Danny King down in Wiggins, Mississippi. [00:22:33] Speaker C: In plain sight. That's what he's telling you. In plain sight. [00:22:41] Speaker B: You know, I could probably spend a long time putting up a lot of financial videos, but, man, I'll tell you what. Do I have time? Not really. Well, hey, I gotta give out. Shout out to some people here. [00:22:59] Speaker C: Gee whiz, Greg. [00:23:02] Speaker B: Gotta say hi. Remember, we got a class reunion luncheon coming up here. I believe it's next week sometime or the week after. [00:23:11] Speaker C: Pam, I hope you're watching the show. [00:23:14] Speaker B: Same thing with Dave. [00:23:16] Speaker C: How about Phil? How about Rochelle? And how about Mary and Michael Bayhas glory McMackin, Patty, Richard, Jerry, my good buddy Jerry. Classmate. We've also got all kinds of different people. [00:23:50] Speaker B: Hanson. We've got Fred. [00:23:54] Speaker C: Man, I've got a lot of people. [00:23:56] Speaker B: I won't have time to announce everybody. [00:23:58] Speaker C: Son of a gun. How about Mary, Jessica and Debbie? [00:24:08] Speaker B: Now, I'll tell you what, you know this show that people always ask me, what about your show? What about the show? I said, we go all over the world. I've got people from Myanmar, India, South Africa, you know, all over. [00:24:20] Speaker C: I don't get anybody from Iceland, though. [00:24:23] Speaker B: That's the, that's the bad problem. But anyhow, check us out. Go to that webpage. I constantly pay. [00:24:29] Speaker C: Put stuff up there every week. Okay. [00:24:34] Speaker B: Money and change slice financially prep. Check us out. [00:24:37] Speaker C: Wow. [00:24:37] Speaker B: How about that barge crash that happened in Baltimore? You know, there was some others that. [00:24:46] Speaker C: Were going on, but you know what's. [00:24:48] Speaker B: Going on in, according to USA Today, they did an article, they were talking. [00:24:52] Speaker C: About what's going on. And swapna Vanagoopol Ramasami, I can't even pronounce that name. [00:25:02] Speaker B: And Paul Davidson, now there's a good old us name now. Hey, they had an article there that was posted. $2 million a day in wages. The devastating Baltimore bridge collapse will have sweeping economic impacts. And they said that the collapse of the Francis Scott key bridge in Baltimore, which left six dead and one seriously injured, will be hefty. It'll be a big price. The immediate price tag is $2 million in wages a day and 8000 jobs, according to the transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg. [00:25:45] Speaker C: Did I pronounce that right? And I can barely spell it, let alone pronounce it. [00:25:51] Speaker B: Rebuilding will not be quick or easy. [00:25:55] Speaker C: Is what he said. Of course not. And there's a problem there. [00:26:01] Speaker B: Ranked in the United States largest vehicle. [00:26:03] Speaker C: Handling port, the Port of Baltimore offers. [00:26:07] Speaker B: The deepest harbor in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay and closer to the midwest than any other east coast port. And Baltimore is a big one. Between 100 million and $200 million of cargo passes through the port every day. [00:26:28] Speaker C: And with that coming to a standstill. [00:26:31] Speaker B: Longshore workers will be unemployed. A lot of people will. And the restaurants around there that depend on the longshore workers. [00:26:44] Speaker C: I hope they. [00:26:44] Speaker B: Have catastrophic business insurance. Really? I've known some restaurant owners in the past that didn't have it and they got burned. That's because the state came in, said, oh, by the way, we're going to. [00:26:57] Speaker C: Redo the road in front of your business in two weeks, and we are. [00:27:04] Speaker B: Going to put in all new sewers and water lines for you and make things really good. And it's going to last six months. That killed their business. Beautiful, beautiful restaurant. [00:27:18] Speaker C: But thanks to modernization, that's what happened. [00:27:22] Speaker B: So get catastrophic insurance. You may have a little bit of. [00:27:26] Speaker C: An expense there, but hey, it's worth. [00:27:29] Speaker B: It in the long run, you could have still stayed in business. [00:27:37] Speaker C: You know, you can look at that. [00:27:38] Speaker B: Port of Baltimore and see all the problems there. And the construction industry is, and salvage industry is going to make some money. But then 8000 people that work around the area, plus probably the restaurants and. [00:27:53] Speaker C: Other businesses, motels, hotels, whatever, they're going to run dry. You know what I mean? So that's a big hit to the. [00:28:05] Speaker B: Economy on the east coast. Now I've been through Baltimore. I've taken the tunnel under Chesapeake Bay. I did not go on the bridge. I took the tunnel instead. And that was years ago. And I think the tunnel was just opened at that time. [00:28:27] Speaker C: But that's going to be a big hit now. [00:28:29] Speaker B: There was another thing that appeared on zero hedge and said container ship reportedly lost power in New York City harbor right before the Verrazano Narrows bridge. [00:28:45] Speaker C: New York is a big shipping area there. [00:28:50] Speaker B: And according to Captain John Conrad, CEO of G Captain, a New York City tugboat captain informed him that a 355. [00:29:01] Speaker C: Meters container ship. [00:29:07] Speaker B: Probably about 1000 foot. [00:29:09] Speaker C: Long Apl Quingdao Q u I n. [00:29:13] Speaker B: G D a O lost power while transitioning to New York harbor. And they had three escort tugs, but three more were needed to bring her under control. [00:29:27] Speaker C: Can you imagine if we started having. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Accidents in all the different ports? What could happen? It would shut the economy down. It's going to be bad enough in. [00:29:43] Speaker C: Baltimore because they bring in vehicles, you. [00:29:49] Speaker B: Know, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and so forth. And we export coal out of there to other countries. What happens if they go to Miami? What happens if they go to New York harbor? What happens if they go to Houston and something happens to the bridges there and that port is closed? That's, I believe at the time I visited there years ago, it was like the fifth largest port in the United States. [00:30:22] Speaker C: I think it's. I think it's third now. [00:30:26] Speaker B: And then, of course, Los Angeles and San Diego and so forth. [00:30:29] Speaker C: I mean, we're talking shutdown of business. Can we afford to do that? I mean, somebody better get on the. [00:30:41] Speaker B: Ball because they need to have escort tugs with each ship going out of. [00:30:47] Speaker C: The that port and make sure that. [00:30:49] Speaker B: They don't hit any bridges, they don't go aground. I mean, we're talking some serious stuff. [00:30:56] Speaker C: Here and they better get it under control. [00:31:01] Speaker B: If not, we're going to be hurting. [00:31:02] Speaker C: And then you put the numbers together. [00:31:06] Speaker B: And if one port gets hit, then another and another and another. [00:31:10] Speaker C: Guess what? [00:31:11] Speaker B: Somebody is purposely shutting down our shipping. [00:31:17] Speaker C: That's not good. [00:31:20] Speaker B: Would that be an act of war? I don't know. [00:31:22] Speaker C: You'd have to find out who's doing it? [00:31:26] Speaker B: Are they doing it for insurance purposes? [00:31:28] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:31:29] Speaker B: What's the insurance cost going to be on that Baltimore bridge? [00:31:35] Speaker C: It's going to be in the millions. [00:31:38] Speaker B: And I don't know if the insurance. [00:31:39] Speaker C: Companies can handle it. [00:31:42] Speaker B: The prices are going to go up. I can guarantee you that. [00:31:45] Speaker C: You will see prices go up on. [00:31:48] Speaker B: Anything coming in through the east coast. Maybe not from Boston or New York, but Baltimore is a big one. Okay. Another one that popped up was millions of New York. Illegal immigrants mask true state of us economy. [00:32:03] Speaker C: This was written by Emilio Akin and. [00:32:08] Speaker B: Andre Moran at the Epoch Times. And they said economists are expressing concern over the increasing number of illegal immigrants. [00:32:16] Speaker C: In the United States who they believe. [00:32:20] Speaker B: Are obscuring the actual condition of the jobs market and the US economy. [00:32:29] Speaker C: Looks, look what's happening to the hospitals. [00:32:34] Speaker B: The migrants come in, they get sick, they go to the hospital. The hospital has to treat them. They overcrowd the hospital. The hospital can't make enough money to make ends meet because they're constantly fixing. [00:32:45] Speaker C: Everybody else that's non paying, that don't have insurance. [00:32:51] Speaker B: We have a problem there, don't we? So then our insurance rates go up because somebody's not watching the border. And you take a look at, well, the economy. In 2023, the economy according to zero hedge added 3 million new positions. And in 2024, more than 800,000 new jobs have been added. [00:33:20] Speaker C: But what happens? [00:33:21] Speaker B: A lot of people have to work two to three jobs just to make up for the one that they lost. [00:33:31] Speaker C: I go into a restaurant and I was at cracker barrel the other night. [00:33:37] Speaker B: And there was a school teacher working there. And she says, yeah, I teach school. I have fun, but I come here. [00:33:45] Speaker C: And I work nights and I do. [00:33:49] Speaker B: That for the insurance. [00:33:54] Speaker C: And she was a waitress during the. [00:33:57] Speaker B: Day, she teaches school at night. [00:33:59] Speaker C: She does waitressing. I mean, you're working 50, 60, 70. [00:34:08] Speaker B: 80 hours a week. [00:34:12] Speaker C: Or more. [00:34:15] Speaker B: That's going to wear you down. Yeah, you're going to make some money, but not the money that you were making in your original job. And the illegal aliens are adding to problems in the economy. [00:34:32] Speaker C: Why? [00:34:32] Speaker B: Because we have to use taxpayer money. [00:34:35] Speaker C: To pay for their upkeep, I guess. [00:34:39] Speaker B: In New York City was $1,000. They were giving the illegals, migrants, whatever. [00:34:46] Speaker C: You want to call them, aliens anyhow, giving them $1,000 and then putting them. [00:34:54] Speaker B: Up in expensive hotels. [00:34:59] Speaker C: And it's our tax money. [00:35:01] Speaker B: I mean, that gets me upset. I don't know about you, but that gets me upset. [00:35:06] Speaker C: That needs to be handled. And a lot of people, when you. [00:35:10] Speaker B: Go to the grocery store, gee whiz, have you noticed the prices? You know, I was talking to somebody. [00:35:18] Speaker C: At the lighthouse cafe and they were. [00:35:23] Speaker B: Saying, well, the prices are keep going up and up and up, and we're eventually going to have to raise our prices. [00:35:30] Speaker C: It's either going to be that or. [00:35:31] Speaker B: They'Re going to have to change their menu around and then they're going to have to print new menus. It's snowballing effect. And you know, when you go out. [00:35:41] Speaker C: To eat in a restaurant for two people, you're spending more than likely up. [00:35:49] Speaker B: To about $40 a piece. And then you're going to have to. [00:35:54] Speaker C: Tip the waitress, and of course you're. [00:35:58] Speaker B: Paying taxes and so forth, but your wallet gets thinner and thinner and thinner. Eventually what's going to happen? [00:36:03] Speaker C: People are going to stay home and. [00:36:07] Speaker B: Fix their own meals. And what does that do to everybody else? The restaurant industry gets less and less and less. So they start laying off more people. It's a bad cycle. It really is. A lot of people are used to going out and eating every night out. [00:36:24] Speaker C: Or having a lunch somewhere and not cooking at home. [00:36:30] Speaker B: I do that for socialization. I don't know about you, but I know people in the restaurant industry. [00:36:39] Speaker C: And hey, we'll sit around and we'll. [00:36:42] Speaker B: Talk about business, we'll talk about customer flow, we'll talk about profit and loss. You name it, we talk about it. [00:36:54] Speaker C: And everybody is noticing inflation. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Now Jeff Tucker over at Epoch Times. [00:37:02] Speaker C: Was talking about that same thing, and. [00:37:06] Speaker B: He'S saying there's something about the employed intellectuals. When they are trashing popular wisdom and perceptions of regular people, they are truly in their element. [00:37:18] Speaker C: They love doing nothing better. [00:37:21] Speaker B: It's a way for them to show off their superior understanding, flashing their credentials and dazzling others until the merit of. [00:37:30] Speaker C: Their time and expense in schooling justifies the social standing and income. Some like to rub it in. I'm not. I just sit back and we talk. [00:37:49] Speaker B: And we talk about problems in business. [00:37:54] Speaker C: I mean, if I wanted to be a business consultant and go out and. [00:37:58] Speaker B: Make some money, I could make some serious money. [00:38:02] Speaker C: I'm retired, I'm comfortable and I help people. That's what I want to do. [00:38:11] Speaker B: But everybody's noticing inflation. I don't care if you go to Kroger's or Wally World, or you go to publix markets, or you go to Aldi's. [00:38:23] Speaker C: Prices in Aldi's are going up. [00:38:25] Speaker B: Patara was even talking about that on. [00:38:27] Speaker C: Her show, the appalachian homestead. [00:38:32] Speaker B: And she has to look around for good bargains. Prepper princess. [00:38:39] Speaker C: Oh, man. [00:38:40] Speaker B: She's out in California. [00:38:42] Speaker C: She's a self made millionaire, but she lives very frugally. [00:38:47] Speaker B: And like I tell you guys all. [00:38:49] Speaker C: The time, pay down your debt, put. [00:38:53] Speaker B: Some money aside, buy some long term food. I don't care if it's freeze dried. [00:38:58] Speaker C: Canned, or it's mres. [00:39:05] Speaker B: Make sure you got your medications. Make sure you can purify and store water. [00:39:10] Speaker C: Water, one gallon of person per day, minimum. [00:39:17] Speaker B: More than likely it's two to three gallons per person per day. And I always tell people, I have a Berkeley filtration system. [00:39:24] Speaker C: Our local water has a taste, and I don't like it. [00:39:30] Speaker B: I don't know whether it's sodium hyperchloride. [00:39:32] Speaker C: Or chlorine, whatever, I don't like it. [00:39:35] Speaker B: So I have a Berkeley filtration system, and I bought it years ago, and I'm still using it. It's on my second batch of filters. I even take out the fluoride. [00:39:46] Speaker C: Because. [00:39:47] Speaker B: The fluoride messes with the pineal gland up here somewhere. [00:39:51] Speaker C: I mean, you know, it could be. [00:39:54] Speaker B: Right here in the center or off to the side or on top, I don't know. So I drink water that has been run through a Berkeley filter system. [00:40:05] Speaker C: It's clean, clear, no taste. [00:40:10] Speaker B: And ice cold. It is delicious. [00:40:13] Speaker C: Well, anyhow, everybody's noticing that this inflation is going on, and it keeps going. [00:40:22] Speaker B: And going and going and going. [00:40:26] Speaker C: And. [00:40:27] Speaker B: It'S going the wrong direction. It keeps going higher and higher and higher, and prices are not going down, but rather still going up faster than one would desire. Remember the dollar store? Well, it was a dollar and a quarter store. Did they change all their signs? [00:40:46] Speaker C: I don't think so. [00:40:48] Speaker B: They probably just put up a notice. Hey, we've had to raise our prices. [00:40:55] Speaker C: And you take a look at the commodities market, you know, it seems to. [00:41:01] Speaker B: Agree with everything that the gold and bitcoin prices, the Federal Reserve is even worried about that. I mean, I saw a report where the announce of gold is like $2,300. And somebody. [00:41:19] Speaker C: Prophesied big word predicted that. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Maybe gold will go as high as $300 an ounce. I'm sorry, $3,000 an ounce, let's say, to add that extra zero in there, and who knows what silver's going to go. But after you've paid down your debt, put money aside, get your long term food, have the right shelter in case of an emergency, make sure you have proper gasoline storage and so forth. And you want to invest in precious metals. Look at gold and silver. If you can't afford gold, we're not talking big bars. [00:42:01] Speaker C: 10Th of an ounce would be roughly around $280 to $300 for that. [00:42:07] Speaker B: And I don't care where you get them, you can get them at apmex. [00:42:10] Speaker C: Silver.Com, a host of other places. [00:42:14] Speaker B: But it's good for barter. Also silver, that's poor man's gold. An ounce of silver would run you about, I believe right now in the market would be about $35 an ounce. [00:42:26] Speaker C: Silver round. It's good for barter. [00:42:31] Speaker B: Silver may get up to in the 600 range, I think was the last, last thing I saw. And who can afford bitcoin? People say, oh, I want to invest in bitcoin. [00:42:42] Speaker C: Okay, show me a bitcoin. [00:42:45] Speaker B: I'll show you a silver dollar. You show me a bitcoin. [00:42:48] Speaker C: Oh, I can't. [00:42:49] Speaker B: It's electronic. It's ones and zeros. [00:42:52] Speaker C: I have an electronic wallet. Can you spend it? Maybe it's Starbucks anyplace else? [00:43:01] Speaker B: No, it's just ones and zeros. I think right now, bitcoin was like $54,000 of bitcoin. It's consistent ones and zeros. [00:43:14] Speaker C: You can't hold it. [00:43:17] Speaker B: You can't readily spend it. [00:43:19] Speaker C: So I have it. Okay. [00:43:22] Speaker B: Wow, so much stuff there. But inflation's out there. You'll see it in groceries, you'll see it in paper goods. You see it in the gasoline prices are up. Everything's going up because the US dollar is not worth what it was years ago. The US dollar was something that back in the fifties, do you remember back. [00:43:49] Speaker C: In 19 5019, $6100 would get you. [00:43:55] Speaker B: A basket of groceries, maybe even two baskets of groceries. [00:44:01] Speaker C: And that's just going to Kroger's. That was before Walmart was invented, I think. But you take a look at that. [00:44:11] Speaker B: And then today, I mean, I was at Walmart and I was just getting a few items and it ran me. [00:44:17] Speaker C: About $42 and some odd cents for. [00:44:22] Speaker B: The small amount of items that I got. [00:44:26] Speaker C: And, you know, you need soap and some types of vitamins, all kinds of. [00:44:36] Speaker B: Little knickknack types of things, and it adds up. [00:44:42] Speaker C: And the lady in front of me pulled out her magic credit card and. [00:44:47] Speaker B: She uses it and charges $200 on the card. [00:44:54] Speaker C: Does she pay it off or does. [00:44:56] Speaker B: She just pay on the interest? And a lot of people are doing that. [00:45:00] Speaker C: Don't do it. Do not keep anything on that credit card. [00:45:06] Speaker B: Pay it off when it comes due. I've done that for years. And like I've said in the past, my house is paid off. [00:45:14] Speaker C: It's been paid off for years. [00:45:16] Speaker B: My car is paid off. [00:45:18] Speaker C: My credit card. [00:45:19] Speaker B: Hey, I can go ahead and order things from different places and I pay it off. As soon as I get the invoice. [00:45:28] Speaker C: Comes in, it's paid. [00:45:30] Speaker B: I don't owe interest, and interest kills. What's the interest on cars now? 7%? 8%? [00:45:40] Speaker C: Cars are getting expensive, real expensive, especially the new ones, the used ones. But the new ones are something else, and that's kind of scary. Easy money. [00:45:58] Speaker B: In zero heads, they were talking about. More easy money will plunge the US into stagflation. [00:46:04] Speaker C: Everything inflates. And Daniel Locala from the Mises Institute. [00:46:13] Speaker B: That'S m I s e s, she was saying 30 major central banks are exposed, expected to cut to rates in the second half of 2024 a year, when more than 70 nations will have elections, which often means massive increase in government spending. [00:46:36] Speaker C: Think about that. [00:46:37] Speaker B: They're cutting the rates. It's election time. They get more votes that way if. [00:46:44] Speaker C: They cut everything and then they generate. [00:46:47] Speaker B: It through government spending. And we know what happens with government spending here in the states. [00:46:55] Speaker C: They spend like a drunken sailor, except for one thing. [00:47:00] Speaker B: Drunken sailors know when to stop. [00:47:03] Speaker C: Politicians don't think about it. [00:47:11] Speaker B: I'll be posting some of this up on the website. [00:47:14] Speaker C: You got to take a look at it. One of the biggest things that FDR. [00:47:21] Speaker B: Did, Franklin Delano Roosevelt did as president. He kind of got us off the gold system. And then Richard Nixon went beyond that. There was an article by JP Cortez from the Epoch Times. He says today, states across the country are beginning to actively embrace sound money legislation, inviting critical examination of how America. [00:47:51] Speaker C: Abandoned the gold standard of money and. [00:47:55] Speaker B: Racked up $34 trillion in debt. During Clinton's time, I think we were like, only three or $4 trillion in. [00:48:10] Speaker C: Debt. [00:48:13] Speaker B: If the government would stop spending our tax money for worthless things. To check to see how many times. [00:48:19] Speaker C: An aardvark sneezes in Alaska or how. [00:48:27] Speaker B: Much flatulence cows give off in Kansas. [00:48:35] Speaker C: That's crazy stuff. [00:48:39] Speaker B: We should have stayed on the gold standard. Matter of fact, the BRICS countries, which is. [00:48:46] Speaker C: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. [00:48:51] Speaker B: And about 24 other countries are getting away from the way that we do things in the west now. And they're going to have their own system. And when that happens, the dollar is going to be in trouble. [00:49:03] Speaker C: Why? [00:49:04] Speaker B: Because they're going to be on a. [00:49:05] Speaker C: Modified gold system, and that's where we. [00:49:09] Speaker B: Need to be and we have to get there quickly. Some people are saying, oh, we're going to go to the CBDC, the central. [00:49:15] Speaker C: Bank, digital coin system, ones and zeros. [00:49:20] Speaker B: Oh, you get credits in your account. Other people are saying, gee, if you don't vote our way or do what we want, your ones and zeros disappear. [00:49:30] Speaker C: Case in point, Canada. [00:49:33] Speaker B: When the trucker strike was going on. [00:49:37] Speaker C: Trudeau did a little bit of financial magic and locked up all their accounts until they went back to work. [00:49:48] Speaker B: And they had some legitimate, legitimate gripes up there. [00:49:51] Speaker C: They really did. [00:49:54] Speaker B: How about healthcare? Are you satisfied with your healthcare? Are you satisfied with the cost of everything? Look at your insurance. Look at what you're paying for your insurance. [00:50:11] Speaker C: Are your premiums going up? [00:50:14] Speaker B: How about your co pays? Are they going up? Are you happy? Do you like to be $50,000 in debt for an operation or some type of a treatment? [00:50:30] Speaker C: Can you afford it? No, it's tough. It's really tough out there. [00:50:40] Speaker B: There was a thing on statista. [00:50:42] Speaker C: Are you satisfied with your health and share it? [00:50:46] Speaker B: Shared respondents who said that they have been satisfied, very satisfied with their health. [00:50:53] Speaker C: In the last year in percentages, and. [00:50:57] Speaker B: They looked at different countries. Korea was like 36%. Sweden was like 49%. Germany was 58%. US, 59%. Britain was 60%. [00:51:14] Speaker C: With all the aliens that they have. [00:51:18] Speaker B: There, it's going to get even worse. Brazil, 60%, France, 65%. [00:51:28] Speaker C: And Nigeria. Hey. [00:51:30] Speaker B: 85% were satisfied. [00:51:32] Speaker C: I can't believe it. [00:51:35] Speaker B: 85%. [00:51:39] Speaker C: But guess what? [00:51:40] Speaker B: I don't think they have a very good health system either. [00:51:46] Speaker C: Wow. [00:51:48] Speaker B: There are different charts we need to look at here in the upcoming days. We only have a few minutes to talk about them. Five notable charts to consider in global commodity markets. [00:52:01] Speaker C: Bullion. [00:52:04] Speaker B: Gold'S rally last week, which saw the precious metal tear above $2,300 an ounce, took plenty of onlookers by surprise. And treasury yields rose. How about oil? For the first time since November, oil option traders are paying more to hedge. [00:52:27] Speaker C: Again or against rising crude costs. [00:52:32] Speaker B: And the Brent rose above $90 a barrel. [00:52:36] Speaker C: How about wheat? [00:52:39] Speaker B: The resurgence in the US wheat crop is coming. You can check this all out on Yahoo. [00:52:45] Speaker C: Finance. You really can. How about coffee? You know, coffee prices are soaring with. [00:52:53] Speaker B: Both the cheaper robust beans and the premium Arabica variety. [00:53:02] Speaker C: You know, there were some things where the monkeys in South America eat coffee beans and then they. [00:53:16] Speaker B: Expel them out. [00:53:17] Speaker C: Their rectal area and those beans are. [00:53:22] Speaker B: Then harvested, dried and done with and. [00:53:24] Speaker C: They make coffee out of it. [00:53:26] Speaker B: I'm thinking, who in the heck would drink that? Oh, mine tastes like Starbucks. Oh, I like mine. It's folders. [00:53:39] Speaker C: Oh, I like mine. It's monkey poop. [00:53:41] Speaker B: I don't think so. Electric vehicles. You know, everybody was being pushed to get these electric vehicles. [00:53:52] Speaker C: And they're finding out that the batteries catch fire and in the wintertime you don't get as. [00:54:00] Speaker B: Much get up and go out of the batteries. They're hard to keep charged. Who thought up electric vehicles to begin with? You know, there was one thing, I. [00:54:10] Speaker C: Believe it was Rosenbauer makes fire trucks and they were coming out with an battery operated fire truck. Hmm. [00:54:21] Speaker B: Batteries and water. Do they mix? I don't think so. [00:54:27] Speaker C: Gee whiz. What happens if you run out of battery power for your electric fire truck. [00:54:38] Speaker B: And your hoses stop working? You can't put out a fire or the truck just stops in the middle of the road for no reason. Well, they thought of everything. [00:54:46] Speaker C: They put a generator on the back. [00:54:50] Speaker B: That runs on diesel. I wonder what people are thinking. Do we have maroons? I mean, morons. I'll call them maroons. It makes me wonder sometimes on electric vehicles. I've known people that have priuses and they love them and so forth, but. [00:55:15] Speaker C: When the battery goes bad, try getting them replaced. [00:55:22] Speaker B: What's the cost of the batteries? And everybody likes to come out with the newest things. Well, guess what? [00:55:30] Speaker C: Ford is giving up on it. [00:55:33] Speaker B: They're giving up on electric vehicles. You can almost kiss electric trucks goodbye. [00:55:39] Speaker C: Electric cars goodbye because of the problems they're having. [00:55:45] Speaker B: Just stick to gasoline and stick to diesel. [00:55:49] Speaker C: And if you have to, alcohol. [00:55:53] Speaker B: Of course, if your car broke down by the side of the road and nobody was available to help you and it was electric car, you'll probably wish you had some alcohol around, if you. [00:56:03] Speaker C: Know what I mean. [00:56:06] Speaker B: So many things are going on, guys. [00:56:10] Speaker C: And it's getting scary out there and. [00:56:13] Speaker B: I know you've heard me say it. Pay down your debt. Get out of debt as quickly as you can. Put some money aside. [00:56:22] Speaker C: Build up a nest egg. You might want to keep some at home. [00:56:28] Speaker B: What happens if the eclipse causes a problem or there's a glitch on our financial system or somebody sabotages the system and you don't have any cash? Oh, I'll just use my credit card. [00:56:40] Speaker C: Oh, credit cards don't work because readers don't work. Something to think about. [00:56:51] Speaker B: Make sure you have your medications, your long term foods, canned goods. [00:56:56] Speaker C: Hey, some people like spam. Some people like canned turkey. Ham is another one. It's not normally what we're like what. [00:57:09] Speaker B: We really like to eat. [00:57:10] Speaker C: But guess what? When you need to season things, any port in a storm, it beats cooking. [00:57:21] Speaker B: Aardvark, if you know what I mean, or weasel. I think Gary Burbank used to say. [00:57:26] Speaker C: Weasel, the other white meat. [00:57:30] Speaker B: Make sure that you have your medications. Talk to your doctor about getting extra medications. Make sure you have a really good first aid kit. Make sure you have something to repair your roof. If a storm comes in and blows off some of your roofing material. [00:57:51] Speaker C: Or. [00:57:52] Speaker B: Like the storms did in Ohio, basically blew off roofs. That's a mess. [00:58:00] Speaker C: A lot of things to think about now. [00:58:02] Speaker B: And I've heard reports that this summer is going to be kind of wild, so you better be prepared. [00:58:10] Speaker C: The other thing is, in the fall. [00:58:13] Speaker B: Getting around election times, things will really go nuts. [00:58:17] Speaker C: Keep a level head. [00:58:19] Speaker B: Study what both groups are saying that they're going to do and who keeps their promises and vote for the best person that you want to vote for. [00:58:30] Speaker C: But get out and vote and express your feelings. I mean, that's what happens. [00:58:36] Speaker B: Do it in your local elections, too. [00:58:39] Speaker C: You're going to need that. [00:58:41] Speaker B: Well, gang, that's just about all I have for this week with money and change. [00:58:47] Speaker C: I'll be posting some more things coming up during the week, and I might. [00:58:54] Speaker B: Even mention a few things during my world because I always talk about different things. [00:58:58] Speaker C: But again, a big hats off to the lighthouse cafe. Good food, great people. [00:59:08] Speaker B: I mean, you can joke around with. [00:59:09] Speaker C: Those guys and they love it. We do, too. [00:59:14] Speaker B: But anyhow, check them out. There are a lot of other little local restaurants you need to check out. And you know, hey, don't burn your eyeballs out with the eclipse. [00:59:23] Speaker C: Make sure that you have your cheap paper glasses, okay? [00:59:29] Speaker B: Make sure you have that. Thanks, Duke foundation, for doing that. Thanks for the lighthouse, for passing those out, too. [00:59:36] Speaker C: It'll come in handy tomorrow. Unless I take a nap and sleep through it. [00:59:43] Speaker B: Who knows? Well, anyhow, guys, that's all I've got. I hope you have a good week. [00:59:52] Speaker C: And keep your eyes on the financial markets. Keep your head on a swivel and. [01:00:03] Speaker B: Live beneath your means. Have a good week. Talk to you later. [01:00:30] Speaker A: Money. Okay, coconut man.
